Can somebody refresh my memory on how to get the boot option for recovery and fast boot by just pressing the power button I'm currently running joker rom.
I'm mot aware if joker has the advanced power menu but most roms menu will come with those options if it doesn't come up with advanced power menu than the Rom doesn't have that mod
Press power and volume down until lights stop flashing. Release power button for a second while holding volume down then press and hold power again. Use volume to move and power to select.

I make CyanogenMod 10 for my device. Official firmware - android 4.1.1. I have serious problems with the processing of pressing the power button and volume buttons.
When I press the power button, the phone starts to behave inappropriately. It appears when i try to unlock: not always the first time gets unlocked, you need a short press that the attempt was successful. And if you say I want to call the power menu, long clamp the power button and the phone will vibrate like crazy and there is a bunch of copies of windows power menu, you press back - phone go to the bootanimation ...
By the way with the volume button a similar situation! As is well known in the CyanogenMod is feature - volume buttons scroll through tracks. So if I clamp rocker to scroll through the forward / backward, flipping loops and skipped about 5-6 tracks!
In what could be the problem?
Surely someone had anything like that.
Sorry for my bad english)
Found this very useful and thought I'll share. Could be a dup but didn't find one.
1. Unplug the power cord.
2. Press and hold the button on the bottom on the Nexus Player. As you’re holding the button, plug the power cord back in. Keep holding the button until you see “Google” on your TV screen.
3. Next, you’ll see a screen with an Android on its side, and the words “Normal Boot” at the top.
4. Press the button once. The text at the top will change to “Recovery mode.”
5. Press and hold the button for two seconds to select Recovery mode.
6. Press the button once.

TLDR: Pressing the button lets you navigate the bootloader menu and jump into recovery mode.
Hi,
Is this method working on Pie, MiUI 10?
I've tested both several times without access to Safe Mode.
Power on device
Step 1. Hold down the Power Button of your Android for one or two seconds. A small pop up menu will appear then on the screen.
Step 2. On that pop menu, press and hold Power Off for a few seconds. This will bring to you another pop-up menu confirming if you want to boot into safe mode. Press Ok to let the device know your confirmation.
Step 3. When you see in a small font Safe Mode written in the bottom of your Android, you will know that your device has a reboot in Safe Mode.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Power off the device
Step 1. Press and hold the power button
Step 2. When you see the Xiaomi logo release the power button, press and hold volume down button
Step 3. Release the button when you see safe mode on the bottom left corner.
Thank you
I have the same problem on miui 11
I have been having this weird issue where, fairly frequently I take my Note 10 Plus out of my pocket and it shows the time, including the seconds, but I can't interact with the screen and the screen won't shut off. The only way to shut it off and/or interact with it is to hit the power button. I set it down and the screen stays on in this state for a long time.
Does anyone know what this is? Is it something to do with the pocket protection? If so, why doesn't it go back to normal when light hits the sensor and/or the proximity sensor isn't covered? It's really annoying and it keeps happening.
turn on your screen with the lockscreen locked. Tap the time. Is that the screen? If so, it's your time getting tapped in your pocket.
You 'back' button should be available. Maybe the gesture if that's the way you have it set

You don't have accidental touch enabled? Check in settings. My phone automatically shows "accidental touch" has blocked screen from touches. Which is good. If you still encounter issues, try wiping cache partition:
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Bixby / Power key.
When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
An 'Installing system update' message will show for 30 - 60 seconds before the Android system recovery menu options appear.
Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
Press Bixby / Power key to select.
Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Bixby / Power key to select.
When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
Press the Bixby / Power key to restart the device.

I have it enabled, but it doesn't seem to be doing the job, at least not with the screen facing my leg.
