i have bought a Galaxy s6 - Galaxy Note 3 General
Hi Guys
yesterday i buyed a galaxy s6 and not the edge
used my note 3 for almost 2 years and i really liked the note 3
there are some strange options on the galaxy s6
i cant see a optiom to turn on multi screen
and there is no alfabetic option in the app drawer.
beside this everything is very stable and fast the battery charges very fast
Dont expect a huge upgrade from note 3 to galaxy s6
i think the note 5 gonna be a beast!
Beside this i want to thank all devs

Your Title should be I have bought a Galaxy S6
The International version of the S6 and S6 Edge don't have an alphabetic sorting option, the USA variants do. You can use Apex or Nova for the customisation options.
Most Note users wouldn't downgrade to the S-Line anyway. The S6 is aimed at Non-Samsung users, not us. We're using a Note for the Spen and the big screen. Neither of which can be found on the S6.

Exactly this. I come to the end of my contract and have the option of getting the S6 but the only reason I would get it is to sell it again for nice profit. Note 3 running 5.1 (Temasek) is perfect for me... a Note 5 Edge might tempt me away.
Honestly, a qHD display is hardly noticeable on the S6, plus battery life would suck....
basicly

Umm, no. The S7 will be a small Note 5. Not the other way around.
Don't really expect great upgrade to Note 5....
Coz from my observation: Note 3 is based on S4, only the SoC is different.
Note 4 is based on S5.
From what samdung offer to S6, I don't really expect big thing with Note 5...
Note 3 is more than best in my opinion.
I use the crappy Exynos version, I might buy another Note 3 with the Snapdragon version instead of upgrading to Note 5.
I really hope Samsung keep the expandable storage and removable battery with the Note 5. If not, its no big deal but it would make a lot of difference when it comes to decision between the LG G Note or the Note 5. LG have come a long a way from their older devices....very powerful influence in the mobile tech world, severely underrated.

The Note 4 is reaction to user complaints from the backslash they got from the ugly S5. Note 4 - metal, not polycarbonate. The S6 is based on the Note 4, and the Note 3 is way more angular than the S4 to bear any resemblance.
Otherwise, the N9005 is great, Samsung stepped up their SoC game only recently with the last two Exynos processors.

Not the design, I mean the features included like sensors and smart-software....
And by minor upgrade I mean: only screen res and SoC is upgraded, nothing more...

[Q] Is the Galaxy S4 like a tablet?
Alright guys, so here I go. I've got the Galaxy S4 and was recently gifted the Galaxy Note 8.0 Tablet. I ask this question as a 11th grader. Is the Galaxy S4 enough for a vacation trip to my grandparents house for a week or is it difficult without the Galaxy Note 8.0, the 'portable' tablet buddy? I feel totally confused between the two devices. Everywhere the S4 is portrayed as a do-it-all phone and being a geek myself I happen to agree with this fact then why a tablet? Though the Note 8.0 is a tablet on the lighter scale, is it required when I've got the S4, my usages being : 1. Carrying my photo album with me (I've got a 64gig card) 2. Social Networking 'wherever' I go (WhatsApp, Hangouts) 3. Mailing yes 4. I'm not an avid reader though I love to read (once I get this controversy between S4 and the Note 8.0 cleared ) 5. I'm a fairly good gamer (not hardcore - I play Android games like NFS MostWanted 2012) 6. I'd not want to carry my laptop on a trip. 7. I make ppts rarely. 8. I shoot a lot of pictures 9. Watch some movies (rarely) 10. Music lover 11. Make notes on Evernote on my syllabus and studies 12. Last but not the least - a geek . Please let me know whether the S4 IS LIKE A TABLET OR NOT. Or is the Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet totally a different story from the Galaxy S4? Thanks a deal guys, in advance.

Click to collapse the s4 is pretty big but all in all the Galaxy note 3 is more of a phablet. the s4 has a pixel densitiy of 441 pixels per inch (ppi) while the note 8.0 has 189 ppi so if you were to want to watch movies or photos the s4 would have a better image.
Obviously not Of course it is not S4 is much like a note 2 My tab 7.7 is bigger than a s4
Then the S4 and the Note 8.0 is a bad combination? Why would they wanna build a tablet when a smartphone could do 'everything' that the tablet could do? Does it mean having an S4 and the Note 8.0 is a bad combination?
note 3? I suggest note 3 rather than tab8

Click to collapse The idea behind the S4 was to make a 'smartphone' right? So, is it logical to own an S4 for a smartphone and a Note 8.0 for a tablet? Or does it make no sense like the combination of a phablet and a tablet like the Note 3 and maybe the Note 8.0?

Well! So, even this isn't a logical combination, is that what you say? Thanks for your help though!
Is not like a tablet how a galaxy note 2 can be..
Nice! Whoa, thanks guys!
Galaxy note 4 (exynos) or Galaxy S6, what's your choice?
Galaxy note 4 (exynos) or Galaxy S6, what's your choice?:fingers-crossed:
The Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S6 have both come a long way from past Galaxy flagships, all of which felt about as expensive as a pack of crisps. As both have QHD resolution screens, the S6 has a higher pixels per inch rating, because Note 4 is having larger screen. The Galaxy S6's fingerprint scanner is superior however, and no longer requires an annoying swipe to work. Instead, it handles in a similar fashion to the iPhone 6's Touch ID home button, which is able to scan your digits with a simple, more convenient tap.The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 does have a few important bits the Galaxy S6 lacks, though. First, there’s the S Pen. This is a pressure sensitive stylus that is the Note series’s USP. Even more important to some is the microSD slot. So, it depends on you what is your requirement .
galaxy s6 I think the galaxy s6 is better because its newer.
Galaxy Note 4. Note 4 has larger screen and it is cheaper than S6.
paju1986 said: I think the galaxy s6 is better because its newer. Click to expand... Click to collapse To some extent yes S6 is better but according to me it depends on user which one is better according to his requirements because for someone looking for large screen phone Note 4 may be better choice and if someone is looking for decent size screen, handy phone for him S6 is better.

HI Samsung Galaxy developer''s community, I been looking for several weeks afor a real and fully functional port from galaxy S6 edge or plus to be used in my note edge I after trying a couple Port made for note 4, I still curious why no body have make a port for note edge and I find some of them made for note 4. The note edge is almost the same firmware that note 4 and I've better have the edge panel. I honestly feel that the note edge is some thing forgotten. . Come out guys the note edge is and a beautiful and really practic smartphone. Please help out us , the desperate people which are looking for it. Thank you :good:
Rooting Samsung Note 3 (if so ROM Recommendations?) vs Buying Samsung Note 5?
I'm looking to find a solution for my phone - it's a SN9000 Samsung Note 3 by Rogers, and it's been acting really nasty the last 5 months - super slow, laggy, battery life is crap (I bought new ones too!). Now I'm debating which route I should go - do I root the Note 3? or Do I just buy a Note 5? I'm not really blown away by the Note 5 to be perfectly honest, and feel that maybe a Rom or two could significantly improve my phone's performance to what I would expect from a Note 5? - Am I off in my thinking here? I'd love some advice on the matter! TYA!
i got a note 3 samsung sometimes arrive at 87 degrees ,don´t know what to do what do may change for another rom what do you recomend please thanks
Planning to upgrade from S4 to Note 3
Planning to turn in my Galaxy S4 and and trade it to a Note 3 for a minimal fee. I have checked the specs and it seems that the Note has similar specs to the S4 except for the screen size, stylus pen and faster processor so would the Note 3 really be an improvement to the S4 or insignificant?
To be honestly it is worth to upgrade it since note 3 have better screen 5.7inch and their hardware spec is much more better than s4. With an note 3 you able to run custom Rom such as n5 port s7edge port or even n7 port to makes you enjoy your note 3 in life. I been using s4 9505 for 3 years and 2 years for note 3 n9005 international ver for both device I can give a thumb on it. After my s4 retire I continue using my n9005 as my daily driver and I found is much better to use in multitasking rather than s4 .I bet it's about the screen resolution difference as the bigger screen give you more convenience when you are running multitasking.
