I am running CM nightly 4/9/15
I have looked at my APN and everything looks OK
Rebooting the phone does nothing, and I do have a data connection.
Any ideas?

Did you make sure the APN is 100% correct? The top half can just be there and data work fine. It's the bottom half that can be geared toward MMS.

SMS is not related to APN. (APN is data). Check your service centre number. Just google that it will tell you how too.

I had the same issue on CM12 and blisspop. I wiped dalvik cache and cache and it didn't fix the issue. APN's were correct as well. Did a clean flash and checked then unchecked MMS messages in my messaging app and my issue with no MMS was gone.

I had the same issue after installing adblock. Apparently it blocks the mms connection on port 80, had to switch over to adaway for my adblocking needs

I had same issue. Deleted all other APNs except ATT LTE and rebooted. Bam. MMS started working ?

Thanks, I love my sig too.
And it happens on every ROM I use. Also my data is like 100Kbps so I'm going to probably have to call AT&T.

Call them ATT, some areas are being worked on as far as data....i had no data 3 days, last week.
assure your "Use packet data" toggle is enabled [ON] under the settings.
Have you switched out phones recently using the same SIM?
And, yes i would call ATT (611) to try to sort out the problem, Good luck
I'll call AT&T on Monday since I doubt the reps work on Sunday.

AT&T APN / Help!

I bought a tmo sgs4g and unlocked it to att. Works mostly fine but can't send receive MMS, and all of a sudden started getting terrrrrrrrible service at my house, sometimes no bars and definitely can't use 3g internet. My skyrocket gets good connection as well as any other phone. I switch to 2g only and blam 4 bars. What's that about? Great for calling but don't think I can load a Google search. Please help. thanks.

I tried that, and I get the same 3g results as before, maybe 1 bar, very slow 3g, in the same place that I get full or almost full bars when i check the use 2g network.
I've also had problems sending texts, they will come back as unable to send randomly, even with these new apns it seems like im having this issue.
Yeah cant send any texts, or download mms even with the correct APN you posted.
is there like an AT&T modem I can flash or something?
Please help this phone is practically useless otherwise.
I'm on ATT and everything is running fine. Try these APN settings:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1684711
As far as modems go there is no ATT modem but there are other modems available in the dev section that you can flash through CWM. I get the best results with KD1 but it's all area dependent.

Can you download MMS and stuff? What ROM are you on? I'm using CM9, but maybe I should switch.
I am still unable to download MMS with those settings, or even send an SMS at all? I have no idea why it stopped working but phone is basically borked.
Using the heimdall one clicks flash back to stock and then flash the antonx kernel one click. You might have some bugs and bunnies that need dusting.

I'm on Erikmm's MIUI. I never send MMS but SMS works fine. So out of curiosity I just tried sending MMS on PTA and no go. Switched APN back to wap.cingular and send it no problems. However on wap speedtest maxes at 1m/s where on PTA I can get 3m/s. Yeah my service area sucks.

The sending SMS may be carrier related, I just tried moving my sim into an AT&T blackberry and it wont let me send texts either. Very Very odd. Been on the phone with AT&T for the last 20 minutes.

[Q] LTE on CM10 tried everything

For some reason I cannot get LTE to work at all on CM10. I've done everything and it still wont work at all. I tried reverting back to stock rom, and when I did, LTE worked. So I thought if I went back to CM10 from stock it would resolve the issue, but it did not. I've checked my APNs and I cannot change the preferred network mode and i tried *#*#info#*#* and i can't change anything there to anything that has LTE on it. I'm not sure if it's just a problem with the ROM or what, but I've done plenty of researched, searched all the forums, and can't find anything that will fix.
Additional information:
Im in ATT
I've tried all the radios
and I AM in an LTE area.

Ok, try different apn. Which cm10 are you trying to use?
Does the problem happen on other ROMs? I'm not saying to use a different ROM, just saying that if it doesn't happen on, say, AOKP or Orthus (both CM-based), it's probably an issue with how CM10 is configured on your phone.
If you go into network operators (settings -network)and select att it will allow to change modes.

Haha yeah most of the time this setting is overlooked and this option enables you to turn off LTE if you want (which you don't have to have a RAT unlocked modem as presumed) and if you go to *#*#4636#*#* on your dialer you can have it set to LTE only as well.

I have the exact same issues. I've done everything on this post plus done all the research as well. For my problem whenever I enter an LTE area my data service completely drops for about 5 seconds and then when it connects it only shows HSPA+. I have never been able to pick up LTE. When I was on CM9.1 I had no issues at all. LTE connected with no issues. So is this a CM10 issue or a phone issue?
try this, might help, might not, make a backup, if you have more than one apn, remove all apn's except your lte apn(ATT Pta, for rogers :ltemobile), restart phone
edit: of course make sure it was set to the lte apn in the first place, if it was and still have probs, do above procedure if you have more than one apn

For some reason my APN was not set to the lte one (ATT Pta). I changed it to that. Hopefully that fixes my problem. Thanks for the help!
I have a slightly different problem. I am running the latest cm10 nightly and notice that any time I get lucky and go into a 4g coverage area I can only make phone calls. No data transfers at all. I have my APN set to ATT LTE pta which I assumed is the right selection. Im normally in a A3g(HSPA)~700-17 coverage area. Is this the wrong APN to use?

Yup. I have HSPA/HSPA+ around my house but close to work I have LTE. No problem with switching or losing data connection when I go from HSPA to LTE. Just double check your APN settings. There might be a typo or some missing field. Or you can create a new APN for lte and use that as your default.

I honestly have noooo clue lol.
Took this from Wiki
A mobile device making a data connection must be configured with an APN to present to the carrier. The carrier will then examine this identifier to determine what type of network connection should be created, for example: what IP addresses should be assigned to the wireless device, what security methods should be used, and how or if, it should be connected to some private customer network
Makes sense, the APK is needed so you device can communicate it the carrier to determine which network your phone should connect with. Still not sure what the need is, for multiple APNs, but at least I understand now what there used for exactly. The past week, I've worked again in downtown Boston, and my phone had no issues with handing off from 3G to LTE. Unfortunately I can't say the same for when I'm at home about 4 miles away. Kinda sux really. I know this isn't the topic for this thread, but I'm just hoping Sprint fixes this Spark issue soon, cause it's extremely frustrating.
Anyway, for anyone who wants a bit more info on APNs, Judy check out the Wikipedia page.

Issues with MMS

Recently went to a CM12 build and even with CM11 I had the same issue. I am using ATT for my OPO and I can not send picture mails (mms) out of my messaging app. I changed to hangouts, and it sends out fine. Any one know why this is going on?

I'm on Rogers in Canada, in my case there's multiple APN on my Sim card..
I have an LTE APN and another APN for 3G I think. Everything else is the same within each APN, just the first couple lines are different. MMS doesn't work for me with the LTE APN but it works great with the 3G APN for some reason
Maybe your situation is similar?
I attached my APN list
In hangouts you're able to specify which APN you want to use, so I use LTE APN for my phone while I chose 3G APN for hangouts. The new Google messenger app doesn't allow for this unfortunately..

What i ended up doing is getting off a daily cm12 build, and went to blissrom, solved all my issues. No idea why though.... using the same messaging app T_T
<3 thanks though
I have had similar results with different ROMs. Sometimes messenger app works fine with MMS and other times I have to use Hangouts. I also see this happening when people send MMS from iOS to me.
