recover from oxygenOS fw.
Reply for script error while in twrp for flashing blisspop after using oxygen modem.
It was happened to me as well. What I did was;
Reflash cm12 firmware updater 21/03 followed by firmware updater 02/04. Then continue installing ROM, gapps, and etc. It worked for me at least.

Modem
I am currently running Blisspop...
Do I flash only the modem since I have the firmware provided by blisspop or I flash with the Oxygen firmware and modem?

Lost MMS
Upgraded to Euphoria-OS-1.1-bacon-20150414 and newest modular mini-gapps 5.1 (20150410) , then flashed Full Oxygen 04-04-15 Bacon Modem flashable. Seem to have lost my ability to send and receive MMS. Everything else appears to be working. Reset APN and other settings to previous.
Any help would be appreciated as I am completely stumped. Thanks,

If you are precisely sure your APN is exactly as before, call your phone company and see if their 'reset' will help. Over these last several years and numerous ROM changes, it has solved my issues now about 3-4 times when nothing else was obvious, and it was always the MMS issue for me, as well. (Consumer Cellular)

About 2 hours on the phone with Straight Talk, and no success. They sent several signals, but ... So tried reinstalling piece by piece and nothing helped. Won't be a show stopper for me as I don't send pictures much (everything else works great). Connection with the Full Oxygen Modem is the best I have ever had, and staying connected in spots I had no signal before.
Thanks for the help, but still a little miffed.

This is an easy fix. Go to settings>mobile network> APN > select the correct carrier.
I had mine set automatically to T-Mobile and had to switch it to Metro PCS.

Should I flash only modem or whole firmware on cm-12-20150415-NIGHTLY? If I flash the firmware, will it be overwritten if I update cm12 rom? Sorry for my ignorance.

A great contribution
thanks

OxygenOS modem on encrypted CM12s
I sideloaded the OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-flashable-modem.zip file to encrypted CM12S with TWRP2.8.6. It didn't give me LTE at home where my wife's Moto E 2015 has it, but it did improve signal strength on LTE Discovery from -100 dBm to about -80 dBm but still EDGE. Will keep it until something better comes up.

Can someone please send a mirror of this modem and firmware? I am having bad luck downloading on main thread it always fails on Google drive and the mirror on main thread is wrong md5.
Thanks

Update ~ Never mind I figured out how to use Google drive.

Does it work with CyanogenOS and will it fix the signal dropping issue?

Can we backup current modem before flashing the new one ?

Hey can someone answer the question that has been asked a cpl times already if whether or not people on CM 12- or Blisspop like me- have to flash FULL or just MODEM. Sorry but i thought that's what this q&a was for

Revert back to original Modem
I had initially flashed the oxygen modem given in the first post. But later I figured out that the low reception was due to my location and not due to the cm modem.
Right now I want to revert back to my original modem settings and keep it open for future updates
what should be done here?
Do I need to erase and flash once again so that the future updates from OTA nightly will include any possible updates in modem too.

CM has started to use the same modem as Oxygen OS (that you have) some weeks back. And anyways an update will overwrite your current, if it is newer.

Does the new Cm12 come with oxgenos radio & modem?
Does the new Cm12 come with oxgenos radio & modem? suppose if i have wifi or call quality issues in cm12 do i have to flash the modem or the whole firmware and is wiping necessary?

[MODEM][d800] KK Modem Patched with 10D Radio (SMS Send Bug Fix)

20C Baseband with 10D Radio
SMS Send Bug Fix
!!d800 Only!!
Edit (2015.05.12) - I have dumped and posted d80020y modem to my website. It seems that 20y might have fixed this issue. I have been using it for a day or so now and have not noticed this bug. You may wish to try that modem before this one.
I have tried multiple ROMs with the KK Modem as well as the KK-AOSP Modem. In all instances, when using the radio contained within the new KK Modem, my SMS messages would randomly get 'stuck' for lack of a better word. I posted a Q&A thread on this issue and had a couple of responses indicating the same issue, even on stock KK.
Therefore, in my quest to fix this, I contacted dr87 about how the AOSP patched modems were created. Based on his (very quick) response, I decided to create my own patched modem.
This modem is compatible with KK based ROM (e.g. CloudyPro II). However, instead of keeping the KK radio, which seems to cause issues, I patched the modem with the 10D radio.
This yields the best of both worlds. All sensors seem to be working correctly in KK. Also, I have not had any SMS messages get 'stuck' since this uses the old, good, radio.
I only created this last night! It flashed and works great on my phone. Flash at your own risk.
Also, I flashed with TWRP.
D800 ONLY
Major Thank You to dr87!
TL;DR:
Problem: ROMs that require the KK Modem (for rotation to work) cause SMS messages to randomly get stuck, causing ~2 minute delay when sending.
Solution: Use this patched modem.
Download:
https://www.gregtwallace.com/lg-g2/d800-modems/
(It is the Modded One - Baseband: D80020C; Radio: D80010D)
Install:
1) Copy .zip and .md5 to the root of your sdcard.
2) Reboot into TWRP.
3) Install -> Select .zip File.
4) Check "Zip file signature verification." (File is properly signed.)
5) Swipe to install the zip. (MD5 and Signature should verify and modem should install.)
6) Wipe cache/dalvik (for good measure.)
7) Reboot System and Enjoy!
Note: In "System Settings" under "About Phone" -> "Software Information" the Baseband version will be listed as ending in ".190034". This is the 10D baseband.

So basically this is an all in one modem for stock KitKat ROMs (ex. CloudyG3,etc) and works on AOSP roms with working rotation, etc?

No, this will not work for ROMs based on the old source (e.g. CM11).
This only works for KK based ROMs. It allows KK based ROMs to be fully functional, while still using the old baseband (radio).
This looks promising, I'll provide feedback once I return from work tonight!
Besides fixing the stuck SMS sending bug, any other advantages to this modem? Battery life or signal strengths?
I'm running Lam Hoang G3 ROM on D800 but it should still be fine
Thanks for this man, I always had a better signal with the original radio and now I can use it with kk roms. You're the man.

This isn't anything fancy. It is exactly what it professes to be. All of the KK modem files, except the 10D radio files were swapped in. So if you had any other 'better' things on 10D vs. the KK modem, you might get them in this, but probably not.
Used this modem all day today. No issues. Didn't have the SMS issue at all.

Thank you kindly for the reply. Now one last question. I am fairly new to the G2 still so I was not around during the new KK source days dealing with the KK modem and AOSP. This sounds like it should work for AOSP roms. Am I correct in that assumption? Thanks again!
The sending delay bug was very annoying, I just flashed it and will report back if there are any issues!

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure. It's easy enough to figure out though. Usually the ROM post says which to use. If not, you can just flash one of the modems, if your sensors work, you're using a modern that is compatible with your ROM. Easiest sensor to check is rotation. Open Maps and your gps blip will have an arrow showing your rotation orientation (compatible) or there won't be an arrow (wrong modem).
OMG Thank you SO much!

I have been waiting for a solution for this problem for so long. Downloading now. If this works I would be more than happy to donate. I love the CloudyG3 roms, but the issue with SMS getting stuck in "sending" has been a complete headache for me.

is this a bug in the stock vanilla rom(like what came with the lgg2) that or just custom kk roms like ( optimus3g)? ive had this issue for a long time and i decided to leave stock and go with optimus 3g but my sms always get stuck, i reverted back to stock kk rom but have dori kernel installed. im jus tnot sure if i first noticed this while having a custom rom or if it was an issue on my stock kk rom. also can it be used with dori kernel?
I flashed this radio on the official CM 11 ROM. Rotation/compass doesn't work for anybody who wants to know. Everything else seems OK.

I believe the bug is a part of the KK radio and ROM independent. In my Q&A someone reported having the problem on the stock KK, completely untouched.

[Q] Nexus 5 Massive Network Issues - Common?

Hi all, I aren't a new user but have attached my Google account on this log in so....meh.
I understand that from update 4.4.3 and upwards many N5 users experience loss of their mobile network where switching to aeroplane mode then back again is the only way to rectify this? I was fine until I recently swapped to Virgin (UK) which uses the EE network, ever since this my calls go straight to voicemail unless I manually select the provider myself.
I was having a whale of a time with CM11 and only found out this issue after tearing my hair out for a couple of weeks but it is something I cannot have because I need my phone to be available *always* due to issues with my mum. So what I have now done is backdated my system to 4.4.2 which seems to have worked *but* I now get the system update notifications which I have dealt with but I now seem to have messed up the Play Store
Is there any one solution for this problem where I can have everything actually working as it should? 4.4.2 stock seems to run a lot better and seems a lot quicker in all honesty, quicker than even CM11 than is the gods honest truth.
Please help I dearly love this phone and need it to work for personal reasons and I aren't in a position to buy another right now (quit joib to look after mum etc) have I tugged at your heart strings enough yet?
Flash 4.4.4 but flash the 4.4.2 radio then?
On my carrier in Australia, I've never had a single drop issue, on all versions of the radio.
I live in Ohio and my connection is awesome with ATT. The only problem I have with network is my house and church. Lol Everywhere else like work is awesome. I think the network you choose is the major player in this. The phone itself is great on network.

To 100 % prove it to myself I did the stock system updates, first to 4.4.3 then to 4.4.4 straight after I rang myself from a landline and it went immediately to voicemail. I then tried to install Cyanfox and that fails on the set up wizard as did liquid
linaro, both using the correct gapps and several versions.
So my next try is an older CM M3 iirc because I think doing the radio thing is a bit beyond my skills Lethargy

theres an easier solution than that...! grab a baseband/radio here http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...t/modem-nexus-5-flashable-modems-efs-t2514095 download the zip file to your phone then flash it in your custom recovery. it takes seconds and can flash as many radios as you like until you find the perfect one for you

Will report back, appreciated massively so far guys.
Edit - well, it seems to of worked, I am getting some weird google log in errors but I aren't sure if that is related. Letting it download the apps etc then will mess some more tomorrow but the phone definitely rang and didn't go to voicemail. simms 22 you are a gem, thank you very much.

[Q] Tried CM12, went back to CM11s 44S, OPO wont wake?

Hey guys last night I decided to give CM12 a test and while I was liking it I went back to the stock 44S ROM because the phone is critical for business use on a daily basis.
I am using TWRP 2.8.3, Official CM12 Nightly from 1/14, and PA-Gapps from 1/11.
I of course made a full backup and did a clean install when switching from CM11 to 12.
I wiped Cache, Dalvik, Data, and System, and then wiped Cache and Dalvik again between Gapps install and booting. Basically before and after any flashing, I wipe cache.
Before and during trying CM12 everything was was fine, but after restoring my backup my phone will now wake from double tapping or pressing power button, it will ONLY wake if connected to USB, wich turns the screen on and enables me to unlock. Notifs make their noise but since they don't wake the screen, I can't tell whats happening until i plug in.
For now I upgraded again to CM12 nightly, but I would like to go back go 11s 44S until things are more developed. Is there any fixing my TWRP backup or should I just us that guide to return to stock and start over?
It's because your proximity sensor isn't working properly anymore. This is because a new modem was flashed to the device when you flashed CM12, and this modem isn't compatible with older ROMs. This has been discussed very extensively in pretty much every Lollipop thread, plus right here in this q&a section (there's even another thread only a few posts down discussing the exact same problem as this, as well as the solution). You need to go to zephiK's radio/modem thread in our general section and get the last CM11S modem to flash.

Thank you for the help Timmaaa, I apologize for being "that guy". Truthfully I looked but I guess my search phrasing was terrible because I didn't find anything as helpful as your response. I also have never done this stuff before outside of my old Nexus 4 and that was all on CM11.
Again thank you for answsering, the official OPO forums were not helping much and I was about to use your Back to Stock reflashing tool, but you just saved me a bunch of time.

Hi, I have multirom with cm12 as primary rom. I installed miui rom as secondary rom but proximity sensor does not work. Now I hear many people say to flash cm11s modem. Now do I have to flash cm11s modem on CM12 or on MIUI rom? I am confused.

Hangouts not sending MMS.
Hi XDA community! I have installed the official build of 5.0 and have rooted, debloated, and de-knoxed. But, I cannot for the life of me get hangouts to send MMS. I prefer hangouts to the regular MMS app as the picture quality in it is terrible and I like having my SMS and Hangout sessions merged. I have tried messing with APNs but cannot get Hangouts to send a single MMS.
Please help!
Thanks.

Thanks!
Hi does anyone know why i can't install this pandora on any 5.0 it works perfectly on kk bit not lollipophttps://oldpiratebay.org/torrent/11474879/Pandora-5-2-apk
Flashing Debloat tool/Knox counter reset
I just flashed the stock rom and had a couple of questions. I noticed I lost root and my custom recovery which I expected, but still want to flash the debloat tool and knox counter reset. When you boot into the standard android recovery, do choose the update from external storage option to flash? Does the standard recovery automatically unzip files? Sorry for the noob questions as I was used to custom recovery and didnt want to mess things up. Thanks in advance.
Can I flash this over Rwilcos 1.6TD 4.4
I just want to verify I can safely flash this over my current 4.4 Rwilco's Mostly Stock Rom. Will Odin flash a new bootloader or do I need to do this before I go installing lollipop? Thanks in advanced for any help.

The tar will overwrite and erase everything, including root, and will update everything including bootloader and modem.

You will need to root with CFAR which is linked to in the second post of the official 5.0 thread. Then ODIN flash a custom recovery. I used philz. You will be able to flash those files only through a custom recovery from my experience. Your results may vary. Good luck.

I am unsure about version 5.2 but I installed 5.5 on mine and it works great.
Cross post from original thread since there are no responses and this is now the dedicated Q&A for this ROM.
Why is it with the stock ROM(rooted/hotspot via galaxy tools), Wifi calling has such a terrible lag? When running MOAR 2.2, Wifi calling was perfect no lag.
Any ideas or tweaks that don't involve flashing MOAR or another custom ROM since I am content with stock?

I cant say but we'll have to see how this release plays out since its only been available for several days.
I haven't heard any comments about that issue yet but like I said, its still very new. You could always try flashing the stock deodexed build I posted in Sprint android development to see if it makes any difference too. Its already pre-rooted with hotspot enabled too btw.

I've been trying the same thing
I've done all the steps
I would post in all the threads, especially because you have the ability to!
That's what I've been doing trying to get a good answer.

I've seen so many ppl with it working then without.. There's no clear way to go about it I've seen. I check several times a day in multiple threads for updates on this and a few other things. Not really worried, it'll come soon enough
BootLoop from Deox
Anyone have a bootloop issue after flashing the Deox version?
All went well with rooting, original restore, etc... however, I tried flashing the Deox link file and when it boots up, it just goes to a screen with numbers, and android under it, with circles spinning like a clock above it all....
Or am I just being impatient and it is taking long to load?

Deodexed lollipop will always take at least 15-20 minutes on the first boot or when flashing a framework mod.

I have pandora 5.5 on Lollipop and it works fine as well.
Somebody please help! I am racking my brain on why i cannot load the OA6 full restore onto my sprint G900P. I had no problem restoring the leaked NKD Lollipop and have been running on it for some time. When i load the new software Odin 3.09 loads all the files and when its done the stock recovery does dot boot it stays at the samsung splash screen and freezes when it says " opening recovery" and never loads or continues.
The second thing that is strange is is it will not allow me to revert back to the stock NE5 firmware either. I am basically stuck on the NKD firmware. Some instruction would help, thank you.

It wont let me flash flowers or backward from the leaked version but when I odin the tar for nkd it reboots just Fine.... Do I need to you a different version of odin?.... Im using 3.09 I see everyone else leaving just Fine.... I just dont get it ive been flash in with odin since my s2 im not a rookie.... How do I get off this base and.... It should by all means bout recovery after the full restore and it just sitting there after I flash anything else but the NKD

[q] need help with no service and no mobile network available

I have no service and no cellular network problem on my N5, running dark rom 7.1.2 aosp, with franco kernel ( never had issues before ), newest radio and bootloader. This started happening when i got my new sim card from my provider and i got 4g signal in my area for the first time. I tried manually selecting radio by going in the hidden menu by entering *#*#4636#*#* and i got lte and full bars signal after selecting band 8 ( 1800 hz ) but only for a minute then it went back to empty triangle. Tried selecting 3g only in preffered network, tried manually selecting provider, tried toggling airplane mode on/off a bunch of times nothing works. Any suggestion would be highly appreciated, i love my N5 very much and i would hate to throw it in a drawer somewhere. Thanks in advance
Flash back to a stock ROM and test it worth your new new.
Does the sim work in another phone?

Were you ever able to get this rectified? I have recently been having this problem as well. I have flashed back to ROMs I was previously using and flashed back to stock to no avail. My SIM card works in other devices as well. I really do not want to have to drop on a new phone, but I have tried every solution I have found online to no avail. I think it's fair to say that I am desperate right now.
edit: I found another thread on XDA that I'm looking into, I'll edit again if it works. I'm unsure how it took me so long to find that thread.
edit2: https://forum.xda-developers.com/go...getting-cdma-networks-to-nougat-roms-t3534679 is the thread that I found useful; I am now running Pure Nexus 7.1.2 with a full connection. Specifically, his second comment about installing 6.0.1 stock, backing up the efs, flashing the desired ROM, then restoring the efs is what ended up fixing it for me.

This morning it's not sticking with Pure Nexus, so I'll be trying DarkRom. I really don't want to use a CAF if I can avoid it, but it may become a necessity. Do people on T-Mobile have this problem?

So I've hit a point where I have 3G and nothing else. I can't yet get LTE to work. I'm using LineageOS CAF. How about yourself?

No luck with aosp by santosh m and pure nexus 7.1.2 , can't even get it to connect. I guess my last hope is caf based i will try lineageos caf. All i need is the efs backup from stock? If i can get it to work with 3g i will be satisfied because i did some digging and found out that my network provider which is Vip MK has no lte support for nexus 5 d820 ( my model ) only 3g, but i can't even connect with 3g selected. I guess because this one is for US frequencies it will not work whatever i try but i will give lineageos caf a chance.

I was able to get 3G only to work on my Nexus 5 by reflashing the EFS from 6.0.1; I'm trying right now to see if I can install PureNexus 6.0.1 then dirty flash to PureNexus 7.1.2 with any success. Also, I might just switch to T-Mobile, but I have to wait until later this week for that.
Hi,
LTE band 8 is not in 1800 MHz but first of all you can check your N5 model - US model is D820 and is not supported for LTE on 1800 MHz (band 3). For 1800 Mhz band you need D821 model.
Regards,

To clarify that:
You had the problem with not recognizing the sim or having no service at all. And you solved this by flashing the sstock 6.0.1 backing up the efs, flashing to Pure Nexus 7.1.2 and restoring the efs immediatley after flashing the rom (+kernel+root+etc)?
This solves this mysterious no sim/no service bug, which many (?) N5 owners experience? If this is true, I'd be really happy

It didn't stick. After I lost it I was unable to get it back. I gave up and switched to T-Mobile, where it is no longer a problem. Apologies for not having more testing information. I was able to get solely 3G on multiple instances, but getting the elusive 4G was beyond me.
I've had this problem before in two nexus, one of them running latest stock and the other a customized ROM. I tried to flash a stock ROM image in both of them with no luck. I was pretty sure that the image I was flashing was the latest, so the radio & bootloader should be flashed to the latest versions. But it didn't worked.
Finally I found on a XDA thread where someone was posting only the latest bootloader & radio to flash. I did it with NRT (in Advanced Utilities) and it worked:

I can't remember or find the thread, so I post the images here:
- Bootloader-hammerhead-hhz20h.img
- Radio-hammerhead-m8974a-2.0.50.2.30.img
I think I had to flash them twice because the first time it wasn't right, but there were 4 months since then and still no failure

Thanks for your input. I'll check that when I have some time. This is really weird as it looks like a hardware problem but if you can fix it with this method it's clearly a software issue...
best regards
