[Q] Internal memory is only 1gb

I just bought a tablet advertised as 16Gb of memory. Storage appears divided into two sections, 1Gb for system and apps, and 11Gb (aprox) for media. The 1Gb partition is already getting full, even though I have already moved all the applications I can from there into the 11Gb partition. Is there any way to install applications directly in that 11Gb internal storage? I keep my media in an USB and I use an OTG cable whenever I need it so I would really like to use as much as I can out of those 11Gb I have for applications only.
Thanks!

[Q] Why can't the Nexus use the Google Play Music external storage feature

Update v5.3.1316M of Google Play Music introduced using external storage for your music data. You go into Settings > Downloading > Storage Location and it will show external storage if you have it. It works on many devices with SD card slots like the S4.
I have a USB key over OTG with my Nexus. Using Stickmount or the latest ES File Explorer; the key mounts, I see it at /data/media/0/usbStorage/sda1/, /sdcard/usbStorage/sda1 and /storage/sda1, I can read and write files, it doesn't show up under Settings > Storage, and I can't select it in Google Play Music. I'm assuming something like the Meenova would show the exact same issue.
Anyone know why this is a Nexus issue? Anyone know where the sdcard is mounted on working devices? Has anyone used a ROM that works with Google Music and OTG?
It's because stickmount mounts it in sdcard. You need a rom or Kernel with automount built in.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow Issues

I was really looking forward to this update for my 2015 Moto G 3rd Gen, mainly because of the 'adoptable storage' feature. My handset is 8GB so I presumed this feature would add my Micro SD cards 32GB and combine it all. It makes it look like it does, but actually it really doesn't...
Firstly, when you choose to use the adoptable storage feature, all apps that couldn't be transferred to the SD card when you had Lollipop, still can't be. Meaning your physical internal storage can still get full - I know this because GTA won't install.
Also, you can't choose to have photos and videos to be saved to the SD card if you choose to have adoptable storage - I also know this because my physical internal storage increased heavily after taking a HD video.
So, you can choose not to use adoptable storage and just have the SD card for photos and videos and music... but now if you do that, no apps whatsoever can be transferred to the SD card!
It's a stupid change and I wish I'd stayed on Lollipop - that way, all my photos would automatically save to the card and I could transfer apps that were allowed to be transferred to the memory card.

Customize folder for the Mass Storage

I have an old Android device running version 5, it's a tv box Minix U1 and I want know if it's possible by regular configuration or by using any app/root/etc to customize which folder is going to be mapped to the Mass Storage functionality once this is connected through USB?
IE:. I have the folder ABC on my internal or SD storage and I want that One to be the main folder on my mass storage.

SD card partition clone without root on android

I need some help. I have a Motorola a03s I can't root. Don't have computer.
I do have an otg card reader and I have an SD card 32gb from my SanDisk sport clip go. I am trying to backup or clone my SD card.
I am trying to see if there is a partition managing tool I can use that does not require rooting my phone. Maybe one that isn't on the app store?
The card has a small hidden partition that I could see when I had my laptop that has the mp3 players operating system and then an open partition where you putsmusic and books.
I can see the music and books 30gb partition and access it to add and remove media..
What I can't do is have access to make a backup in some way of the hidden partition or clone it to a new card.
Any suggestions or help appreciated. Thanks
Do you actually have a laptop, or not?
Currently only phone. No longer have laptop. Phone, USB c card reader and SD cards only. I want to backup all of my music and books so if my card dies I can just swap the card to put it into a new player and go. This model the internal memory is all on the card. The operating system or whatever you would call it and on a secondary partition is where you keep the media.. if you dont copy both partitions then the player won't turn on.

Don't you got any library in your town? Most libraries have computers nowadays.
