[BOOTANIMATION] Energy Star BIOS boot animation for LG G3 [1440x2560] - G3 Themes and Apps

Hello all,
I'd been looking for an Energy Star boot animation for my G3 for several days (I even pulled an all-nighter looking), and ended up determining that I would have to make it myself.
First of all, credit where credit is due:
I based my animation off of the one that galaxys3lover posted in this thread. I chose this one specifically because it was exactly half of the resolution of the G3, so scaling wouldn't be a problem. The Energy Star logo and the blue dude next to the text in the first part of the animation were taken directly from the S III animation and upscaled for use.
The font that I decided to use (which I found out after I began making the frames was the font used in the aforementioned thread) is named FixedSys and is available to download for free over at moviecorner.de.
The animation is at a resolution of 1440x2400, which means there will be a black bar 80 pixels tall on the top and bottom of the screen. The background being black makes these seams invisible.
Without further ado, the animation:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As seen above, I edited the animation to display the relevant information for the G3. Also, for the ROM bit, I put CM12 there, as I am running that on my phone. If you'd like for me to adjust this line, please reply to the thread and I'll try to get back to you in a timely fashion.
Installation:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BRICKING, EXPLODING, OR ANY OTHER MALFUNCTIONS YOU MAY ENCOUNTER AS A RESULT OF INSTALLING THIS BOOTANIMATION
BE SURE TO HAVE A CURRENT BACKUP READY, JUST IN CASE
Manual Installation:
1. Download the non-flashable zip.
2. Move the zip to your internal sdcard.
3. Back up your current bootanimation (located in the /system/media folder) using Root Explorer or the like.
4. Copy the g3biosbootanimation.zip to the /system/media folder, mount R/W to write to the folder.
5. Rename g3biosbootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip, and overwrite the previous bootanimation.zip
6. Set permissions to rw-r--r--, then reboot.Flash Installation:
NOTE: This is the first flashable zip that I've made, and I have successfully flashed it onto my device. That being said, I cannot guarantee that it will flash properly for you. If you try this method and it does not work, please bring it to my attention, and I will try to correct the problem. AGAIN, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT GOES WRONG WITH YOUR DEVICE!
1. Download the flashable zip.
2. Move the zip to your internal sdcard.
3. Reboot into recovery mode.
4. Flash the zip, reboot your phone, and enjoy.One last note: I flashed this zip using TWRP; as such I have not tested its compatibility with CWM, so I do not know if it will work with that particular recovery software.
I hope you enjoy the animation.

Great boot screen. I've been coming back to it for a while now. I can be a bit particular with things so I was wondering if you could customize it some to match my phone since I have the 3gb ram/32gb storage version. I'd really appreciate it. If it's too difficult to change, I can live with your version. Thanks for making it!
On the "memory test" can you make it go up to 3145728K
"Flash ROM" to "JasmineROM 4.0"
On the next screen, "memory installed" to 3072M
On the same screen, "Pri. Master Disk" to 32768MB, ROM
And the boot sequence to "Android OS 4.4.2" since I still run kitkat.
I think that's it. Thanks again.

Amazing! Something every tech enthusiast should enjoy, brings back memories. Would it be possible to get the required info to edit the certain info ourselves? I want to edit in my os version and rom. Thanks. Otherwise it would be amazing of you could change the rom name to "Resurrection Remix" and the os version to "5.1.1". Cheers!

Beautiful, I love these boot screens. Had one on my old LG G2, Note 2 and now this. My life is complete. ;D
May not be running CM12 and have the 3gb version, but that's a minor thing!

CM13 / Android MM
Is it possible to create a new one for CM13 / Android 6 (2GB)

For me it doesn't work properly. I can see only the second part of the gif. I miss all the energy star thing.. Like my phone boot too fast..

Cloudy G3 2.5
Hi,
Can you make one for Cloudy G3 2.5?

Thanks
Flashed.
Nice Animation.

Can you please make a generic version that doesn't specify the ROM name or Android version? Also please fix the RAM and ROM sizes like danbest82 mentioned.

I've been away for a while
Good evening, folks
Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner, I've been working pretty hard on my college work and have been too distracted by my graduation requirements to devote any attention to this thread. If you'd still like any alterations to the animation, I'll try to get those up in the next couple of weeks.
To be honest, I completely forgot about this animation until I saw that someone (not me) had posted this thread on Reddit. Thank you, kind redditor!
Regards,
Bobschlomboggi

Hey, sorry I've been absent from the thread for so long
I've just updated the animation according to your suggestions. Unfortunately, I cannot figure out how to upload it to this reply and I haven't created enough posts on the forums to post an external link. If you'll message me, I'll send you the link to the manual installation file via Google Drive. Currently, I haven't tested the file to see if it works, and I'm still working on the flashable file. I'll probably have the flashable version done within the next few hours, if you want to wait for that.

Bobschlomboggi

I would if I could, man. I spent the better part of two hours last night trying to find some way to upload the files directly to the forum. I'm fairly certain that I'll have to make a new thread if I want to upload the files.

If you want to attach a file to a post, you have to go to the Advanced Reply screen. Just click the "Go Advanced" button at the bottom of the quick reply box to get there. Then you can attach a file.

I honestly think that the forums are not showing me the option to upload other files. I even took a couple of screenshots of the advanced reply page to prove it:

Boot animation preview [7/7/10] - Lucky Day

This is a tool for windows that will allow you to preview a boot animation (bootanimation.zip) file before applying it to your device. If you have the SDK in your environment path, it will also allow you to apply the boot animation to the device. I have tested about 50 boot animations and only had 2 that wouldn't load, and they didn't load because there was an invalid line in the desc.txt file.
Requirements
.NET Framework 4.0
Windows XP or later
Android SDK added to Environment path (to set the boot animation on the device, if you don't have it in the path, you just cant set it from the app)
Boot Animation files to open (you can pull one off your device @ /system/media/bootanimation.zip)
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is the dialog to create an animation, it takes a directory, analyzes the "parts" and creates the desc.txt from the values entered in the property grid. Then asks where to save the animation and names it based off the name of the folder.
The other feature that BAP offers, is the ability to export a boot animation as an animated GIF. It will try the best it can to create a gif that will do the animation justice. The export can take some time, and can be somewhat large, depending on the number of images, parts, and "loops" of the boot animation.
Below is an export of the CyanogenMOD 5.07-test2 boot animation
Here is the download for this boot animation, I do not remember where I found to, so if you created it please let me know and I link to your thread instead.
if your interested in more boot animations, here is my skydrive with all the boot animations I have. there may be some dupes in there.
Thanks very much for this. It will come in very handy.
I've made some updates to the application. It now gives you more control when exporting to a gif, you can set the quality and set how many times the "infinite loop" section should loop (if there is one that loops forever). These settings can decrease the size of the file, plus the amount of time it takes to create the animated gif. The better the quality, the longer it will take to process, also the more loops, the longer it will take and the gif will be larger.
See OP for new download.
Is it possible for you to upload the boot animation of the green android on the second GIF? I loved it and i would like to put it on my phone without flashing CM 5.0.7 (i have 5.0.6 already)
thank you.
I may just be misunderstanding how to operate this, but I unzipped the .exe to my sdk tools folder (where adb is located) and ran it from there, opened a random bootanimation, and then hit the phone icon. windows requested permission to run adb, so it appears to have found it, but when I rebooted the phone, my animation was unchanged.
Do I need to have the phone booted into recovery for this to work or have the .exe extracted elsewhere?
AWESOME! It's been an eternity of searching until I finally found this tool allowing me to export zip contents to gif! Thank you!!!
Is this for android 2 and newer versions, or it works and for 1.5, 1,6?

Bump,
Did the OP left this project or something?
sorry, im gon bump this also, but i sent an animation to my phone and it works. but when i flash new roms with diff animations... the animation doesnt change.
i want to know where it gets stored when its sent via the program. i searched in /system/media but the animation in there is the one from the recently flashed rom, and not the one i sent using the program.
so im kinda stuck and wondering now...

I would try checking /data/local/, as far as I am aware that is the only other place it can go.

Those aren't very goof apps to be using as that is the problem. I suggest using something like Root Explorer or SUFBS instead, they are root file explorers.

sorry, i dont check this thread that often. Yes, it puts it creates /data/local/bootanimation.zip
If you cant find it using any file explorers for your phone, from a command line you can do
adb shell rm /data/local/bootanimation.zip
Thanks very much!
Now I can prview it in full quality and see if it's working!
thank you. i did get root explorer and was able to remove it through that.
Boot Animation Preview 1.5 uploaded and added to OP. This has some minor fixes in the animation algorithm and other little tweaks.
The main feature added is the ability to take a directory and turn it in to an animation. It will read the directory, and the "parts" in there. Then it generates the desc.txt from the values entered in the dialog, like FPS, size etc. Then it zips up the directory to a file named after the base directory.

EDIT: couldn't find the exact one but found some like it here

Any chance of a Linux version of this program (Or at least one that runs in Mono)?
Ok, so it seems that since the application is targeted towards .net 4.0 which so far only SVN Mono supports. Is there something specific in .net 4.0 you are using in your app, or could it be compiled for .net 3.5 so it would (potentially) work in Mono as well?
Thx a lot - great Programm!
Opening the same animation which is already loaded will cause the program to crash
I need this BootAnimation you created a gif from - the one with the big android in the middle and the lightshow in the background =) where can i find it ?
Nik
He dose it again.
Amazing preview app, Fair play!!

Oooh, looks interesting. I might download it and flash it, 3VO Custom ROM is fun but can be a little annoying.
On startup there's a windows popup that says:
Error
Run FILEOP
\windows\Menu_FILEOP_End.txt
failed.
Device is still responsive, but the popup remains and obstructs most of the screen.

Okay, so It seems my Maple is stuck on the "Customizing" screen for some time now. I left it alone for 10 minutes, and it continued on that screen. I rebooted the phone, and it loaded upto the Home Screen, and then loaded the "Customizing" screen again. Is there a way to bypass this? I swear it's stuck in a loop!
i've just reflashed the rom n i swear i dont get any error.
forgot to mention, pls make sure hardspl 1.19 is flashed on ur device n flashing thru microsd method is highly recommended. i dont guarantee if this rom will work on other mapl*** variation as my device is mapl110(snap 521).
p/s: and this rom support UC also. it will fire \Storage card\SDConfig.txt as last runCC process
to skip the error : hold home key until quicklist pop up. use trackball to select task manager & terminate runcc ("error") process. but the configuration will be incomplete.
thanks.
where to download. Finally a new chef!
Meh, still did the terminate trick, and everytime I reboot it wipes my data. Not fun.
Going to revert back to 3VO Custom ROM. Sorry monx.
Hey,
I have just gotten a SNAP
It's a Telstra SNAP S523

still trying to get my head around the many different SNAPs
do I use HardSPL v1.19?

something wrong with the sprint backup cab that wont make it install and hence the runcc error.

Same problem. Cleared everything with MTTY as well as flashed from the SD card as recommended, but stuck in a continuous "customizing" loop. Pity, because it looked like quite a good ROM from what I could see.

yes something is wrong, when customizing and why it is looping is because it says in an error message \windows\sprite_backup.cab is not found.
but i dumped the rom and it is there, the abfile, so i dont know what the issue is, might be something wrong in the runcc.lua file? could you check this monx? i used to follow your raphael roms so i know you will be a real blessing for the maple users!
or if anyone knows how to fix this i would be glad i tried to copy a new sprite back up cab to the windows folder and reboot hoping it would "see" this cab but no luck, so i think the error lies somehow in the set up.
anyhow, you guys probably know more then me
i fixed it after once set up, i wait until i am sure its finiched, i lock the phone wait for sleep, unlock and now i see a error message. I install a task manager and terminate runcc error message disappers. Then i edited the runcc.lua file and deleted the last two files it tries to install cabs from, i just left the operator one(first one). You must then next time manually install the cabs, but they are in the windows folder so just do that and it should be fine
monx® I ask users on behalf of everyone for the ROM improvement, many persons would certainly like to throw your baking
thx
how can i download that rom... tried to register but didnt get a activation email... i would love to test that one on my snap

Or name it boot anime configuration tool
glad to see you're still around amoamare. awesome stuff..
i remember you back from the mobile-files(R.I.P) days.
i had no interest in bothering to change my boot animation but since this is now so easy.. i'm thinking.. "why not!"
tried this but did not work no idea why great tool
I've seen a few boot animations, but, is there a repository of them somewhere?
I tried to unpack the rar file using androzip but it failed...how exactly do I set this up?
***EDIT*** Just saw it had exe files...i guess this needs to be done via cpu...any tips?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
Works just fine, but I have a question.
This doesn't change the boot up animation of the Sprint logo, how do you actually do that?
Good Job man, this is a really useful application. I can change boots sleeping, in a coma, but this is sick for those who cannot do it themselves yet. Keep up the good work. devs like you are what makes xda awesome
Well thanks guys, I just seen that it was on the main page. Yes i will include a way for you to be able to have a silent start up.
Basically just a check box that says "Silent Animation" or something.
Im up for any suggestions on this as well. I will be updating this again in the next few days until then. Here is a screen shot of my current project
This is for cricKet specifically, this particular one is not for release.
This is a screen shot of how the one that will be released will look like.
Basically where it says "Install CKT ROM" will just say "Install ROM" and you wont have "Provision Phone"
This program is designed to help you "Root", "Nand Unlock", Install "Recovery" and Push a "ROM" to your SDCard while further more giving you instructions along the way.
Of course its not for you "Advanced" users who can do this. It's for anyone looking to modify there phone but dont quit understand all the adb cmds.
BTW This is just a idea that I might release it. I haven't thought entirely if i should....
O and about the thread title, i cant change it haha so if a mod wants to change it to something more suitable thats fine.
lol, dont do it, ur tool would make it all too easy!
j/k, great job man as always

Root and ROM for Chinese S810 S820 T9199+ MTK65x3 and other phones

If you have bought one of these phones from eBay or wherever as I did you will probably be struggling with all the annoying Chinese stuff (unless your Chinese of course) and trying to root and ROM it.
It is NOT possible to brick the MTK65x3 chipset phones so don't worry about breaking it if you have one of these. Some people are saying they have 'soft bricked' their MTK65x3 phones but that is only because they do not have the correct software to do what it is they are trying to do.
There is another method posted on XDA by a chap (or chapette) called 'bn' someone or other but I personally found it a very long winded, badly explained and difficault tutorial. I in no way am suggesting that 'bn' is not professional, he likely knows much more about this stuff than I but I didn't find he was very 'layman' friendly for us folke that need more detailed instructions.
If your reading this 'bn' I mean that with total respect and have a tool I have found called 'MTK ROM Studio' that I was hoping you may be able to help teach us how to use correctly to backup and modify our ROM images.
If anybody wants to ammend or correct anything I write here then please feel free to do so if you are sure of your method. I am not an expert at this but I can tell you how to easily do the following with software I am posting.
1. Root the Chinese MTK phones.
2. Install Uncle_Tools which is simular to Clockwork (CW does not work on some or all of these phones).
3. Uninstall all Chinese stuff from your current ROM at the touch of a button.
4. Download your own scatter.txt from your phone.
5. Download your own firmware information text document
6. Install BusyBox
7. Install Superuser
8. Backup your current ROM to your SD card.
9. Change IMEI 1
10. Change IMEI 2
Download the file I have posted at the bottom of this page and extract (Run) the 'MTKdroidTools_v106.exe' setup file.
The other file, 'ROM Studio' is for those that feel confident in using it to develop some ROM mods or whatever that they will hopefully let us know about. I am not going any further into that without help.
Open the MTKdroidTools folder and start (double click) the green MTKdroidTools.exe icon.
Don't be alarmed that some of the text is mumbo jumbo, just ignore it and read the English bits! I have converted some of the original Russian text to English but if anyone can clean it up please feel free.
In some or all cases (sorry I'm not sure) it may be required for you to pre-flash the recovery.img first. You may as well do this anyway and I have included everything you need in this file MTK65x3_Recovery_Flashing.rar (Sorry I no longer have this software)
The pictures explain it all. I hope this helps you out somewhat.

"The investment isn't possible for downloading! the mistake stands out:" I have been working with computers for years and never seen that before!
Are you sure your not using some naffy download manager as the link works fine when I click it.
If your trying to download this on your phone then don't, this is a Windows application that accesses your phone over USB
This mistake arose in Mozilla Firefox 12, Google Chrome 19, Internet Explorer 9, Opera 12 (computers). I suspect that a problem simply in the file name????

Sorry your quite right, a corrupted archive. I have uploaded it to my own website so please try again, it should be fine.
Also I have tried some of the other ROM's for download on here and they are not as good as the pre-installed one on mine. In my opinion your better off just deleting the chinese crap and tweaking your existing ROM.
Oh and I have mixed boot images and data files from different ROM's loads of times and black screened my phone but easily got it back again so I guess you really can't brick these! That's a first for me!
Thanks! Now everything managed to be downloaded!
Hi,
I think by 'bn' you'are talking about BM (Bruno martins, a portugues guy), who posted his work on:
- his website
- eten users forum
I already root my s820 using Unlock Root and installed SuperUser, But wanted to try you proposition, to remove chinese applications...
... but when I download your .rar, "MTKdroidTools_v106.exe" cannot be executed.
Am' I the only one who cannot launch it ?
Another think:
It exists a update.rar rom for T9199+ devices on the web:
(see on talkingmobi.com/?s=T9199&x=0&y=0, click on T9199 link, then click on the green button)
According to the date release (2011-10-28), I think this is the original rom of our devices.
The Droid Tools is a "7z.SFX.exe" which is basically a self extracting 7zip archive. You should be able to right click it and extract it with WinRar as I can. If not install 7zip and open it with that.
I have just downloaded my upload, extracted it and ran it and it works fine for me.
Droid_Tools_s810_s820_T9199+.rar
You're right : the second try was the good one !
I launched "MTKdroidTools" and created my scatter.txt
After test, It seems that the Root-Shell is obligatory to launch at each session to allow Device access,
But for me, like on your screenshot, the buttons "delete chines apps", "backup" etc... are not clickable...
(see image below)
I already test an other way to make a backup (by the recovery), but it appears several error messages:
"Error: names longer than 100 chars not supported"
is there an other mean to backup our device (perhaps TitaniumBackup... ) ?
Hmm... That's new!
You won't be able to use the Remove Chinese App's / Backup etc untill your phone has sucessfully rooted which is why those buttons are not clickable.
What I can think of to check so far:
1. Have you got USB debugging enabled? If not then turn it on and try again.
2. Pre-Flash the recovery.img by following this and don't forget to install the included drivers! Recovery_Flash as I did that before using this software.
Let me know how you get on!
I have just noticed that the scatter.txt included in my Recovery_Flash link is formatted slightly differently from the one in the phone. Maybe that is why the root works after, I dunno!
It's all Right !!
I had already :
- enabled USB debugging
- pre-flashed the recovery.img proposed by BM
So I just pre-flashed recovery.img using my new scatter.txt (which indeed is a little different that the one proposed by BM)... AND IT RAN ! (see image below)
Asta la vista Chinese App's & hello backup !
I found the original russian post where this "MTKdroidTools_v106.exe" has been proposed; it seems that it will still evolve... !
Cool, glad u got it to go bud.
Drop me a 'Thanks' if you would
Phill.
Question
How do you flash a splash image to the S820?

[Tutorial] Want to customize your Boot Logo? Here's how :D

Sooo... I personally wanted to change my boot logo.bin just like i did on my 1+1 and moto-x 2014
i typed around searching and reading for the tools and commands and some sample images to use im my tests
WARNINGS/Disclaimers & Responsibilities
If YOU choose to follow this tutorial, YOU & ONLY YOU are held responsible for any mistakes here on out..
if following the commands and screenies are followed step by step and correctly, you should not have a fail at all, ive now done this to my personal device 6 or 7 times without fail..
My device is ROOTED, Yours should be as well with twrp installed, like a typical tweaker/flashaholic
i DIDNT make a backup because i trust enough in my skills and knowledge to NOT always make a mistake,
when i do make a mistake without a backup i suffer, YOU are responsible for making your own backups if wanted...
the LOGO partition is 16mb in size according to this programs root access information, plenty of play space

I personally used the original OnePlus drivers that the phone has the built in installer for,
Minimal ADB and Fastboot installer from @shimp208 HERE,
the above mentioned DiskInfo app, and logoInjector.exe from HERE
and believe it or not, MS-Paint & patience
PLUS... most of all, Lots of READING and RESEARCH,
HOW TO
So you want to do this i guess then eh?!
well, lets get on it then
first of all, download and extract to your desired area the op2logoInjector.zip package linked to HERE
Open said *.zip and look at each of the .png's included to decide which you want to edit,
edit them in your preferred image editor to your liking, PLEASE reserve the ORIGINAL filename structure
Once you've finished the edits, simply run the op2logoinjection.bat to inject the files back into the logo.bin
when program finishes, it will produce a file called "modified.logo.bin", take the original "logo.bin" file and rename it to "logo.bin.orig"
take that "modified.logo.bin" file just created and rename it to " logo.bin ",
then proceed to execute the "ADB_Reboot.bat" file to reboot into fastboot mode ** MUST HAVE ADB DEBUGGING ENABLED **
once in fastboot, then proceed to execute the "FastBoot_LOGO_FLASH.bin" to flash your modified logo.bin
if succesful then execute the "Reboot_Device.bat"
Here is a sample of my custom edited logo.bin contents
CREDITS & Thanks
i give ALL credits to the original content owners below, and me for the edits and batch file and testing on personal device..
 @makers_mark for the logoInjector.exe and commands,
@oneplus for the device itself and logo.bin and most of image content used,
@shimp208 for the Minimal ADB and FastBoot Installer
AND anyone else whos content i may have used and forgotten to mention, my apologies, please let me know if so!
PLEASE do let me know if there is something i can add or streamline in this process
and DO feel free to share your custom edits here if you like so we can amass a gathering and localize the OP2 logo editing here
reserved #1
Going to be adding some pre-made by me custom logo.bin's here for others to try if they like
Stay Tuned!
RESERVED #2 just in case
Maybe a MOD could possibly STICKY this ??
so it would help all who wish to customize there boot logo's
Isn't this already existed here and I guess @makers_mark is the main author.. Please give proper credits.
Pardon me if I missed any of such credits.

Credits are there to @makers_mark, and permission already granted to use the tool
and yes that @makers_mark has a thread regarding the tool and how to use it,
but there is alot of stuff not explained clearly for some to go ahead and flash stuff like this,
this hopes to help minimize the risk and maximize the experience of customizing your device to your liking easily..
hence the batch scripts and tools and samples all included in a single file double hosted so that others such as myself,
can easily find this thread if interested in modifying ones boot logo's.. is that a fair explanation as to why i posted this ?
Sure mate, I have no issue in an identical but a more thorough and helpful thread. I guess your explanation is enough and if you have the permission from the author itself then all is great in every universe.. Cheers..
No worries, and thanks for the care to make sure a thread is valid and credited properly
good forum etiquette
OP has been edited to clean the code in the credits section so its more clear in the drop down.
* also, the MAIN reason of tutorial post, seeing as the forums for this device dont seem to pertain all this info for
the specific task at hand(boot logo edits) and are fairly new with dev's and contributors, or progress is slow in the forums,
then i feel like id like to provide some of my help
here's my custom boot logo for my op2
My apologies for the delay in bringing out some zips, just switched to a new dell i5 latitude with Linux mint 64bit, getting it all setup and getting used to it..
Finally.. Some progress, my first switch to Linux..

Gets Stuck
So, i did everything and followed the steps perfectly, but when I enter fastboot mode, the programm that is supossed to inject the logo.bin gets stuck and just says waiting for device, any suggestions?
Thanks for the guide, it looks pretty helpful for anyone who wants to do it, as soon as I saw the tools and the name of the partition I skipped the guide since everything else simply already became obvious to me without having to read. I didn't know that nowadays the logos have their own separate partition, back in my days the kernel had them incorporated.
Might make some flashable zips :^).

One more suggestion to the op. I guess it's better to add in the OP on android version this work and on which this doesn't so no one breaks their devices. I hard bricked my 1+1 once.
Hey !
Thanks man, it worked !
I'm on OOS 3.5.6 !
Here's the one I created.
