[Q] Need help: Losing wifi and 3G after root ( D6633: 23.0.1.F.0.96 ) - Xperia Z3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I have Xperia Z3 Dual D6633
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted my phone with this tutorial:
youtube.com/watch?v=iPTAwjXE8ik
The only step i made and i think it caused the problem was that i downloaded and used (KERNEL IMAGE D6633 23.0.F.1.74) which is different of the one i have (D6633 23.0.1.F.0.96)
After finish all steps, I losed my wifi and 3G connexions
Please i need a solution for this problem.

This is a question and belongs in Q&A section. Reported.
Other then that, just install the kernelb that belongs to your firmware. And if you use a custom firmware make sure you check the kernel thread

Urgent Problem Network Lock

Hi to all!
I've a problem with my sony xperia tipo, after i've flashed with cyanogen fw (bootloader unlocked of course), my xperia ask me an operator unlock code!!
Please how i can resolve this trouble??
Thanks a lot :good:
There have been a lot of reports for the same problem. I also have the problem myself, but seems like nobody gives a damn(excuse me) for the problem. Perhaps when more people will start getting the same error the devs will look into the problem.
The problem is following. Your phone is now locked to every possible network.
And you can't unlock/decode some of the newer smartphones that easy. Miro and Tipo are one of those unfortunately.
So here's the solution. You need to find phone servicing company that has access to a certain CSC server (Correct me if I'm wrong). That's the only solution.
So waiting for a fix on XDA forums is like waiting for Godot.
hi my tipo has lost its network coverage too
while i was flashing a custom rom
i researched some forums about the issue
but no information exists
any development about it?

[Q] N00bQuestion about Flashing...

Hi, i'm from Colombia, and I have this Sony Xperia E C1504, Rooted with SRSRoot, but my current firmware is 11.3.A.0.56, and i find this http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/general/how-to-xperia-e-c1505-firmware-11-3-2-t2435957 (Firmware 11.3.A.2.23), I have some questions, i'm sorry i'm newbie here, doing this, the only thing i flashed was an old tablet with 2.3.3GBread.
1. Will this firmware work for me? ( i have C1504 and it says C1505, also, im From Colombia, does it matter?
2. My phone is rooted, do i need to flash the kernel when i move (if i can) to 2.23 in order to root like is shown?
Ty for your time, i just had to ask
try repair with sony sus software...

[Q] D6633 vs D6643 (firmware-wise)

Ok, first things first!
I actually don't really like dual-sim but since my Z1 got bad and I had to swicht back to S3 (HUUUUGGEEEE downgrade) a dual sim Z3 will be amazing, but I have some concerns...
I have some kind of predjudice against dual sim phones, but, since there are no unlocked D6643 being sold in my country, I just ordered a D6633.
That being said, I used to have a Z1 C6943 model and could flash C6903 firware version without any hickups, losing only tv, wich didn't matter at all!
My main question is: Will I be able to flash D6643 firmwares on D6633? If this is possible, what would be lost?
Thaks a lot guys, I still have 11 days untill my phone arrives and untill then I can cancel the purchase!

If there is a difference in partition tables, it might not be a good idea to try. I encountered such issues when flashing Korean Stock ROM on my LG Nitro. Though hardware was compatible I had issues like no cellular and almost bricked attempting to flash back to ATT stock ROM.

1) He has C6802 (As seen in the video) which is the Xperia Z not the Z3
2) Vroot sends your IMEI number to an IP address in china whilst rooting the phone
Conclusion:
This is fake and advises users to use a method which steals your IMEI.
EDIT
I am aware of a new root exploit for KK, but it has not been publically released yet.

SONY XPERIA Z5 E6653 - simlock by Flashtool by Androxyde 0.9.22.3

Hello to everyone..
Sony mobile flasher simlock option killed my sony xperia Z5 sim service.... bad mistake by me
Basically i bought a second hand sony xperia Z5 locked to O2 UK- first i wanted to upgrade the firmware and i have installed sony mobile flasher 0.9.23.2 and all the drivers to my laptop and downloaded the latest firmware everything was on right way to complete the firmware upgrade but before i proceed i saw the simlock option and i choosed it in order to remove the o2 network lock from the phone, i thought i could get 2 things done if i was lucky but i did not think choosing this option would of kill the phones network function. unfortunately after completing the flash i cannot use the device as a phone as it says no sim service, i can see the imei number and use other things on the phone like wifi etc... but cannot make calls.
After making some google search unfortunately i wasnt able to find any solution for this issue. Is there anyone on this forum have had this problem or can anyone advice me what to do please?
thanks.

Hi, have you tried to unlock the bootloader and reflash stock firmware using the flashtool from flashtool.net and xperifirm?
Or you could follow this step by step and see if that helps. https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/general/ftf-e66xx-patched-kernels-google-drive-t3688365
