downgrade problems

hi guys i have ran into some problems on my MOTO G Basically im not sure what happend i was running stock 4.3 rooted, and it bootlooped randomly. me being the idiot as i am factory reset it from recovery, wiped cache etc.. but i also formatted the system in a moment of madness and have now lost my back ups.
so i tried to upgrade to 4.2.2 using cmd prompts & also tried restoring the stock firmware ( 4.3) using cmd prompts all goes well untill it reaches the system.img this is what happens

Moto g 4g dead :(

Hi was wondering if anyone could help me, i unlocked the bootloader and tried to root and install CWM recovery, now my phone boots up to the logo then fades out and there are lines flashing on the screen

Now when it reboots it goes to the boot logo then the screen goes black and white lines start flickering and it stops like that

Leave phone fastboot screen - charge battery until at least 50% - then try again.

The firmware image you are using is too old. Your current Bootloader will not accept it.
I suggest you try one of the newer XT1039 Retail UK/GB firmware images from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/index-moto-g-falcon-factory-firmware-t3110795​
It may be the case that only the 5.1 firmware image will flash correctly for you.

The XT1045 5.1 firmware image is not yet available. Hopefully that will change soon. Flashing a different models firmware is a very bad idea.

Is it necessary to unlock bootloader for downgrade back to lollipop?

I unlocked mine to get this working so I don't think you have much choice. But I'm glad I did it: Marshmallow was a mess on my G3.

Access denied when flashing Moto G XT1032

Hi,
I recieved a sms with a question, "is this you phone", as i was replying my phone rebooted.
Then my moto G XT1032 was hanging on the android startup screen.
I dicided to do a recovery.
It did not work,it got stuck on the erase of user data part.
Then I dicided to flash the moto G with XT1032_FALCON_RETEU_5.1_LPB23.13-56_cid7_CFC.xml.
Al went well until i got to the part "fastboot flash system.img_sparsechunk.1, 2 and 3" there i got an acces denied message.
The device rebooted.
After the reboot te only thing i get is a flashing dead android guy.
What should i do or what can i do next.

OK, can you switch the phone off? Just press and hold the power button. If it worked, then you have to press and hold the power button and volume down button for 3 seconds and then let go.

Yes, but when it restarts the blinking guy is back.

[HELP] Relock Moto G 2015 (XT1540 2GB) Bootloader

Hi there, i unlocked the bootloader of my Moto G 2015 XT1540 to play with it and install custom ROMs, but now i want to relock it because i want to gift it to my mother.
I've tried several tutorials about it but it fails. (I used XT1540_OSPREY_RETUS_2GB_6.0_MPI24.65-25.1_cid9 firmware from the index on XDA).

The build you're flashing is older than the one that's installed on the phone. That's why you are getting the 'preflash validation failure' message.
Also, I don't see the need to lock the bootloader even if you are giving it to someone else. Just flash the stock firmware. Skip the bootloader and gpt files, flash everything else.

Actually, you are doing this completely wrong... You don't mix oem commands (lock begin and fb_mode_set are exclusive of each other, at least I have never seen a guide that uses them together, so it's deduction), but that isn't your core problem... @adityak1303 hit on that, you are getting "preflash validation errors" which generally means the pieces you are flashing are older than is what is installed. Very common actually since we do not have the latest factory images currently. The kicker here is although you can likely get it functional again, you can't lock the bootloader without being able to flash each piece of a complete ROM image, which you can't do without having a newer image, meaning ALL pieces, you must flash gpt.bin and bootloader, and every piece to relock.
Why the urge to relock? You know it will never go back to the way it was, you will still have to use the modified logo.bin to cover the unlock warning page (that never goes away) and the bootloader and getvar will always show it has been unlocked... There is no point except pure security to relock the bootloader, but you will still know it was once unlocked.

Thanks for your help, I flashed stock ROM (without gpt.bin and bootloader.bin), custom logo.bin and yep it works also I got the January OTA.
