The homescreen just closes so other apps have more memory to use, it's common if you use memory hungry apps like Chrome or the Camera but it'll only happen if there's not enough RAM at that moment.
The apps crashing... doesn't happen to me so, can't help you with that.

Home keeps reloading itself

As we all know when there is not enough RAM to start a new app the OS unloads one from the background. And this is happening all the time with Home. If I open an application, then some other, and maybe other (all from the list of recently ran apps) and then decide to go to Home it turns black, then loads the wallpaper and after some time the icons. While I am waiting for the icons I can't pull the drawer. And this is lasting several seconds!
I am using the ordinary Home, not aHome, dxTop or whatever alternative.
I have 2 and a half pages with icons and no widgets.
That's totally ridiculous! There should be a way to protect Home from reloading!
I get this too, pretty annoying but you just have to wait it out

Sense crashing when using Chrome

So i noticed every time i do some browsing on the Chrome browser it crashes Sense. Every single time. Sense home screen (i have 4 screens) crashes and has to re-load.
Is chrome a memory hog with our phone? Is there a way to not make sense crash? It's annoying because if i have to make a phone call right away, i can't and have to wait for sense to re-load.
I read that the agenda widget causes sense to crash, so i removed all widgets from my home screen and it still crashed!
I like Chrome because i don't like how the default browser tries to center the text after i zoom in. I've disabled the "adjust to fit screen" but it still tries to align the text when zoomed. This is very annoying.
The new dolphin browser HD didn't seem to crash sense but it has the 3 menu dots at the bottom of the screen and that makes the browser an inconvenience due to missing screen space.
Wondering if anybody else is using Chrome and having the same issues.

is it actually crashing with an error message or is it just reloading?
It is normal if sens restarts for our device. It is because out of memory. Thanks for HTC %)

Reloading. I'm guessing due to lack of memory. But i'm not familiar with chrome and how much memory it uses. I only have 1 tab open. When i go to task manager while running chrome, it never shows up.
Yep. Did it for me too. Switched to Apex Launcher and it hasn't done it since.

I am having the same problem with sense but it is also doing it with Apex launcher. I am testing ICS Browser + to see if that works.

[Q] Issue with some apps (Facebook, flipboard etc)

For the last few days, some apps on my phone, mainly facebook and flipboard are taking long time to open. For example, if I open Facebook app, the whole screen becomes white, and sometimes it takes a very long time to open, in fact just today when I opened facebook app, the screen became white, and it took so long, that I had to press home button. Same happens with flipboard app. However if I'm using these apps, and just minimize them (by pressing the home button), opening them again after 5 to 10 mins doesn't seem to cause any issue. But if I again open them after an hour or two or may be more, the same thing happens.
Is anyone else facing this issue? Why is this? I've tried factory reset as well , coz the same thing happened with Google+ app, but again facing the same issue with facebook, flipboard etc.
Is it because of auto-sync enabled? Now I've disabled facebook "live feed" auto-sync, lets see whether it works fine or not.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Seems only i m facing this issue :S

Notification Menu Lag

Whenever I receive a text or Google hangouts message, I normally pull down the notification Menu and tap the message to take me to the chat (within Google hangouts app). I've noticed when accessing a message from the notification panel, there is very long lag/delay until the actually message opens up. Anyone know what might be causing this ?

I've noticed this too, it was also happening to me on the s6 edge.
Its the way that Samsung has its memory management set up. It basically closes the app and when you relaunch it, it has to start up fresh. Same thing happens if you start up an app normally, hit the home button and try going back into the app. Especially if its a larger app like a game. The phone closes it out to keep the system memory free. If you are rooted, try this, will probably fix the issue for you guys http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/arter97-kernel-galaxy-note-5-t3189907

With hardware like this I'm shocked that it has this issue. My nexus 5 blazes through app switching and notifications with no lag, maybe a software patch will come in the future.

I totally agree. My Nexus 6 had no issues either.
This is actually caused by the 5 second delay built into Android. Basically, there's a 5 second window after pressing Home (from another app) that the system won't launch/open an activity (opening Hangouts after pressing Home and then tapping a notification from the drawer). It goes as far back as 1.6: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=4536
Here's an Xposed module to prevent the 5 second delay: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/stopswitchdelay-remove-5s-delay-to-apps-t2688574
Here's a stackoverflow thread with possibly useful information: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...-after-home-button-pressed-without-the-5-seco

Apps slow to load

Has anyone else had an issue with apps being slow to load from the home screen?
Y'know, how when you click an app, it'll immediately go into the animation and start loading? Well with a few select apps for me (mostly browser apps like Chrome and Brave, but sometimes with Facebook and others) there's a slight pause between when I click on the app and when the animation starts.
It's almost as if there's a latency issue, but it only happens when opening those apps from the home screen. If I'm clicking open a link in facebook, or loading from a google search, or toggling apps from the recent apps page, the delay isn't present at all.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? It's kind of annoying as the S7 and S8 are the only devices I've used in years now where this has been a problem.
