I was searching for a method to root + update to Lollipop for HTC 620G Dual sim.
I found one online as well [link], but the author mentioned the credit as XDA forums. As per my knowledge, there wasnt any thread like that here.
Quick googling lead me to XDA's thread which was for -
HTC One SV --> One SV Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting --> [Q] Upgrade my SV to Kitkat? by soundmangle
Is the method applicable to HTC 620G Dual SIM ?

It's impossible to create a custom rom that works on all devices because all of them have different hardware, so the site is probably fake. It requires to complete a survey to download the files, which is normally a bad sign; the comments also look faked down

For this type of thing, it would be highly suggested to create your own thread in the Q&A section instead of piggybacking on a post, just a FYI.
Back on topic: As a rule of thumb, anything that has a survey download thing is mostly BS. .001% of the time you actually get something, but whoopee, there's another survey on the way as well! These survey sites are notorious for being annoying to death, download viruses to your computer, do weird stuff with popups and stuff, and even if the survey thing is legit (which you have no idea of), often don't actually mark it as completed because they're stupid like that.
For a ROM, even though I have zero experience on that, the download should most of the time be free, and you know, lacking of stupid paywalls which do stupid things to your computer. Even if it's paid (which I have no experience of how many, if any, are), I would expect a clean payment system through paypal or something.
Would EXTREMELY suggest you do a legit virus scan on your computer, those survey sites always download something weird onto your computer, so you should scan it and make sure nothing stupid is residing in your computer.

HTC E9+ Indian edition - Rooting
Hello Dear Members,
I have just purchased HTC E9+ Indian edition and was unable to find any thing on web for rooting this model of phone.
May be because its new phone and hence might take time. However i know when we root initially we have to unlock boot loader and this wipes the phone. So wanted to check that if there is any possibility as I have started using the phone and it will be difficult later.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Tried my best but was not able to find any thread which would be suitable for this hence posting here. Sorry if i posted at wrong place.

Hi,
it would be best if you register on the site and ask over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-816/help
But be sure to tell the members in that subforum that you have the HTC 816g (from what I read, it's the dual sim variant). Be careful before doign anything to your device. Good luck!
