Hello everyone!
My phone got stucked on boot animation when in just rebooted my phone (i really didn't do anything).
I already have tried (A): Flashing a custom recovery and then a rom from there; and (B) a Factory Image with the procedure 1 and 2 from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
I tried to flash KitKat and Lollipop images with both methods and all the roms do the same (Stuck on Boot Animation: Flying dots). Nothing seems to work. I'm really stuck on it. :crying:
My phone is a Nexus 5 Hammerhead D820(H) Baseband M897A-2.0.50.2.25
PD: The power buttons is OK
Edit: When i was writing this, i 'magically' solved it.
1. With my Phone plugged into the pc in Fastboot mode, i made a 'Factory reset'
with the next adb commands:
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
2. Then i flashed the Kitkat image.
3. It Works!
Hope it would be useful
Is this something that a non rooted nexus 5 can do?

I flashed my Nexus S, I9023, with the new ICS update from the Google servers

Going into fastboot and choosing recovery doesn't help
I can only see a lying Android with a red triangle and then nothing happens

Try this...it will work after that : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1397393
tried it but i can't get it working
I always get a theme failure...
you will need to do do a full wipe. then install as install from sd card and locate the update file.
Same Issue Here

Hi, any luck with this issue?! I'm having exactly the same problem
You could try flashing the recovery through fastboot or even wipe the device and flash the ROM through fastboot.
Thanks... At the end I wasn't even able to get into Clockwork Mod Recovery. Found a guide on how to force my way into Clockwork Mod, and tried to load a ROM - without success...
I ended up leaving my phone on boot the whole night, and sure enough, it was working in the morning. Mind you, I've had it booting or more than half an hour before, and nothing happened.
So personally, I don't have an explanation why it works all of a sudden.
My suggestion is, leave it booting overnight and "hope for the best" - it worked for me.
Hi,
I got a Nexus 5 about 40 days back. The phone randomly switched off a few times. I performed a factory reset as suggested by the Google Support team and other forum posts here. Yesterday, the phone switched off. On going into the bootloader, I am able to view the different options. On selecting recovery mode, it just goes to a blank screen.
The phone is not rooted.
Please help me out.

Thanks for helping me out,
I did the steps as mentioned in the guide, but ran into a problem while unlocking the bootloader.
After entering the command, "fastboot oem unlock" the bootloader gets unlocked.
But on entering the next command, "fastboot reboot" it goes back to unlocked state.
How do I proceed?
thanks again
you said it went from unlocked to unlocked? did you mean goes back to locked?

Hi guys, I'm here because my Moto G doesn't enters in recovery mode, keeps booting forever, and I can't find anything that helps me to fix that. I've tried to unlock it, but it didn't work. Now I can only start my cellphone in the fastboot mode and it keeps saying every time I try to turn it on these two mensages: ''failed to validate system image'' and ''fastboot reason: fall-through from recovery boot mode''. I think the problem is in the fastboot, but I can't fix it, I don't understand too much of this stuff. Can you guys help me out here?
We need more info.
What were you doing when it started bootlooping?
What do you mean when you say you "unlocked it" ??
Do you have a custom recovery?
- if so, which one?
- have you made a backup at
any time?

Well, I woke up and the Moto G was bootlooping... I may say that long time ago my cellphone dropped into my sink, but I don't think that was the problem it worked since now without any problems.
I don't have any custom recovery and didn't make a backup either. The ''unlock'' was a attempt to install a custom recovery, I've asked motorola the pin to unlock to ''developers'', the one used to root...
@Zeh Silveira, sorry for the big delay!
Yesterday I had the same problem of you: couldn't enter in recovery mode.
How I fixed it: flashed TWRP from Windows and then CyanogenMod ROM.

Well guys, I really need your help.
I was trying to flash CM onto my Moto G LTE. But something went wrong I guess.
It hangs at the Bootloader Unlocked screen.
I can get into the screen where you press power+vol. down, but cant get into recovery.
ADB isn't listing it.
Can someone please help me?
I'm literally breaking down over this :crying:
Feel like an idiot now
Welp, turns out I just needed to reflash CWM.
Truth be told, I feel an idiot.
What did I learn from this not-disaster?
Don't panic. Someone somewhere has a solution.
If mods could do a delety thing, that'd be great.
download xml.zip

thank you so much for your help.somehow i got it back up and running
Had the same happen to me. It didn't want to go into recovery gave a message it failed. With some patience I manged to get the button combo to work for fastboot then did a flash-all of the factory image. I think the trick was it had to be plugged in to get to download mode and I think you may hit the power button slightly before the volume down. It was a bit tedious. I tried to recover the boot.img and that trashed things up worse, got no google loading logo or something odd. Anyhow flashing the full factory image fixed things!
Glad you got it resolved, maybe this helps someone else in the same spot.
