It's not even officially out for 6 days, come back in a month, and be more patient.

Root is already available for the S6, so I guess that recovery will be available in a few days
and in any case, before the S6 is released on the 10th of April

I am with you man.... Patiently awaiting it. Custom recoveries are more important to me than ROM cause I can do full system/stock backups. That way I always have my starting point in-case I get a little crazy with the device and mess something up.

Woot Woot!!!!! Custom Recovery Available TWRP for Galaxy S6
I was just using the Flashify App and found that TWRP Custom Recovery for the Samsung Galaxy S6 is available. Before it was just the edge... now it is for the S6 Happy Flashing!! Now time for some Custom ROMs.

Is there a odin flashable version available? Does flashify work for the T-Mobile version?

So has anyone tried this yet? And if so, what method?

Here's the download link:

I have a feeling that it would work on both international and T-mobile variants as they are virtually the same device from the inside. But, I haven't worked with a Samsung device in a while so I'm sure things have changed since the international s2 stuff working on the s2 i777 variant days. Could someone confirm?

I just flashed the recovery with odin on my G920F. Works perfectly!!
Did a Nandroid right away..

I made a Video for Custom Recovery

Looking for the Stock rom, flashable via odin for my soon to be purchased Galaxy tab 8.0 T330
Looks like there is zippo development for this device..
is it even worth purchasing?
You can root it, just no custom recovery yet. I love the tablet

Yes it is worth purchasing. I haven't even tried rooting this tablet because of the lack of custom ROM development for this tablet but the stock ROM works great on this tablet, in my opinion. Haven't had any major issues with it at all. I upgraded to this from the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" WiFi only model and haven't regretted making this purchase at all.
You can go onto sammobile.com to find the stock ROM to download it to your computer and it is flushable via Odin.

That looks like its for a LTE model not the Wifi version
The current rom on my device is T33NUUEU1AND4
That would likely not work, and is not rated for this device..
I don't want to risk flashing a ROM for another device

Actually that is the wifi version. Sammobile typically lists the US wifi version as Cellular South. No idea why.
The NK1 means it is newer than your ND4.

I'm assuming its likely ok to install the Canadian version which is T330NUUEU1ANK1, but I'd rather wait for the official US version.. rather than install another functional yet not US version.. This tablet now has an unoffical TWRP port which works well.. So I have a working Nandroid back up which is based on the original T330NUUEUAND4 Firmware....
I have the sm-T330 NU wifi US model. It came with
the firmware T330NUUEU1AND4. I took the
System OTA update and the firmware was changed
to T330NUUEU1ANK1. Later I was able to root it

You asked a yes or no question. With that setup, you simply can't root without tripping knox - the only root method available to the g920p on 5.1.1 trips knox (and no you can't downgrade to 5.0.2 either). Sorry.

That's the good news - it's super easy, and takes just a few minutes.
step 1 - odin one of the kernels from this thread.
And that's it. You're now rooted. Most people go with the one labeled 920p (UniKernel-v6-0001-920P-080215.tar) - its a port of the unikernel, which gets rid of the lags and stutters that crop up on the phone.
You can then odin this version of TWRP, which will allow you to flash other zips in recovery. I think you can even odin this first if you want, then flash the kernel in recovery like any other zip.
check out this thread for more cool stuff to do once rooted. We even have a working version of xposed now.
edit - make sure you have OEM Unlocking enabled in Developer Options before flashing the kernel

Note5 and Edge+

I'm currently using a G928T Edge + running TEKHD's Note5 ROM. My device settings show up as Note5 including the model number, all that stuff.
Question is that if I download all necessary 6.0 files for the Note5, couldn't just flash everything via Odin onto my edge and be good to go? Since my device is now recognized as a Note, using all of Note's software (kernel I'm not too sure because I had Arters before I flashed TEK's ROM).
Anyone know?

You can odin flash the Tmobile Note 5 firmare however you will loose all the S6 edge+ special
side panel features and the spen features of the Note 5 will NOT work on the phone just because
you odin flash Note 5 firmware.
Tmobile has already started rolling out the OTA update Note 5 and S6 Edge+ 6.0 firmware in the
past 24 hours according to Sammobile.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

But if I flash the firmware for the Note5, what about the Arter kernel for the note5 6.0.1? I think I'll have to flash an international ROM and then the call audio fix...right?
I don't care about the edge features as I don't use them, I just like the look of the phone to be honest.
Oh and the edge plus has not been rolled out

Flash a G930F Rom on a G930K SGS7?

Hello everybody,
I'm looking for the answer of my question but I still didn't find it. I live in Hong Kong and I bought a SGS7 from Korea, the model is SM-G930K. The phone is unlocked but there are bloatwares from the carrier and I can't remove the sound of the camera on this model.
That's why I was wondering if I could use an international rom like from the SM-G930F? I wanted to try but I'm afraid of bricking the phone. The SM-G930K from Korea is also a Exynios version, so I really hope I can flash it with an international rom.
Thanks in advance.

G930K user here, too. Yes you can, but directly flashing G930F firmware through odin is not possible due to difference in partition sizes. Still, you can flash custom ROMs which can be installed through TWRP(e.g. Superman ROM).

But custom ROMs have to mention G930K or not? Or just a classic custom ROMs from G930F is ok?
I remember, a long time ago, may be before Android, I edited the ROM just with an hexadecimal app, and I could change the model and some stuff. We can't do something like this neither?

Isn't it what the re-partition option for?
Sorry to bump an old thread, but that't the clearest discussion I've found so far regarding flashing on the K variant.
I'm asking this for the S7E though (G935K > G935F) and everyone on the other forum says that it is just impossible to do anything on the K version ( which seems weird to me since the hardware is exactly the same and root/TWRP work fine).

I made a research during few weeks about that, and it's still not clear. I have also read that the modem is faster than the classic S7. But I have not found a loud and clear answer.

Hi. Apparently you cannot. If you want another rom, you have to install an alternative recovery, root your phone, and install a custom rom.

Hi. No you cannot. Check my previous message, the only way is to install custom rom.
Those devices have same hardware. But the partition sizes are different. If you want to know, just flash custom recovery (TWRP) to your korean S7 and flash LineageOS or RR. Because all of them suggested our devices as well like this: (G930 F|W8|K|L|S). It will fail when you try to flash it by recovery. Because Galaxy S7's Korean variant's partition sizes are different from international and canadian S7s. There was one guide to flash AOSP ROMs to Korean S7's. There will be guide to resize of partitions on ROM's installation. But all commands are needs Linux Based OS, but not Android. I was tried it by Termux on my Galaxy S7. ext2simg command was still not available on Android's terminal . Others was available... so sad. And python codes are so simple to run. One day I will try it on Linux Based OS'd PC.

Not fine. But our devices have same hardware (F = W8 = K = L = S). Only the partition sizes are different. You just need to flash custom recovery (TWRP) then choose custom rom what you want for your S7. I'm suggesting SuperMan ROM and BatMan ROM. They are so stable, and clean. BatMan ROM was not fully stable on my G930K. Then I tried SuperMan ROM's clean, stock installation method on AROMA. It was really clean and Stable on my G930K. Try it bro :fingers-crossed: all of them TouchWiz interfaced. If you want try AOSP, you need to resize your partition sizes by this guide.

Yes, I have tried that ROM & its Odin flashable
Can i flash this on the SM-S550TL?
Has anyone tried this on the SM-G550T1 model?
Will someone reupload the file for a better download link? Sammobile takes way to long
Really, the SM-G550T1/2 really needs Nougat at this point since it is only limited to the India model... I really like the new UI elements. Sad.
Or if someone is really good enough to make a Android Oreo Go edition custom ROM (since it really helps on storage) or a Lineage OS custom ROM. I wish i can make one but I'm not good at making ROM's.:crying:
Edit: I was thinking of installing that same rom OP described. Will it work for my T1? Someone needs to test this before i can proceed. Problem is i don't know if it will brick my phone because it was made for Indian devices running that version.
The current device i have is as follows:
Galaxy On5 SM-G550T1 (T-Mobile)
Currently on 6.0.1
Rooted with Magisk
OEM Unlock set to ON
TWRP
I dont know also, but do i need to have my phone network "unlocked" to switch official samsung roms? I prefer sticking to T-Mobile...
Edit #2: Tried installing that firmware file, it wont let me because of a locked bootloader. I used Odin (latest) but all i get is a "SECURE CHECK FAIL: (BOOTLOADER)" error.
^tl;dr, it wont install on a US variant.
