screen backlight won't turn off continously on CM11 xperia e3 d2203 - Sony Xperia E3

I flashed CM11 unofficial for my xperia e3 d2203 LTE and found that screen backlight continously on after locking device also brightness level won't change which is causing serious battery drain,
In settings under brightness tab I can check auto brightness and change values but nothing happens
I have flashed various kernels but no joy!! ?
Is it possible to fix this issue it draining my battery dramatically
Tried installing xposed framework as a module may help but get error won't hook into system!!

I think u flash your stock kernel over cm11 rom try falshing cm11 kernel

In build.prop what lines tell screen backlight to stay on?

Yes you are right!! After clean install with cm11 kernel everything works but I have flashed 4 custom kernels, and all have same problem is it possible that changing value in build.prop from 1 to 0 will resolve this issue?
Some of custom kernels have storage modds and I would like to benefit from them

How to used vengeance or thunderzap to Xperia L Clean 'n' Tweaked by serajr

This methods seems work for me so far
1.flash .36 firmware
2.since i'm using thunderzap kernel so i just flash that kernel.(didn't try with vengeance but i think its the same)
3.now in recovery mod just flash step no.7 without wipe everything(actually i've forgotten to follow those steps of what serajr mention)
4.reboot
5.it will changed your build from 36 to 17 and model no to C2104(if you're using stock C2105 before)
5.flash step no.11
6.reboot
7.flash modules .36 from Rachit Rawat for working wifi
8.there you have 17 firmware with overclock features same as working wifi.
bugs:
when using video the pictures turns darker or black
maybe becoz of bravia features..turn off>all ok
bugs with 17 even with stock
the time in status bar didn't sync
hopefully this method can be applied with the V2
checking
thanks for tutorials

[Q] Changing Kernel

Hey can any one tell me How Can i change a custom ROM's kernel using kernel from other Custom ROM's.....
Well for that, you will have to make sure that the other kernel
Supports this Rom..
If it is okay, just unzip the Rom using 7zip and then replace the boot.img with your new boot.img..
Or just flash the kernel via fastboot and then flash the Rom (remove the boot.img from it)
From recovery..
Thank me if I helped you...
So if i replace Boot.img from JJM34's CM10 To FXP's CM10 & kernel is compatible will The RIL/GSM will start working on FXP ROM...??
Got gsm/ril working on fxp rom yepppeee
edit- every thing working but not the home button..on Xperia E single...
Yeah...keep up your researches...

Can I ask if anyone tried putting a cm kernel in place of a stock kernel inside a ftf file and flash it with flashtools? And install the proper cm zip file in /system partion? I have an Xperia J with locked bootloader.
Any help would be appreciated as i googled and everyone says cm will only go on unlocked bootloader.
is the home button working???

If you want a CM kernel, first flash the stock ftf and then flash CM kernel using fastboot on UL BL.
But i dont think CM kernel is yet gsm stable for xperia J. If its stable please let me know!

Thx for replying, I seen the paranoid Rom ported for the J using cm10 my problem is that my bootloader is permanently locked so can't use fastboot I think, that's why I was thinking of merging the kernel into a ftf so can be flashed....
Sent from my ST26i using xda premium
I flashed CM 10.1 ROM on my XJ and also it has so much free RAM but the only problem is that it doesnt support any headphone! Amd i listen to Music all the time so it it dint work for me.. Plus thr stock camera app was not working... Though i solved the no gsm problem by flashing vengance kernel.

You can try Simple kernel
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-j-e/orig-development/j-simple-kernel-v1-4-t2422394
1.root ur phone
2.open build.prop using root explorer/es file explorer/etc
3.find "persist.audio.hp=true",change it to "persist.audio.hp=false"
this tweak will disable sound limitation/warning.
And you can use an equalizer/sound mod like AC!D and Viper4Android to boost the sound(needs root though)
Hope that helps.

Is there any tweak or script to make xperia e3 dual faster?

I'm on stock rom and hybrid kernel with init.d support. Anyone has tried and any tweak or script that could have worked for D2212 xperia e3? Xperia ui is becoming too sluggish. Cm11 is fast but wifi is not working and camera, though I can live without camera but not wifi. I tried nitrogen rom but that is too sluggish

CM 12.1 vs Z5 S.T.Y.L.E ?

Hey y'all !
I'm actually usng the Z5 S.T.Y.L.E ROM but it's getting boring .
I'm wondering , what is the best rom between CM12.1 and Z5 S.T.Y.L.E ?
I mean , about features , native (in-ROM , in the settings) customization , battery , weight , issues , performance ...
I'd be glad if anyone could answer me that .
Should i stick with Z5 S.T.Y.L.E , or change to CM12.1 ?
Is CM12.1 as boring or does it have more content ?
Thanks !
you can customize z5 style with xposed and other root programs, same to cm12.1. for battery and performance, less bugs; choose z5. if you want deeper customation, choose cm12.1. And remember; Z5 STYLE based on stock and i can say there are no bugs.good luck
Did z5 style work on m2 dual D2302?
Z5 style
Z5 style rom work on d2302. My favorite and Best rom. For D2302, you have to look at the Z5 Style issue
Stock/modified stock over cm anyday.
How to flash, can you give the link to download it? Thanks

I'm not sure, but I think that's because the zram. Try using kernel auditor and change the zram values.
