Never had this problem before on the previous versions. But I have now noticed that occasionally it would drop and disconnect for no apparent reason!

I'm assuming your stock unrooted? How did you update? ota? Fastboot? Does it do it for all WiFi or just one? You can try forgetting the network and reconnecting and make sure your WiFi connection is good. Is it doing it on any other devices? You can flash factory images and have a fresh install.
Think it's a Lollipop bug.

Hi,
I followed this thread and rooted my Xoom successfully
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241
Before I rooted I was on the 4G network, now I can't get on the 4g network. I cannot even get on the 3g network. I have Data enabled under mobile network settings and I activated my device.
Any ideas on how to connect again? Wifi works.
Is it possible I wiped the 4g upgrade off the xoom by rooting? thanks
Pull your sim with power on. It will give a msg, then put it back in and reboot. Make sure wifi is off too.

Hi thanks for the reply
I did this and didn't get any message. I pulled it and now rebooted it. Still no luck
edit: to make it more clear it says no internet connection but the signal fluctuates and it says i have 3.2.1 is that the problem? I think 4g+ is 3.2.2 but even my 3g isnt working
I fixed the problem
I tried using the 3G method to root it after it was unrooted because of the 4g method. That didn't work so I flashed the oem boot.img file. That was the 3.2.1 file when I was supposed to use the 3.2.2 one that Motorola just released about a week ago
I went back and used the oem boot.img file this time 3.2.2 and it worked.
Any clues? I have no idea whta happened...
Yesterday I flashed the 0.3 version, all doing good. Today I dirty flashed the 0.5.2 and was amazed by how good this rom is, the only one that accualy improved my phone.
Everything was working good, I sent SMSs (didn't call anyone, though) and then suddenly one SMS bounced back. Then the bars disappeared. Then I had no signal whatsover.
I thought maybe it was because of dirty flashing and installed everything from scratch. Same thing.
Then I restored to a a nandroid backup I had made a couple of days ago and the signal returned!
Then I flashed Jellyshot again and again no cigar! No signal...
Now I restored again and radio is working but I'd rather have a working 4.2 Jellyshot!
Any thoughts?
Thanks!
Are you sure you have a network provider selected? Try to go to wifi and mobile networks settings.
Else you can try to fix permissions in recovery mode

I didn't try to manually select the network because it has always been automatic... gonna give it a try, though.
thanks!

That did the trick!
sgooros, thanks a bunch, dude!
Actually, did not work. The provider is recognized but can't make calls or connect 3G ou send SMS... shoot!
Fixed permissions but no cigar...
Try the sim to another device. If you make sure that is not a sim problem then try a clean install of the ROM.Clean install I mean wipe data factory reset before installing ROM's zip.

The sim works on the same phone when I do a restore to a previous state I backed up 2 days ago. It's a CM 10.
And even doing a clean jelly shot install, it doesn't work. That's the tricky part.
Anyway... I managed to "fix" it by flashing jellyshot 0.3 then dirty flashing 0.5.2... still don't know what happened, though...
I'm using a nexus 5, running stock rom and Franco kernel. I've noticed that my phone just doesn't seem to find wifi networks. It automatically connects to few known networks, but when I try to connect to new networks, my phone refuses to find the network. I know the network is discoverable since my laptop and other devices connect to it. Is there anything I could do to prevent it from happening?? I tried wiping cache but nothing happened.

Try flashing the stock kernel (boot.img) in fastboot and see if it works then or reboot the modem/router first. If it does its probably a kernel issue. Have you looked in the Franco kernel thread if other users have the wifi issue too.
I tried using the stock kernel, the situation remained the same. Shall I re flash stock (factory reset) and try again??

Sure, you could try that
This morning, when starting my commute to work, I noticed that the S5 wasn't connecting to my BT car stereo. I checked the phone and BT was off. I tapped the icon and it did the slight dimming for a few seconds and then went back to the off state. I opened up BT settings and tapped the slider to turn it on, got the message "Turning on bluetooth", but again, after a few seconds, it returned to the off position.
I'm running the stock ROM, rooted with the hotspot mod, and the restart menu mod.
I tried restarting, powering off and removing battery and restarting, restarting and hitting the BT settings as quickly as possible, but it still will not work. Permissions on /system/vendor/lib/libbt-vendor.so are rw-r--r--, so I don't think it has anything to do with permissions.
I read a thread regarding a different phone and ROM having this problem and they fixed it by flashing a different kernel. Any ideas before I take this route?
EDIT: Just to be sure, I rebooted into recovery and ran fix permissions. No change.
Does anyone have the stock kernel that I can try to flash or Odin? Thought I might give this a try before going with a modded kernel.
Thanks
As much as I hated to do it, a factory reset fixed the problem. Still don't know what actually caused the problem.

Are you going to reflash the mods you were using to see if the problem was the same? Also, you might be able to just make a backup of your system/data/recovery and flash it over so you don't have to factory reset.

I tried the backup, but it brought the problem back as well. Not sure if it was something in the system or days our apps. Still need to do some forensics.
If you flashed off of an SD card, sometimes you can get subtle corruptions? I thought I saw something about it before..

The LTE is not staying connected on my phone. I had perfect connection to LTE before I upgraded to an Android 5.0 Rom. Now it connects when I first boot but after a few minutes it drops down to 3G and never reconnect. I have tried flashing 4.4.4 firmware. I have installed 4.4.4 RUU then did a factory reset. I even dropped down to 4.4.3 and factory reset and it still didn't work. Does anybody know how to fix the issue? Please help
Update:
This is happening when the phone is set to global mode. When I switch it to LTE only it does connect.

I think I am on the same boat. But I never flashed a 5.0 rom. I have been on 4.4.4 and it is acting up. Hope someone has a suggestion.
My LTE stays connected, but will timeout. One minute I get 20mb down, the next I get 3mb down, the next it times out. Is this a normal problem with the M8 in low signal areas? My Moto didn't have these problems.
