My tablet is an old Nextbook Next3:
Firmware Version: Android 2.1
Kernel Version: 2.6.25
Build Number: 1.3.23.ECLAIR.eng.root.20101208.141547
I'd like to get it to run the latest version of Android, ie Lollipop 5.1, API Level 22.
If someone has created an unoffical Custom ROM Lollipop that runs on a later
generation Nextbook, will it also work on the Next3?
The only forum entry I could find was dated Jul 2011:
NextBook Next2-Next3/Prestigio PMP3084B/Odys Genesis -Eclare, Froyo, Gingerbread
Gingerbread seemed to be highest at API Level 10 associated (un-offically) with Next3.
I saw some mention of Custom ROM IceCreamSandwich associated with a later
generation Nextbook . Does that Custom ROM ICS work on Next3. How do I
determine is it will or won't?
What keywords should I use in my search?
Thanx for your time and energy,
Karen Dickerson

Hi all,
i m trying to using Eclipse Helios for android application.
in my Eclipse Helios the minimum Android Build Target version is Android 1.5.
and according to my history of android version before the version Android 1.5(CupCake) three more versions are launched those are
1. Android Beta,
2. Android 1.0
3. Android 1.1
but in the build target there are not available.
so i want to ask these are not supported or any other reason.
please tell me What minimum version of Android Build Target supported by Eclipse Helios?
i m waiting for ur valuable suggestions.
thanks in advance.
eclipse helios (and by extension the androidsdk) starts at android 1.5
according to wikipedia there was only one device that had android 1 and 1.1 on it. (HTC Dream / G1) so it's safe to assume all other android phones have a newer version
This is my 1st post so I ask fotr a little lattitude.
I am also a newbie to the "phablet" arena.
I have a fantastic little device which I find so useful but would like to improve some of its efficiencies and this is where I need some help as I am not confident in seeing anything coming from Samsung or Telstra.
1. can the OS be upgraded to Android 4.1 or 4.2 ?
if it can - will I lose any functionality
if it can - what are the specific steps/procedures and software ?
2. can I remove the installed bloatware
3. can telephony be enabled in 3.2 or 4.1/4.2
Thank you.
Tablet Specs are:
=============
GT-P7320T
Android 3.2
Baseband Version P7320TDVLC2
Kernel Version 2.6.35.11 perf
Build Number master.DVLC1

I have an O+ 8.5 phone, a very unpopular phone because it only sells in the Philippines. I have the O+ 8.5 Ice Cream Sandwich Android phone. Here are some other info:
Rooted.
Android version: 4.0.4
Baseband version: MAUI.11.AMD.W11.50.SP.V17 at 2012/07/24 19:56
Kernel version: 3.0.12
Build number: ICS_00A0_V0_2_2
I don't know what recovery or ROM to use because there's no choice for my specific phone model. There are a lot of O+ 8.5 users in the Phil and this might help them, too. Please, if you could find a compatible ROM/recovery or the one used by a phone in the same case (of versions and features of the phone). Do you think some will work on my phone?
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I relate my experience with rooting, cwm(ing), cyanogenmod(ing) 10.1 on my Samsung Galaxy plus. Done on July 2013.
Why ? : Stock firmware 2.3.5 Gingerbread, No update nor upgrade were provided by Samsung/operator. I got free this smartphone on 2011, with a operator plan for 2 years. I didn't dare to tweak on it.
How ?: Mad enough, I start to read seriously every thread and feedback on upgrading android smartphone, wherever I could.
Well, the tasks are horrible ! bricking, stalled etc ...
Hopefully I found XDA-develpers.com.

With Angst, I installed CWM, Cyanogenmod 10.1 (4.2.2 Aries), gapps), with SUCCES (my very first) , such as
Band version: I9001XXG1
3.4.52-cyanogenmod-gbf83448 [email protected] #2
July 7 10:32.36 CEST 2013
ARMv7 Processor CPU rev2
Memory 352 MB (512MB stock)
Cyanogenmod 10.1-20130707-release4-ariesve
Build cm-ariesve-userdebug 4.2.2 JDQ39E
eng.christopher 20130707.1110 02 test-keys
A very good job from the dev.
Next, I installed framework and patch with dual Master key.
But the bluebox app still reporting danger. As far as I understand, framework is working in ram ... The protection is functionning like webroot antivirus and Rekey.
The biggest problem: getting root on the device ...
Hi! I have recently came across a Wiko Lenny 5 device, and I find it rather slow and full of bloat. I was doing extensive search on the forums to no avail. I would like to understand if there is a stable custom ROM I could use, and if so, how can I make it work.
I believe I have successfully rooted the device.
Android 8.1.0
Wiko Lenny 5 W_K400 (Dual-SIM)
Baseband version
MOLY.WR8.W1149.MD.WG.MP.V169,
2018/10/08 10:08
Kernel version:
3.18.79+ (gcc version 6.3.1 20170404 (Linaro Gcc 6.3-2017.05) )
Build number:
O11019 release-keys
Custom build version:
W_K400-V01.20.OPE.20-[Oreo-8.1]-GBL
Note: I'm relatively new to this. I had rooted and installed ROMs on several more popular devices using guides from this site before (bigup and thanks for your work!), but I have little to no idea what works how and why.
Any help/suggestion is appreciated
