Petition to all the community

EDIT. This post is an edition of the last post "Possible notification solution", which was a total failure. This post will begin in page number 6. I did this to not open a new thread, and to use last thread.
In the spanish forum, we are working hard to fix some basic bugs that still exist in our device. With the entrance of new kernel developers and with the help of all of us, we hope we will be able to fix those problems that exist since gb exists... This post is a request to all the xda-developers community involved (or not) in this device. With the work of the people who know about the subjet we will make this device a better android phone.
Some of the main bugs we found are basically two:
-Possibility of using videocall. In froyo, videocall used to work with the app Tango, but only in froyo, because the same app works, but with inverted image, with zoom and with a loud and strange noise, which makes the call impossible.
In addition, fring, oovoo, skype or gtalk offer a videocall that doesn't work, appearing a black screen. We could get a modified version of fring, which can help, because it solves the rotation screen problem. Skype has lots of mods in xda, and some of them worked, but finally used to fall down. What we want is someone to port a videocall mode to gtalk, or skype or something like this..
-Notification fix (totally failure until today for some users...)

This thread refers to wifi issue and changing wifi files and not phone files

KC1 works better than KB3 for most users.
I don't know if the modem file is the same in both versions but if not the same modem file, maybe can add the KC1 modem file to the ROM and try it.
What do you think about it?

http://www.multiupload.com/FV1SVAEQ9Y there is the MODEM_I9003XXKB3 file. I tested that in KPQ and doesn't work. We will be posting results.
Some people say KC1 MODEM is working better.. http://www.multiupload.com/G7VWDX0200 will test later.

Hi everyone. I think I have the key of everything... I just flashed my phone company original 2.2.1 MODEM file into KPQ and notification works after 30 min of screenoff mode!
In my case, this is Movistar Firmare XXKB1 MODEM http://www.mediafire.com/?w7804q45j2p0qr4
I dont know if this has anything to do with the company or just the froyo version. Hope this is helpful... By the way I have KPQ with working notifications!

Let me get this right... you are using xxkpq which apparently has still not fixed the notifications bug, you then flashed the attached file, xxkb1 modem file right? so everything is fine? how is it after prolonged testing? any side effects? I didn't know a froyo modem file could work on gb...

Yes, a guy did that on kpn with the kb3 modem and worked and I did the same with the kb1 on the new KPQ. Another guy was successful with the same modem in KPN.
The only think is that i came to the problem back right now.... will be testing today.

I am really looking forward to this solution.

For some people it works, for other it doesn't and for other, (like me) it did. Now I am not recieving notifications with offscreen mode again, but we will be testing...

do keep us posted! Will tune back in here for an update tomorrow, hope its positive!

now you can edit your OP with the procedures and Steps you done so many can test it also....

KPN with KB3 modem still works. Now I translate what he just said in the spanish forum:

4g works,but on a new reboot change automatic on 2/3g.
Go in the Dealer and go in the Hidden Menu (5457#*838#)and set Gsm/Wdcma/Lte or what you want,Lte works after.
Or delete Lteconfig.apk and Lteconfig.odex in System/app,after you have 2g/3g/4g in the normal Networksetting.
Your Phone must be root to delete this Files!
But the same Problem with reboot your Phone,after Reboot must manually set the Lte Option but in normal Menu
Ihope you understand me!

You can use xposed installer and G2 Tweaks,i think this have usefull Battery Icons and % Batterys.

I already have this thing instaled a long time agoo....but i dont fiind a batery icon with numbers inside....i fiind oane but the icon is smaller than network ikon ... and its not nice... i dont like...

@dutchdanny didn't quite understand about multi language. Can you please explain a bit. I mean on the stock keyboard I have English and downloaded French as I use that also, so I just switch between the 2. How will you're mod be different?

There are a lot languages missing in those aisian phones. For those who imported them, the can swith it to native languages.
And if people only have root, they have stock odex files.

I'll be working on Sense based roms, dunno what I would need to port.
Only thing I might build from source is a kernel.

Just have patience, also i think allot of owners are waiting for a new ROM like android 5.0 or 4.4.4. Multi language is already available in the current custom ROMs for the E8.
But nice 2 see someone working on customization on this phone.

This rom doesn't need Gapps to be installed
1 day normal testing and it looks ok , no problems at all.
camera is working normal

I used for one week
I used your version, quite light and without annoying or unnecessary apps, but there are some points that I have been using for more than a week:
1- does not save incoming or outgoing calls
2.- I have noticed that the mobile data is slower than with the original version.

No much a port of AOSP 7.1.1

I already put 7.1.1 from a neighboring branch in early February, but it was very raw, I had to go back to 6.0. There in the Settings even the search icon is incorrectly displayed)) And the battery had problems, in your builds they are solved? And why do not you then team up with other developers?)

I will try to fix the battery, maybe is an error of the system because are a lot of things in the system image, next build maybe have the fix (I don't know certainly)
(EDIT)Of course, today I will release one, but this takes a long time with unpacking, reviewing, fixing problems, repacking (this only image) and zipping the ROM signin it and later upload, is very time but I'm relaxed, I got very free time :silly:

A port of a build, if are a daily build I will try to give you a new port build with some bug fixes and modifications for the user satisfaction

Kernel source you use (as per GPL)?
Just download the rom to quick check the files, looks like you are using official UA Rom (which is pure AOSP already) as base without permissions.

Erreur 7 est très souvent du a un mauvais recovery.
Error 7 is mostly due to a wrong recovery...

J'ai vu sur un forum qu'il fallait twrp 3.0.3.
I saw in a thread twrp 3.0.3 is required to flash this rom

Sur les pages d'Andi tu trouves tout ça.
