I'm on stock, rooted 5.1. Don't want to flash custom ROM. Has any figured how to add 4-way reboot menu. There is a post that has files for previous build but I have run across 5.1 version. Thank you

Those are workarounds. I think that OP is looking for advanced power menu from pressing power button.
So answer is no. There isn't any working solution on 5.1 for now.

All in one gestures, you can press power button for advanced reboot. Works perfect.
Thank you

Agreed. Also too many permissions and accessibility needs for my taste.
I use an app called Material Power Menu and use gestures from Nova launcher to activate it. Double tap on the home screen brings up the power menu, and it fits in with Lollipop. Doesn't feel like a workaround for me, and you only need root i think.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.naman14.powermenu
To add it as a gesture shortcut, go to your launchers gesture settings, select the gesture you want to use and scroll to shortcuts (not apps, that will open the settings of the Power Menu). Just select Power Menu in the list and there you go, advanced material power menu on stock Lollipop. Again, it's a workaround but it doesn't look/feel like one.
try Xposed & module APM+
I'm using marians suggestion. Works great. You skinflints do need to pay for nova prime !) The beta 27 material nova is superb. All bugs are now gone. Just wish it had a color choice..That red....

This material power menu seems to be a great addition when using with Nova prime..
For some reason I cannot add a gesture for this. When navigating to gestures> shortcuts>power menu within nova settings, I get this screen (please see attached or within post, not sure how the picture gets attached) it only allows me to use the power menu, however does not set the gesture... Any suggestions?

Hi guys,
I want to share my application called GoHome which should help to use Galaxy Note on the go.
I've wrote and shared this application not for the money. It helps me to hold Galaxy Note with one hand and use it with comfort.
This application duplicates menu, home, back navigation buttons.
If you on the go it's better to swipe on the top than try to press Home button by thumb.
This is a beta version (design is not ready for preferences).
It has been verified on CM9 (some functionality will not work for GB (back, menu), I'm working on it)
I'll upload it into market soon.
Application itself is completely invisible. Preferences show four color areas where you should pull.
Preferences screen and howto:

What does it do? The pictures aren't loading....
Sorry for picture. I've fixed url.
It duplicates home, back, menu buttons. But all this is on the top of screen. It helps you to avoid pressing to physical home button which is hard to press on the go (with one hand)
for gb its okay but for ics?? navigation bar has the same options??

Yep, it was written for ics. Unfortunately my Galaxy Note is a single recorder what I have. I'll shoot video asap.

Dude you forgot one thing.
ICS doesn't need the Home button to be held down. Just hit the "Tasks" button, voila!
Its faster than yours.
Anyways thanks for this, it should be useful.
Especially for those that swap out the "Tasks" button for the Menu button.
But now on most custom roms (eg AOKP) you can customize the Nav-buttons and give them gestures: eg swipe up on Menu button to launch "Tasks" list.
Hey, before the ota rolled out I used the phone for 2 minutes, and at that time w when I pushed the left/menu button the launcher settings popped up. But there was also the settings button. So I could enter settings (like WiFi. Users....) But after that update the button disappeared and changed with the designs button.
Is there any way to get the settings button back there?
Because the upper right corner is so far away for my thumb
Another question: can I get the "," on the keyboard instead of voice??
Thanks in advance !

Go into settings->buttons and there's options to set what the menu button will do. You can set the short press to menu and then long press to recent apps which was the default before the OTA.

I see what you mean. It's the same for me. Looks like they got rid of the settings options from that menu. I switched to nova launcher and didn't notice the changes to the stock one after the update. I can only suggest that you download a new launcher.
Title says it all... I tried to do modifications in build prop and some apps from play store but nothing is working.

Maybe you have an app that controls screen dimming such as lux or similar. These apps put an overlay on the screen that as a security feature android blocks you pressing things like install or OK. New version of lux fixed that I thought though... Maybe you have some other app that alters screen display
Download any apk to sdcard and try to install via file manager to test.

Latest lux? Thought I read that latest doesn't have this issue. Or maybe only on "install" button.

No. Its called a launcher as it can launch apps via pie or gestures, however it sits on top of nova. I use nova too...for the homescreen

Any solution to easy turn off the brightness and the soft keys to? Need to times to times check my phone in work but i want to my boss dont notice that
I'm referring to the physical button to the left of the home button. I hardly ever use the recent button, but definitely use the menu button. For example, if I want to access settings for Nova launcher, I now have to navigate to the setting vs just tapping "menu".
Set a gesture in Nova to launch Nova settings. That's the easiest way.

Nope. No option to add "menu" button in Nova either. Even more frustrating with Nova, the expand notifications feature doesn't seem to work with gestures. My favorite feature of Nova is the ability to swipe down from anywhere and get to notifications. No longer possible on s6.....yet.
I have no idea what you're referring to. Both definitely work lol. Look below swipe down for expand in options.
I also definitely have a swipe up gesture on the app drawer to launch Nova settings with just a swipe.

I enabled that feature. swiped down, nothing. Then I decided to try double tap from anywhere to access notification; also nothing. If it's working for you, then maybe I have a bad version. Maybe you can check your version? I'm on v 5.0.2
I'm running the beta version actually from the Google plus community. Maybe that's why. Give it a try.

Hello,
I have a small problem. My phone power button is damaged therfore pressing it is hard (works but poorly).
I need now to re-mail the power button so i can turn off screen when i need.
Can you recommend app that can do that.
I did get app named as volume powr but it seems buggy and app named buttons re-mapper seems to be also buggy.
Use Nova Launcher. It is the best Launcher out there (even better than the stock ones) and you can turn off screen by a gesture of your choice (e.g. double tap on homescreen).

Some ROMs allow eg double tap on the status bar to switch off. BatMan/SuperMan do that.
Button Mapper does exactly what you need - like you I had some issues with it, related to its occasionally not working. This was due to it being dozed by the OS (need to stop it being optimised) and by Greenify (again, exclude it). There is a Button Mapper thread in Apps & Games here in XDA, check it out. You'll get a lot of support there, the dev visits regularly.
What is your Android version and number?
