Hey everyone,
I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything in the Z3 forum. I just got the Z3 today and found that my standard apple earbuds with mic do not work with the Z3. The sound is fine, but the mic does not work. Is this a common compatibility issue? Thanks!

Hello Everybody
Just got my T-Mobile G2X off eBay yesterday.
Fortunately the mobile phone appears to not have any software related issues.
I heard that, T-Mobile G2X has stereo speakers.
One of the rare feature not present in most of the mobile phones these days.
But, as of my thorough inspection, sound is coming from only one speaker.
Not from both, Is there any equalizer to change the speaker configuration ?
Or, would it be a hardware problem ?
Please suggest, i really wanted to hear sound from both of the speakers.
It doesnt have stereo speakers unfortunately. One speaker and the other is a microphone.

I read in the following reviews that the Mobile phone to have stereo speakers.
http://techcrunch.com/2011/04/20/review-t-mobile-g2x-optimus-2x/
http://www.laptopmag.com/review/cellphones/lg-g2x-t-mobile.aspx

Are you sure ??
Those were stupid reviewers who assumed they were two speakers when they saw two grills. One is a speaker and the other is the microphone. One speaker, no stereo unless you use a headset or audio output into a speaker, etc.
Who can tell me is there any 3.5mm headset works well on the nexus s?
I find many 3.5mm headset with the microphone does not work well on android phone(only music is playing, but the control doesn't work well),because they are produced 4 iphone...and only 4 iphone....

Hi there,
I can tell you that the 3.5 mm jack works well (I've got a pair of Monster Turbines (without the controls on them) and for music at least, everything works GREAT) and the sound chip is better that anything I've ever heard on a phone. I've got a I9023 Nexus S too and besides the Turbines I also tried 2 other pairs of headsets, a Motorola Rokr E8 headset and a SonyErricson Xperia Headset and the microphone and controls worked well.
If your thinking of buying the JAMZ to use them as a phone HEADSET... DON'T !!! Don't ruin a perfect pair of headphones by using them as an phone headset... Before getting my Turbines I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I decided that this type of headphones are like a good wine: you need to savor them with the sound that they were meant for: MUSIC !!! If you need to answer the phone, take the phone out of your pocket, take the headphones out and answer the phone !
Hope this helps...
Thank you!I think about what you said and decide to give up on finding another headset for my Nexus S. I've got a Ipod classic and Bose in ear. The couple is so enough for me.
Thank you 4 your advise.
Hi, after examining some reviews and comparisons of Z3, I liked and plan to buy it. I wonder is it fully compatible with remote&mic headsets for iPhone.
Please share if you've ever tried a headset (with remote&mic built for iPhone) with Z3. I appreciate the responses in advance, thanks.
If you just want a play/pause control on your remote, iPhone headphones should be fine. The volume control gets a little harder to find.
Some people have said the Xiaomi Piston headphones work for 3 buttons; haven`t tried them myself. If you are looking for extra detail, I did some research and testing on headphones I had around (including old iPod ones) here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/accessories/modifying-headphones-inline-3-button-t3042195
IME, Play/Pause and sound all work. Volume does not.
The weird thing (for me at least) was the iPhone headphones would create a terrible high-pitched tone for anything requiring the mic. This included phone calls, audio and video recordings.

I dunno what the deal was, maybe it was just my headphones as they were a couple years old and well used. Probably a bad connection. I bought a $20 set of in-ear w/ mic Sony headphones at my local convenience store and all is well.
Hi everyone
This is my very first post to XDA.
Hope my query comes through correctly and is of help to others as well.
Well, for the last couple of months I have been trying to figure out which bluetooth headset from Sony (SBH52 AND MW1) is better over the other in terms of-
1)Sound ie, after reading a lot I have known that the MW1 packs a Wolfson Dac but just could not figure out if it's the same or better on the SBH52?
2)Are the live Sound ear buds MH1A on the MW1 any better than the Mh755 in terms of the audio quality?
Is it possible that the Mh755 have been improved over the years?
This is because the whole SBH52 family of headsets have them instead of the live Sound ear buds.
3)And lastly the SBH52 being newer in comparison to the MW1 have any technical advantage in terms of the usability over the MW1.
And has anyone tried to couple the live Sound ear buds with the SBH52 and experienced the overall improvement or degradation in the sound?
Because I have the live Sound ear buds and would like to buy the SBH52 and use it with them.
I know a lot to ask but it'll really be a great help if you can help.
Thanks

I notice that the Z3+ / Z4 did not come with any bundled headphones. What are the chances of the Z5 premium coming with headphones? If not can you use any Sony headphones to utilise the noise cancellation?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00HX9AJ5M works with all the current ones with built in noise cancellation, so would imagine they would work with the Z5 too. The listing on all the Z5 versions on clove.co.uk don't have any headphones listed as being included in box, so I would suspect there isn't going to be.
Does the Z5 actually state it has noise cancellation for the earphones, I've only seen it mentioned for the mic

No headset with Z5 Premium
Hi all. I just purchased a Z5 Premium and there was no headset or quick charger including..... Really really poor choice for Sony not to include headset and the quick charger. I'm going to contact Sony today abd complain about it. It can't be right that I almost paid 1200$ for the phone and then no headset. They could at least include a headset with a phone that expensive.
Got my z5 dual with headphones, quick charger and sony flip case. I am from India...may be offer is available for certain regions..
For the regular Z5 there was nothing else than the normal charger itself... however there is a dedicated space in the box for headphones nothing was there in Poland... Official Sony distribution
Ehh, it is wrong way of selling premium devices...
mine came with headphones, it came from Taiwan though
Mh750- headphones.
UCH10- quick charger.
Along with Sony flip case-SCR42
