Is there a way to dim the flashlight to record video at night? When I am outside and want to record something the flash is so bright, it almost blinds people. I was wondering or hoping there was a way to dim the light when recording video at night.

Hello,
does anyone know if it's possible to turn on the Omnia light when filming video at night? It films very badly when there's no external light and unlike the still camera, there's no apparent light option, although the phone has this flashlight.
Thanks,
David
Is it possible to have the camera app on video recorder mode continue recording even with the screen off? I just got a nexus one, switch from an iPhone which could do this via cycorder. Sometimes I'll record videos which are over two hours long but the screen being on it kills the battery really fast.
Is there any way I can solve this?
Hi,
I have been getting these black rolling lines moving upwards when i am recording videos using my Galaxy R in fluorescent light. The lines make the video very annoying to watch. The videos are clear outdoor in day light but the problem shows up in fluorescent lights. The video is recorded at 30.25 FPS. I read it has to do with flickering rate of fluorescent light etc. If that was the reason for it , is there any way to record at lesser FPS like 28 or 29. Does anybody else face the problem with camera?
Yes,that is definitely the reason. Check this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17791551&postcount=20 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271927 ,hope it can help..

Dude looks like all this work needs rooting and modding.Isn't there an app which can control these settings while recording / help record in low FPS.
One thing that has really pissed me off forever, is when people post videos on YouTube or wherever, but which were recorded incorrectly. By "incorrectly" I mean in portrait. Nothing looks worse than watching a narrow ass video with two fat black bars on either side of it, wasting space, and wasting my time watching a crappy video that would have been cool if the person recording the damn thing just turned their phone 90 degrees...
What I propose is a MOD to the camera app which includes a toggled feature to record videos in landscape, regardless of the device orientation. In other words, while the feature is toggled on, even if the user is holding the camera in a portrait position, the video being recorded will still be in landscape.
By doing this, users can still benefit from the comfort of holding their devices in portrait (because it IS easier to hold that way, especially when you're going one-handed), while recording videos which will show up properly during playback in landscape.
Thoughts?

I have a problem with my phone galaxy core gt-i8262 ever since i bought. It records a video with a darker output compared to others even if the flash is on. Settings are set to best output. This only happen when i record at a bit darker place actually in evening this happens but when the area is bright the video recordings are fine. Is there a way to make the video recording brighter?
nothing to do with it.. n obviously it does in every camera during evening .. if ur using (stock) one.
> try to increase exposure of it.. in camera setting..n brightness.
or use any third party app. :good:
