Magicsim Dual Sim Card Adapter - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

The Magicsim Dual Sim Card adapter may not work with the Note 4.
It seems to be because of the way the Note 4 boots up and looks for the sim card. The dual sim adapter takes a few seconds longer than a single sim to initialize and load, which seems to be too long the OS is willling to wait. With the device installed you will be prompted with a sim card detection error and an only option to restart. It's a dialog box you cannot remove or get past. It shows up a few seconds after boot. The phone will still continue to load and you will eventually see the dual sim toolkit in the apps menu (if you load it before restart prompt appears) but you still have no choice to restart. Rebooting the phone in airplane mode will allow the phone to boot all the way, but once you turn it off the same forced restart prompt appears.
I verified the adapter works by testing it on a Note 2 with Cyanogenmod and it functions perfectly.
The Note 4 is the 910C with Android 4.4.4, stock firmware, not rooted.
The packaging of the adapter suggests it is for the Note 4.

I can confirm, the Magicsim Dual Sim Card adapter works perfect with Note 4 (5.01 Lollypop)...

My magicsim works only for 2 months. After that it was defect.

Yep works perfectly on my Note 4, got the one from www.magic-sim.com specifically for the Note 4, comes with a 1 year warranty i believe

On eBay, I remember, I saw there were some dual sim adapters that you could simultaneously have call/text on one and data on another... but I can't find now. Any body have seen this? All I see are Dual Standby dual sim adapters, which doesn't do for me... and I don't really like the idea of Gmate Plus.

I tried my magicsim but it only detects the first sim, whenever I try the change sim via the menu, the phone boots ...

Dual sim adapter problem

I have a problem with my dual sim adapter Magicsim Elite. If I want to use the second sim I have to restart the phone. First sim works without restart. What should I do? Flight mode makes no difference.
My phone is Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 (not rooted).
I have the same thing. However I don't have Magic SIM but some other brand. Switching works but phone needs to be restarted to complete the switch between SIM cards.

[Q] Data/Signal Cuts In/Out

I just got this phone today unlocked from tmobile and inserted my custom-cut nano sim into the nano to micro adapter and inserted it into the phone. Everything was fine for a while but i started noticing my data and signal was cutting in and out by itself when the screen was off maybe for 3 minutes or longer. This is a significant problem as you can imagine. I checked every single setting i could and nothing would make it do so. Any advice or suggestions? Im using a straight talk att micro sim card that i had cut down to fit my i5S but came back to android and used a noosy sim adapter. Maybe its the fact that the card is custom cut (so it already doesnt fit the adapter like its supposed to)? I really need help here. Yes i have the proper apn settings and im fully stock.

Nexus 5 Sim/Radio Issues

Two months ago my Nexus 5 would start randomly losing signal or say that there was no sim card inserted. After a few reboots it would recognize the sim and let me use it normally, but when the device gets turned off and turned back on again there would be no signal.
More recently my Nexus 5 just says no sim card inserted but when reinserted it gets detected with no signal. Is there anyway i can fix this issue as i got signal yesterday but sadly restarted my phone because of a graphical issue and i lost the signal again. I have also done a factor reset and re-flashed android. Any help would be useful!
(Yes i have tried other sims and same problems)
Current Network: iD
Other Networks Tried: O2,Orange,T-Mobile.
Since the phone behaves the same way with different SIM cards, it could be a hardware failure with the SIM card reader.

Click to collapse
But sometimes it will detect the sim and give me a signal and if i restart the phone it will not detect it again. If it was something wrong with the sim reader wouldn't it just not work at all?
Not necessarily because it should always detect the presence of a SIM card, active or not.
Most likely, there's a bad solder joint somewhere, it would work after a few restarts because the metal would expand as the phone heated up and make contact again. You could try to bake the logic board, might fix it. But, realistically, it's a long shot.

Tab 2 "No SIM"

So, I picked up a cheap Tab 2 3g 7". Everything seems to work fine other than it refuses to understand sim cards!
When I put a sim in with it on, it does the "you must restart", but after a restart it still says no sim. Take the sim out, it tells me to restart...
I discovered if I just push a sim adapter in the slot it does the same, I think there's a microswitch that just tells the thing whether or not there's something physically in the slot.
Tried with three different sims, all working in my phone.
I was wondering - This tablet takes the old mini sim. Although the active pins seem to be the same between those and nano, could the Samsung be looking for continuity or something between the usually unused pins? Or perhaps some other electrical compatibility issue? The tablet's in pretty good condition, the slot feels fine, so I don't want to just assume this is a hardware issue.
