I have a Kyocera Rise with ICS 4.0.4 and it is rooted. This morning I performed the most recent of many factory resets, I have been trying to fix constant force closures, ANRs, crashes and self reboots. This has been going on for weeks. I have looked everywhere for answers and tried all suggestions I have found to no avail at all. I am at my wits end with this. Some of what I have tried include soft resets, factory resets, uninstalls of almost all apps, updates, checking logcat, reinstall Google Play Services, and etc. Oh and immediately after the factory reset this morning I got the error that Setup Wizard has stopped followed by settings has stopped. Since then Google Play Store has stopped and settings again then YouTube which I have not touched. I would so love some help please, thank you...
Okay another has popped up. It started this morning and I have absolutely no idea how it is even possible, but my phone has started downloading apps on its own I dontt realize it until notification from link2sd says it has linked so and so app... What in the world could cause this to happen???

I have been using my XT926 for some months in the UK now and have to say its a brilliant phone. Since yesterday however i have been unable to sync anything related to google (gmail, contacts, etc). I had rooted a little over a week ago so thinking something had gone wrong i performed a factory reset. The reset went fine and the phone booted up to a stock state but when it came to adding my google account i got the error "cant establish a reliable connection to the server...". At first i figured this must be a connection issue but after loading up the web browser i'm able to load all sites including google web mail so my connection is perfectly fine. I then got hold of my galaxy tab 2 and checked my google sync status on there - it was working fine. I'm now sat here with a phone that has no google services and i'm wondering what has gone wrong ? I've searched online and many have similar problems where clearing the cache or factory resetting has solved it but in my case this hasnt helped. Any ideas ?
checked this thread already, I assume!?

Hi Stefan, I hadnt seen that thread prior to you linking it so havent tried the solution. I'll re-root my device and give it a go but after factory resetting i'm sceptical to this working. Something would appear to be seriously wrong with my phone.
Hi Stefan,
Just wanted to say thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Rooted, deleted hosts file and all is working again. I guess the factory reset didnt restore the hosts file from when i previously rooted. I'm just happy to have this amazing phone back working again !
Great to hear I could help. thanks for the feedback - that's why I like this community. Have fun!

I installed AirDroid last night and it was working great. However, all day today I've been having issues with Play Store and general data connectivity issues. Downloads in Play Store will start but hang. Cleared data, cache and reboots multiple times. I've tried everything I can think of and Google, but nothing seems to work.
Anyone else experienced similar issues?
Thanks!
Ran out of ideas and had to factory reset. All working fine again. Wondered what went wrong!
Hey, I am working in AirDroid team now. If this problem happens again, please tell me and we will find a solutions for you.
And we are having our own forum in XDA now! http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/airdroid It's new and we are preparing for forum guide now. You can post threads about AirDroid there and we will reply soon.
I am having a constant window that says "weather has stopped" The message comes so frequently and quickly that I am unable to do anything literally. I'm told it's a cache issue and I need to stop the app. I can't find the app listed in Running Apps, and if I could I couldn't do anything about it. How can I stop the app or cure my problem. My phone is totally useless it is a working bricked phone. All help and suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
Didn't you already asked this in another thread? Maybe you need to do a factory reset.
Good evening guys.
I needs ya'll help. I honestly dont know what to try next. I have an LG G2 Sprint on Android 4.4.2 Rooted. A few days ago I was messing with Titanuim backup and I accidentally converted "Google calendar sync" and Google Contact sync into user apps. Thats when the issues began to happen. Since then, my google play store force closes every single time. I've read many articles about its just simply about clearing cache, etc.. But nothing has worked so far. I've tried every single option but no luck. And heres the worst part... I just performed a factory reset on my phone, and STILL DOES NOT WORK! It first crashes right after you begin downloading any app, and after that it will force close as soon as you try to open up the play store.
I am at a dead end. I dont know what to do. I will really apreciate some help in trying to find the solution for this issue.
Thank you guys
Hey guys, I have been having a problem with my google play store for quite some time now. I can't remember exactly when this problem started occurring, but for some reason whenever I wan't to DOWNLOAD or UPDATE my existing apps on my phone (Huawei P10), it would just get stuck at the "Downloading" status without even displaying any file size of the app/app update. This basically prevents me from downloading any app from the app store, or even updating my apps as well.
I have tried deleting cache and data from the google play store and the services as well, but still it did not solve the problem.
The only way I can work around this issue is to restart my phone, download/update my apps and I am good to go, for a while. At some point in time when I wan't to check back on new apps to download or update, I end up getting the same issue AGAIN and I don't know why this happens.
Does anyone here have the same problem as me? Or is it because of some app I installed a long time ago... I really have no idea why something like this would happen. I don't want to always restart my phone only to end up having the same problem again after awhile...
I thought about factory resetting my phone but the hassle of having to return everything to what it was is just too troublesome for me...
I hope someone has a solution for this, I can't seem to find any by searching google that works for me...
Thank you!
