I have a sprint Galaxy S5 with sprint and it is unlocked via UICC, what do i do from here? I'm trying to switch to prepaid Boost Mobile, The sim is entered and I have LTE / CDMA network, from boost mobile, but my problem is, is that i cannot change my APN, please help me find out how to change this, Thank you for your help!

Update!
Here is my Modem with the UICC unlock and the EFS, hope these files help out the community!

EFS, in attachments!
P.S Please help me with my mentioned question!

to change your apn try ##3282# then View-> APN Settings

Thanks for that but, unfortunately i figured out that it is not changeable, I guess due to stock APN, now what i need is a guide on how to flash my phone to boost mobile, I recently seen on the forums forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060085 this thread, is there a way i can follow this thread? or someone remotely flash for me , (not sure how that will work) Thanks for the info!

unlock boost Mobile galexy s5
I am a boost Mobile customer, I likat I get for how cheep I get it for.
I want to root y boost Mobile galexy s5, I know unlocking it is the first step. But what if you don't want to change carriers, do I still need to unlock the phone to root it, do I need to go buy a sim from a different carrier to unlock the phone just so I can just turn around and put the boost Mobile sim back in.
Cant find any info on the situation I'm in. Any help would be grate.

My sister just got a sprint s5 and wanted to use it when she travels to Europe. Did this actually work for anyone? If not, is there another way?

If you have a sprint phone and would like to use it for boost mobile all u have to do is call boost customer service and tell them that you need to have the phone rescued. From there they will ask u for the meid number and all done. I have done this several times with my phones. I have sone this with numerous galaxy s3 and now currently my phone i have now which is a s5.

[Q] Verizon S3 using AT&T Sim Card

Hey guys, I ran into a bit of a problem:
I rooted a Verizon S3 that my friend gave to me, sadly, I'm on AT&T. What I did was root the phone, change the APN settings to what "att" should be, and for some reason it doesn't work! I tried to change the settings on the Network from LTE to GSM then GSM to Global and nothing works. :\
I checked if the IMEI was blacklisted, knowing that this was my friend, I had to make sure, and good enough, it isn't blacklisted.
So, to cover this all up, I have a Verizon S3 I-535 that's root and trying to set up a signal for AT&T so I can use it, as long as I have calls/texting, I'm good with it. Thanks so much for any help received in this thread!

First of all i am certainly no expert but this might help. From the way i understand it the sim is for LTE and you would have voice and 3G if no sim existed. When you unlocked it
you allowed the phone to go international. How ever if the sim card that is in the phone is a US sim it will not work out side US. Since you said that you are in Venezuela right now
and did not say where you purchased the phone can i assume that you might have a US sim in it. That being said pull the sim out and see if the phone will now give you 3G.
If it does then get a new sim from where you are.
it wouldnt be cdma at all, just gsm, and your data issue is likely all due to the APN settings. Sounds like youre international unlocked, which is good, but your apn settings are likely messed up. I see that you are rooted, but are you on the stock ROM?
still no solution for DATA on gsm device

rooted sprint samsung galaxy s3 phone??

hi i have a samsung galaxy s3 from sprint, rooted. My question is where/how do i find the "network & mobile network state" folder or file? the reason is cuz i would like to connect the phone to a prepaid or other carrier and i think deleting those files will allow me to do so, (PLEASE correct me if wrong)....
OR better question is how can i get the phone connected on a different carrier?
Can i or do i have to erase, change or clear any of the following; MEID, DEC, HEX#'s or IMEI & ICCID to do so? I Rooted the phone with a custom ROM (CM). Some say sprint will give me a certain number but my service was cut yrs ago so i doubt they would help being that i owe them $.. and is rooting same as unlocking?
THANK YOU

im not going to be of much help with most of that but,
you defiantly dont want to remove the imei or related items, or the phone wont work on any carrier.
if this is the phone you were using when you stopped paying them, it may be blacklisted, and wont work on any carrier.
best option would be to browse the s3 forums and see how others are switching carriers.
some phones its as simple as changing the sim, others require more steps such as carrier unlocking and possibly more depending on the situation. and in some instances you cant change to the carrier you want because the phone doesnt support the necessary bands.

Sprint galaxy s5 SMG900P

Hello once again. I received 2 sprint s5's from my mom when she upgraded to S6's. I called straightalk asked if I could activate, no, called sprint prepaid, no!! I currently habe straightalk, and am willing to change to sprint amd get a contract, However I have sketchy service at my house, and really wanna test it out first. My question is whoop can activate these phones here in the SE US. Boost? Virgin mobile? I'm fairly granular with flashing and stuff and can read and follow directions. I do see a SIM unlock for non USA mostly, but would try it if all else fails. Right new the phone are factory reset on 5.0 lollipop. I can do what ever needed to get them SIM unlocked so I can activate for another service or just provide me with another provider that will activate. Amy help appreciated.

Youll have to pay for domestic gsm sim unlock, then adjust your apn to new carrier for data. Idoneapps unlocks these phones.
Sooooo
Ok thanks. So if its sim unlocked, and apn adjusted, I just pop sim in and I should be good. Even ifstraightalk tells me I can't use this phone?

Correct.
P.s. you also may have to enable some bands, depending on what carrier also.there are tutorials on that.
You can activate Sprint phones on Ting very inexpensively. Ting uses the Sprint network with CDMA phones.
Ting will check with Sprint to be sure the phones are out of contract and no balance owed.
S5 sm900g wifi popup
Thanks for the replies guys. Ting users CDMA? Mine is GSM, i found the threads about unlocking it. Hopefully i can get it. And one more question, i am constantly getting a pip up saying turning WiFi on will disable Hotspot. Ive done a hard reset, and back on official 5.0 lollipop. Not rooted yet but reading up on it before starting. This S5 lollipop is a bit diff from S3 KK. Thanks for any help or tips.
Sprint has a 14 day trial period. I was running around with 2 phones testing out sprint when I first got it.
