I've been looking everywhere to see how to find a custom cpu governor for my kernel. I just can't find them. Please help.
Try No Frill CPU or Trickster Mod from the play store to see the possible options that are available for the installed kernel.

No, I'm trying to make my own kernel, I have the build environment set, but I'm asking how to add CPU governors.
Sent from my XT1032
Maybe you could build your kernel and install No Frills or Trickster to see what governors are available?
Not sure if this will work as I am not an advanced user or modder.

I already know what governors are already there, I used the stock cyanogen mod source.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can help as you are a much more advanced user than me.

S2w and d2w doesn't work for at&t stock sense 5.5. Everything else works fine like the governors. When will you add overclock and other features? And thank you so much for releasing a sense kernel!!!!
@cmvienneau - can you add DoubleTap2Wake?
"abzboi" said that is it is not working.
Anyway, many thanks for this - KERNEL is great .
Thanks.

Hello everyone, I'm looking a custom rom (android version 5.x) which has a stock rom design and it focused on battery life. What is your suggestions from your experience?
Thank you
Roms have no effect on battery life. what you are searching for is a custom kernel. try franco's.

you can set a lower max cpu frequency to save a bit more power, if that's your priority.

It disables the little cores and only enables them when the big cores become overloaded. On stock rom it gives extra smoothness because it use the big cores most of the time.In cm roms its enabled by default. Sorry, i forgot to explain
Great work mate. Could you please explain that init.d stuff a little - I'm on stock rom/kernel and haven't got init.d folder so I assumed it's simply not supported, but when I played with the rom in Superr's Kitchen it was saying that init.d is enebled in the kernel by default. It's a bit confusing - does the stock rom have this support by default?
@Sickaxis79
I just found there's no cluster_plug in my /sys/module...

You can create the init.d folder using a file browser if its missing. Im also using stock rom and it works. Im using a custom kernel, but it also works with stock kernel.
Are you sure you are missing the cluster_plug folder? Im using stock eu 6.0.1.
Its located in /sys/module/cluster_plug

I found Kernel Adiutor can emulate init.d, so it should't be a problem to execute the scripts, but anyway cluster_plug is missing. I'm on XDRom which is just debloated EU 6.0.1. I'm wondering if it's possible that debloat could actually be responsible for this

That could actually be the case as clusterplug is listed in Squid's kernel features. I guess it means it's not used in stock one

Sure, but then i saw phoenix kernel released a new msm hotplug kernel and was thinking to try to create 1 script that is compatible and work with cluster- /msm- or no hotplug at all together, instead of several scripts. Dont know if it gonna work but it can never hurt trying.

Perhaps you could use this tool to enable init.d on stock kernel - http://forum.xda-developers.com/and...ript-zip-init-d-enabler-stock-kernel-t3347724
you still need custom recovery though, to flash the zip

If you're already building from source, depending on what kernel sources you're using, you can use this commit to enable OC.
Hi I tried to install it but wrote to me that I have the latest TWRP error right at the beginning
Please write me a detailed explanation of how open source?

I suggest you install Slim6 by Andi on your tab. It's by far the fastest rom (you cannot oc it and there is no need for it). Link: https://slimroms.org/#/device/espressowifi

no, you can't overclock every tab the same way. Every cpu is different, if your tab reboots that means your cpu cant handle this frequency, try lower one.

Not entirely sure if you have voltage settings to mess with, but I'd personally start from there.
