Greetings ROM Developers!
As many (Disapointed) users i too have a i9003 wich cannot get signal to make phone calls / Detect SIM Card.
Therefore i hereby came here asking for help.
I'm constatly getting errors due to CSC issues / no Signal ("Cannot Connect to Network) etc.
I'm probably not the only one.
With all this said Is it possible for someone to develop a ROM without the "SIM" parts? (Like: a Port from a Tablet ROM)
Can anyone be able to accomplish this?
Update Tips (If possible and if it is helpfull):
- No Kies
- Gapps Side Flash (Since the Bloatware is Useless)
- Deodexed Rom
- Rom Name: "i9003 No Signal Rom"
I believe it would be a nice idea for people that ended with a brick in their hands.
Thanks in advance.
Best Personal Regards;

Hello everyone,
I am new to the joys and frustrations of the Window Mobile world so please forgive my ignorance as I am a very new user. I live in Japan and just picked up the new NTT HT-01A (http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1564) and would like to flash it with a custom ROM to help improve performance and also have everything in English but I have a few questions that I hope someone can help me with.
1/ Can someone please point me to a resource/how-to guide on creating a ROM? I would like to take a ROM image of the current NTT setup before I do anything to the device. I used spb Backup but am not sure of that is the same thing as creating a ROM. I will be more than happy to post the base NTT WM6.1 ROM on the Wiki page or share it with anyone that wants to look at it.
2/ NTT DoCoMo has a dialer called Mopera U that is used for Push mail and the devices uses to connect to the Internet. After I flash the device with a custom ROM, will I need to install this application in order to access the Internet? If so, is there a way to get that application with all the settings off the current ROM?
Thank you in advance for your help. I am looking forward to enjoying my new device to its fullest with a custom ROM.
Hey there folks!
this is my fisrt post on the forum so here goes.
I've got my first android phone a couple of weeks ago and since then I did the S-OFF and rooted it. I read the boards here, i maneged to get new roms on it without any problems and I am very happy with the performance of the phone now.
The only thing is that I can not get 3G data connectivity only EDGE.
I live in a place that always has 3G and it seems a little odd.
If anyone has encoutered this problem please let me know if and how to resolve it.
Thanks.
Phone: HTC Desire S S-OFF
Radio: 20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M
Kernel: 2.6.35.13-Tiamat_Saga-v1.0.4+
ROM: CyanogenMod-7.1.0-RC1-IncS
Have you tried with another ROM? ZuluGen or the inofficial nighthly? These are not ports from Inc S, but made directly from Cyanogen source.
I think it's worth to give it a try... Just don't forget to do a NAND backup before flashing a new ROM! (This can directly be done in ROM Manager when choosing the ROM to flash. )
I assume you know how to use Titanium Backup to port all your settings and apps to the new ROM. If not, no worries... it's fairly simple and actually self-explanatory!
If help is needed, feel free to ask here!

Epic fail.
Dear Experienced Users,
I have rooted my Samsung S Relay 4G SGH-T699 (previously unlocked and can use any sim) - I used CWM recovery, etc.
I love this phone.
The only problem is I want to get rid of all the T-Mobile branding crap, especially the Wifi Tethering Problem.
My experience: I use ODIN to flash, I also use ADB and SU. I also love experimenting
Is there some modified stock rom which has a tethering fix? The splash screens I can get rid of using other means.
I would really value some advice - I know you guys are all geniuses!!!
Best regards,

There are threads with debloated Stock images. There's also some custom image alternatives (Such as CyanogenMod 10.2, and new betas of CyanogenMod 11.0) Just have a look through the forums here, they're not hard to find.
Thanks

Please, Please - could you point me in the right direction? I find Cyanogen a bit alien... I'd prefer a debloated thing.
I really need help. I will even pay
hi i'm a samsung galaxy ace plus s7500 user with gingerbread 2.3.6 OS
i have a few questions and i hope all of experts, forums members and anyone can help me
the questions;
1. i plan to upgrade my phone OS from gingerbread 2.3.6 to anything upgraded OS that suitable, how i 'm gonaa do it ?:
a) do i have to used a custom ROM?
b) does the modification can affect overall system?
c) what is the pro and cont of using it?
i hope all the experts, forums member and anyone can teach me step by step about this thing and i pray that god bless all of you..
please help me
to do that you must flash a custom rom since gingerbread is the latest official rom exists.
to flash a custom rom you just follow the guide in general section (procedure is root your phone -> flash a custom recovery -> flash custom rom through recovery)
by overall system what do you mean? you can overclock(increase processor speed and such), by using a custom rom most of the time you'll have more free RAM since the official rom you're using has a lot of processes you don't need running in the background.
pros - much faster phone, you can install stuff that only works on newer versions of OS (such as google chrome and root only applications)
cons - if you choose an unstable rom it might have bugs, either way known bugs should be posted in the thread,
you can brick your phone if you do something wrong (although most of the time fixable but requires much effort from your side)
and you need to learn the process and what you're actually doing.
good luck im no expert but I flashed a few roms on my ace plus.
Hello, FDA people.
I've got a YEZZ 5.5 M LTE VR which, in a few words, has disappointed me. I'd like to know just a few things, if you can help me:
- I compared it to a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, and they're very similar, so I was wondering if I could use a customized ROM for that device (The Xiaomi one. I doubt there are any custom roms for the 5.5M)
- Can I install a customized ROM for a phone that is not the one it was designed for?
- I've already rooted the phone, but I haven't gone any further due to fear of hard brick
- I'm not in a position of buying a new phone at the moment
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Hi !
If a device has some similar hardware to another this doesn`t mean that you can flash a rom from one to another , it will brick it , don`t even think about it , do a proper research before proceeding to anything
There is no custom rom available for this device here on xda , you can ask here https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help but don`t put your hopes to high , not all devices can have a custom rom
Cheers !
