Hi All, From few day my xperia Neo-V’s Google Play not working.
My phone is rooted. Stock rom and kernel. Boot loader never unlocked. No custom recovery installed.
Initially Google Play started to show an error with 495 number. I searched the web and taken the following actions:
1) Clean cache of Google play and Google services framework, then rebooted.
Result: Nothing resolved.
2) Removed Google account. Rebooted. Google account re-created.
Result: Nothing resolved.
3) Removed Google play updates and tried different versions.
Result: Nothing resolved. But now it shows following different messages according to different versions:
1) “Check your connection and try again” (V 5.3.6, But Connection is working in other apps)
2) “No Connection” (V-4.8, But Connection is working in other apps)
3) “Unfortunately Goggle play store has stopped”
(V:3.5, Crashes when try to start and sometimes shows "Server error")
4) Phone settings reset, Reboot, above steps repeated.
Result: Nothing resolved.
Here I want to clarify when I first faced the problem, I found that date was not correct, it was one month advance. I corrected the date 'but nothing resolved.
Now I don’t know what happened with my phone. Can anybody Help me? Please…

Download Es file manager or root explorer.
Go to system/etc and find hosts file.
Edit it.
Delete all and copy that 127.0.0.1 localhost.
Save. Thats all.

Flash GAPPS, much easier way to do.
You probably want to install a custom recovery.
Thanks for the reply. I did a huge mistake...
Thanks for the valuable reply sir. But i did not wait for you reply (a huge mistake) and i factory reset my phone. Because it was rooted and so many system apps were removed from it. After resetting, its Home key not working, Power off button show only 'Power off' (Not 'Flight Mode', Silent mode etc), Camera not working. It hangs-up if camera app is opened and then i have to reboot it to access again. 'Slide to Unlock' not working. There may be other problems which currently i don't know.
I have a backup of all system '.APK' which was removed (But not 'App Data' only APKs). Now i am trying to install these all files and Converting them to system apps, After that i will Reset it to Factory settings again, With a hope 'every thing will be Ok. Will you suggest me anything else...
Problem Solved... Thanks to all...

a.s. i like to mess with system apps
So "all of the sudden" google play opens with a grey window stating server error with a button retry.
I tried the following:
1.Cleared cash, data, reboot.
Server error.
2. Let it run for a while as it auto updates.
Server error
3.Uninstalled, installed gp3.7.13.apk
Server error
4. Uninstalled, installed 3.5.19
Server error
5. Installed 3.7.13 back
Server error
In between somewhere the apps name was Market. Now its called Play Store again. Also some service called play store hygiene was running. Still server error. What else can i try?
It all worked well until it didnt. Ow except that for some apps ( that had the ability to install to sd card?) i had to unmount the sd card before installing, or else i wouldve got a message cannot install to usb storage or sd card. ICS problem?
I contacted google. Waiting for a reply...
@ikn0wagh0st ow yeah forgot to mention i am from germany. Haha maybe it is just a server error after all...

And your Google account is Ok?
Maybe you have to remove the Google account from your phone and re-create it again.
And no app is preventing Play store from accessing the internet?
(No firewall or filter app)
Play store is working fine ... and I am from Germany too.
Have you checked to access Play store from WLAN and/or mobile internet?
Maybe there is a difference?!
I tried both 3G and wifi. I double checked firewall configs and even disabled it to see if its working. I get the same server error message.
I went to /data/system and deleted accounts.db. Then i rebooted the phone, so the gmail account was no longer there... I started google play store and it was asking for an account. I closed it, went to settings and set up the deleted account again. Then i started google play store and guess what: server error. I feel frustrated.
Also i wrote google an email once and got a promt reply. This time they didnt reply yet.

New approach:
I uninstalled google play, then market and market updater from the phone completely and flashed it with the official sgs2 rom. Then opened the app now called Market, selected my service E-plus: server error. Now im pretty close in believing its some kind of server error after all. Hope itll sort itself out. I feel disconnected without google play.

I solved this issue by doing the following.
1. under > apps > All selecting Google Play/Store and selecting "clear data". I did the same thing for Google App Framework.
2. Reboot
3. Under accounts I removed my gmail account and added it back.
4. Reboot
5. Win
I've had this a few times caused by the time being set wrong on the device. My old wildfire refused to auto sync time and periodically went completely wrong and a few times my tablet has ended up on the wrong time after flashing.
Manually setting time/date works.

Can someone help me? I'm on a sensation xe running cianogen mod 9.1.0.
I can;t seem to get google play store to work! Tried everything and it's driving me insane, help? :/
I keep getting the server error issue. I have tried to delete the account and put it back, reinstall cianogen...but nothing seems to work?
PS.: Where is Google App Framework? I can't seem to find that anywhere!
What i can tell you is that i also reflashed the stock rom, but it didnt't solve the problem until i factory reset it, and flashed the rom again... now im not sure what factory reset would do if u run CM, but if you have a bulletproof bootloader like cwm, then its worth trying... I don't think factory reset changes anything in the boatloader. But i'm no expert, you should check that out.
You shouldnt worry about the framework, if you dont know where it is, you probably didnt uninstall it. Or did you accidently?
Ps. Its spelled cyanogenmod

Hi everyone, i m new here.
I have faced a big problem nw.
First of all, i can't download app from Google Play Store properly. It keeps giving me a message 'XXX could not be downloaded due to an error 927'. For sometimes the download will run but it can't complete the download.
This starts to happen after i have install and run ' Vodafone Market Enabler *ADS* ' from Google Play Store. (Ok i admit that i m stupid to use an app that i even dunno how it works.)
Though i still can access to internet via Facebook or Browser, but i can feel that there is a different compared to before. (Eg. Sometime it will show 'can't connect to internet' when using Facebook and laggy when using Browser)
I have searched everywhere to find the solution and tried everything i can do, but the problem is still there.
Maybe buying a new phone could solve the matter but i really can't afford it.
I m using SE Xperia Arc S
Build number 4.1.B.0587
and it is rooted.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, my phone is getting back to normal just now with no reason, or maybe i can say with don't know which is the reason is.
Let post my 'fixing route' below :
1. Run a 'Factory reset data' in Setting w/o Reset SD card. Problem is still there.
2. Update my phone to unroot it. Of course this is useless here.
3. Rooting my phone again. What m i doing... orz
...Starting to find any solution.
4. Clear data in Setting -> App -> Google Play Store(Force stopped), Google Play Services(Force stopped) and Google Services Framework(Force stopped). Remove my google account and add it back. Reboot. Problem is still there.
5. Uninstall updates of Google Play Store and uninstall Google Play Services. Problem is still there.
6. A solution here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20196766&postcount=14 but i don't know the way to find the .cache so i just leave it.
7. Remove the battery and SD card from phone and leave it about 5 seconds, then place in the SD card and the battery. Problem is still there.
8. A solution by boot into recovery mode and clear the cache and dalvic but my phone can't enter recovery mode so i passed it.
9. Run again 'Factory reset data' w/o Reset SD card. It starts to work as i finally can update my Facebook. After that everything goes back to could-not-be-downloaded-due-to-an-error-927 situation again.
10. Again, running 'Factory reset data' and now with 'Reset SD card'(of course important data is backed up). Problem is still there....
11. Frustrated, keep repeating cancel the download and re-download it. It works, Facebook updated and Root Checker installed. Then, once again it failed to download any other things.
12. About an hour pass then try again the '4th route'. But this time i just force stop and clear data of Google Play Store, Google Services Framework. Strange thing, i go to Google Play Store and it shows me 'Server error'. Restart phone. Google Play Store turns back to normal, but still failed to download.
13. Again after an hour, trying to download again, I found everything has going back to normal. Problem solved.
Though the problem was solved now, still i m scared this will happen again as what had happen in 9. and 11.
My apologies on my broken English.
Hi, I'am newbie at android device.
And now I have Hisense AD686G a.k.a Andromax C. It's from Indonesia.
I have problem yesterday. When I tried to edit my framework-res.apk via apkeditor and many way I could find on google but I have these problem:
1. After I've copied my work on /system/framework and changed the permission, my device automatically reboot in unproper way and then show locked homescreen and I try to slide lock button its not responded, then when I trying to reboot by pushing power button, same thing I got.
2. After I've copied my work on /system/framework and changed the permission, the screen shows normal view my rebooter work fine. But after I reboot my device there's error message like "Unfortunatelly [app] has closed" each application is calendar, Google Store and many more.
I try to solve this by fully wipe the storage and then factory reset, last time I try to format system too.
Now I reflash my ROM. Its normal. But I still courious, why that happen? Anyone can tell me?
Thanks for your attention and sorry for my bad english.
Hey Guys,
i got a little Problem with "Samsung Apps" on my Galaxy s6 (Stock Rom Android 5.0.2).
I rooted it, and thougt i should delete some of the System Apps. I also removed "Samsung Apps" thinking i won't need it.
After i wanted to download some Camera features i got the error : "com.sec.android.app.samsungapps is disabled", but i can't enable it ( yeah, maybe beacause its gone)
So i tried reinstalling it, using the Apk from this thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/themes-apps/hot-galaxy-s6-apps-t3041330
not functioning "Can't install the App"
also i tried getting the apk from the Stock "app" folder or "priv app" of the system dump, and copying the folders on my S6 device (to the same path)
http://zidroid.com/download-samsung-galaxy-s6-g920fxxu1aobn-system-dump/
still not able to reinstall. Reboot didn't change anything.
So last but not least, a factory reset didn't work either.
It has cleared everything and set the device to default settings etc, but "samsung Apps" is still not listed anywhere.
The question: does anyone have a clue how to reinstall it ? or do i have to download the Stock Image and flash it ?
Thanks for your time

I think the proper section for this would be the Q&A forum. Anyway, if you copy the app make sure to set the right permissions. In any case, if you flash a stock image over the one you have now, the problem should be solved. If it's not solved, a factory reset after that should fix it.

Ok thanks for the hint with the permissions.
I used der folder /system/priv-app/
and copied the Galaxy_Apps_3xh_zero.apk to my S6 path.
installing still wasn't working after setting the permissions ro rw-r-r- (like the other working apps)
i'm not sure, but i think it's something like an autostart path, so rebooting the phone after these steps, fixed my problem.
thread can be closed or whatever

Hi, recently the Google play services on my rooted galaxy s6 has stopped working, and I cannot seem to get it to work again.
I have tried deleting the hosts file and rebooting, and editing it to remove all but the first line and rebooting. I have also tried clearing the Google play data and cache, unintelligible updates on Google play, and removing and adding my Google account to my phone again. This also did not work.
I am on a rooted galaxy s6 running Android 6.0.1 on the spaceX kernel, and was wondering if anyone knows a way to fix this without having to flash the stock ROM back to my phone, as I rather stupidly forgot to make a nandroid backup with TWRP.
Thanks in advance.
I was looking into this yesterday for a friend
If your phone is rooted you can solve this problem but editing the host file. Here’s how to do it:
Open a file manager that supports root directory
Navigate to system > etc > hosts and select edit
Add a hashtag to the front of the second set of numbers and save
your changes (i.e. change from 127.0.0.1 to #127.0.0.1)
Reboot your device
Re-add your Google account
Your Google play store problems should be fixed now.
we haven't got around to trying this yet so if you do try it ...let me know how it works out.

I have tried this to no avail, adding the # is the same as deleting the hosts file, as it will just edit it to make it correct, or in my case create a whole new hosts file.
It seems like currently the only way I could fix this would be to flash a stock ROM onto it, as from what I have found out even a factory reset will not fix this.
Thanks for the reply regardless.
