I've ran into what has been a lingering issue with Lollipop ROMs I've used. Randomly I would be shown a black screen. I can click on the navigation buttons and they'll highlight but nothing happens. I can swipe down from the status bar but whatever I click, nothing happens. If a call rings through, the black screen will show the contact ringing in, but I can't interact with anything. I've also experienced this on lollipop ROMs for my Note 4 as well. Same exact issue.
I've done a Google search and some people mentioned maybe having Smart Lock settings enabled, Tasker installed or Light flow installed could be causes, but even after uninstalling and turning those settings off will not fix the issue.
Has anyone else ran into this?
I suggest you to flash it back to cm11s (o5q) and then re-install recovery and any custom rom of your choice.

My notification bar intermittently stops responding i.e. the pop up window with WIFI, GPS, etc options doesn't come up when I click on lower right corner. The home, recent apps, and back buttons work perfectly fine. I already created a thread about audio issues I am having with JB update. Now this... I tried cold boot and system factory reset.
Its all stock. No root or unlock.
Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks

Hello.
+1 : my Infinity (root, but not unlock) have exactly same bug since JB upgrade, i.e. no notification bar after boot (nothing happens when I click on lower right corner) unless a notification appears, so I must unmount and re-mount microSD for example to have a notification, and then the notification bar is back...
I thought it was a JB bug, but it seems that only some users encounter it... So, as Arundroid said, any help would be appreciated ! Thanks in advance...

Simply click the clock on the bottom right has no effect.
However if I use launcher defined gesture to invoke the notification bar, it will appear.
So i have been modding my phone for a month now and have found several bugs that make thinks kind of difficult. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 (GT-S7275R) and installed the Cyanogen 12.1 mod and latest kernel from Kotzir. The problem is when i get a notification in the drop down menu, it overlaps with the menu and the other notifications. I understand that the transparent theme may cause this "trick" of hiding the notification behind a menu may cause it to appear behind it, but it should scroll with the menu anyways. And besides that, in the notification area the notifications overlap as well. The standard music app even has 2 notifications overlap itself. So i think there is something wrong with the grid of the notifications? Some counter that's stuck or something? Other than that, the phone is really stable and battery life has extended by 150% so i am happy, but i don't like to have to manually open every app to see what is going on, even more so if you can only open it by the notification like USB settings and such.
(i would like to post pictures but since i am new here i have to make 10 post before i can. i will as soon as i can, sorry for that)
Thanks in advance
Nevermind
This from can be closed, i moved over to android 6.0 CM13. It doesn't have the problem.
However a bit more information for other people who want to stay at the CM12.1:
1: The problem seemed to happen whenever more then one app had a notification. Just one app after a fresh reboot didn't cause anything.
2: If you pressed where the icons should be, you would still select it. This means it was just rendered wrong. This would mean the grid is fine, but there is a bugg in drawing the notifications properly.
3: Sometimes the menu would freeze and the animation would hang but the menu would still be pushed upwards when swiped up. The menu would freeze causing you to only see a stripe with a half gear and the other icons but just at the top.
4: The clock becomes visible after turning the screen 90 degrees either way.
5: Restarting the GUI via the settings menu should solve the problem. The icons still work just image swiping down with your eyes closed. swipe all the way down and press the gear icon to open settings.
Thanks to the admin who placed it to the correct category anyways.
have a nice day everyone ^^
Greetings from Quinix
I just got the latest nordic ota update (I was on the .200 firmware and now have the newest version which didn't change the version number) but not whenever I use an app that switches to landscape (i.e., the camera, youtube, etc) I can hear the sound but there is no display. It is like everything keeps working in the background but I can't get my display back. I can pull down the status bar still but the only way to see anything else on the screen is to reboot the phone. Any ideas? I have checked for app culprits but can't find one.
Edit: Just found the responsible app...in case anyone was wondering Snap Widget drawer was causing it. Disabling the app fixes everything. I'll contact the dev.
Hi,
for a last month or so I'm having issues with Chrome. There is a persistent thin horizontal line just below the status bar, which doesn't go away. When I scroll down address bar hides normally, but this line doesn't ever go away. Color of the line is the same as the address bar.
I also can't go fullscreen, because both status bar and that line are still showing.
I tried cleaning data, disabling and enabling app and force closing it, but it doesn't help.
Getting back to factory version of the app fixes the problem, but every time an update is pulled same problems appear.
Changing display size to medium (I'm using small) also fixes it, but i don't want to use it that way.
I'm running stock Oreo, and I didn't do a factory reset after the update, but i think it started a couple of weeks or so after the upgrade, so I don't know if it has something to do with Oreo or not.
I tried googling this issue, but can't find anything similar.
Here are some screenshots so you can see what I'm talking about. The line can be seen best in a screenshot where i opened an all black image and scrolled until address bar hides.
Mine does exactly the same. Must be a chrome issue.
Seems to be intentional as it's still there in latest.
I think is not an issue. Is the address bar when is hidden at scrolling down a web.
Is a design decision from Google
In apps i cannot click anything that appears right under the status bar, whether its the search bar, sidebar expand button or options, its all broken. Quick settings work fine though.
I rebooted my phone but that didnt fix the issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
The weirdest part is how it works on certain types of user interfaces. In settings you can click on the search icon at the top that brings up the search menu, but now the search bar that is active does not respond to any touch inputs.
Found the issue!
Energy Bar (curved edition) drawing other apps caused the problem. It worked completely fine in android 11, but it seems that android 12 just broke that app in particular. Disabling "draw over other apps" permission for it fixed it.
I hope this helps anyone having a similar problem.
