I have an optimus f3 (LS-720zv7) for Virgin mobile and it's rooted. someone told me that if I tried installing ANY ROMs onto it that it would just brick. Is that true or can I?? Also How do I do it? And can I tweak my phone a little? Like custom fonts or something, Or will that brick it too? I've never installed any before or done anything to it cause I'm afraid I'll brick it and it's my only phone for a long time.
So if anyone can help and provide some kind of proof THAT'D be great and will thank you.

THANKS MAN! Satisfied with these fonts ?
Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Unfortunately I can't find any custom ROMs for your device on XDA, and if you attempt to install a ROM that isn't intended for your device it will indeed most likely brick it.
No response in two days, thread closed.

I am starting a new thread for the help of frustrated unfortunate fellows who are facing bricking their dear android while in the process of upgrading their ROM or other works. As a first step I invite guide for unbricking Motorola Milestone A853 which is a Chuck Norris in somebody's views but actually it is still competent with most of the modern ones. Also The guides for unbricking LG Optimus Soll and other devices are expected and invited in this thread so as to avail help by anybody who are needy.Awaiting with thanks,

Didn't know it may be possible to unbrick a bricked phone..I bricked my Nexus S recently.
Ok, devices are different. you cannot have a thread that will unbrick all devices, perhaps a categorical approach to this would work but these guides are in device forums anyway and have no real place in the xda-u. so to put it simply if there were a thread that explained workarounds for a soc and how it would unbrick the device that's ok but a thread that simply provided instructions, then they already exist.
unbrick hlp for lg p725

Wanted to ask you, how to unbrick an android phone if its bootloader is bricked?
Actually this happened with me, i installed a ported ROM in my Phone. And it suddenly stopped working. I wasn't able to get into recovery or odin mode. Nothing was working. And then i gave me phone for repairing to Samsung Store. Any solution for this problem(if it occurs again)?

Hey guys, I'm a newbie here I recently got ZTE Blade III. This phone is really cool. But since my carrier approves rooting, I'm thinking about it. So, I found a program called One Click Root. I just want to ask how safe it is? I'm really new to all this, I had an iPhone before this and I already know how to jailbreak. Nevermind lol.
Please tell me about this, if someone tried this, is it working? Thanks.
So? Anyone?
Yes one click root is safe
I had not tried it but heard it
All the thing is u get root access
Only the thing is u have to do it carefully
This should fix ur problem:thumbup:
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED

Yay, thank you I will try this tomorrow
Actually 1 more question :3 My boot animation is literally a piece of crap and I want to change it. Do I only need to replace the bootanimation.zip file or what?
Can't link to it, just search Google for "change boot animation ZTE Blade III" it came out to a website name then topic/334451-guide-how-to-change-your-bootanimation-and-splash-image/
Haven't tried it, I don't have the same phone as you. That was just a simple Google search for how to do it.
Also, OneClickRoot hasn't worked for me ever. I heard it's only for older phones because they quit developing for it a few years ago. You might wanna just search for a guide to root it properly. It shouldn't be too difficult, especially if your phone isn't locked.
But it is locked Um can you find a good tutorial on google, cuz I'm new to all this and I'm not sure which way to use Just find the easiest one lol

my suggestion before one click rooting is to look up your device on this forum and do your research. onclick does not work for all decvices, also your device forum will have step by step on how to do this with whatever you will need. many custom roms have this feature built in,
I will try that and tell what happened
Oh my god I found some tool and it WORKED!! And the OneClickRoot thing failed. Aah I'm so happy :3
so I've been trying almost everything i could possibly find for last 6 hours but almost all one click rooting services just fail and im just having a frustrating time... if anyone could send me to the proper thread or give me a little guide it would be very much appreciated!

Hi and thank you for using XDA Assist
Have you tried this?
Also if you want root i suggest you to directly flash a customized Xperia ROM with most of the features from Stock ROM included
Good luck !

You can learn most of these from YouTube or XDA as nothing can't be learned, at least for the basics such as rooting and rom installation, just look around the forums and try to understand everything first before doing anything with your device...
