No there is nothing universal sorry
I got lollipop on my sprint note 4 so I'm hope lollipop isn't far for the edge......

We need to make all the retail versions, developer versions by unlocking the bootloader!
Keep wishing on unlocked bootloader.

They never did it for the s4 so I'm not guessing it's not going to happen here either... I was lucky enough to have an mdk version.

Theoretically,yes... You would loose your Edge though....
Also you would need to match model with model, if you have a 915G it's no good flashing a 905F rom as you would get reboots, like when you flash a 915F rom on your 915G...
Would be careful though, I know it's supposed to be compatible hardware but do you really want to try this with your rather expensive toy?
Oh I was getting ready to laugh at him. So the sprint note 4 got the lollipop update already. So if I find the rooted rom for it I can flash it on my edge just to play with it?

I would be very wary... If something goes wrong, especially when flashing different version of android, there is a chance you might get to keep the Lollipop bootloader. People are saying you can go back but in this I wouldn't like to take the chance... As I said, it is a very expensive toy....
Personally, I don't want to brick my device so everyone else can learn it doesn't work...
hell yeah. i wouldn't be the first to try it thats for sure. i would make sure other people have had success with it before i did it.

Yes. You can use the battery pull method from kit Kat 4.4.4

The method is the EXACT same as it was on KitKat for both Sprint AND T-Mobile (as well as the Verizon Dev Edition). About a million guides were posted before. A quick search will bring them up.

I am looking for a link for galaxy tools for 6.0.1 for sprint. I have rooted my note 5 for sprint already. i know about the one for idoneapps the reviews on that seems to say it is a scam. so i am just looking for someone with the apk. please pm or post link here.

Following your thread. I'd like to know the same. There are two roots on the verizon forum. One says it's for developer edition only. And then the other doesn't say and no one is responding to my question in it.

Hey guys sorry for you not getting an answer, there are options for root and recoveries, but you do need to convert the device to developer version first. The process isn't too hard and can be found here for marshmallow devices and here for lollipop devices. Hit the thanks button on those threads if those developers helped and if you need help with carrying out the unlock of the bootloader so you can root, then you can hit me up
