Hello, I am in the mood to do some testing with upcoming / existing applications and how they perform and operate on the Motorola Xoom specifically.
I will install your app, perform required testing and upload video response so that you as a developer can see how the software is really performing on an actual device and not in an emulator.
Feel free to link your apps market link, or PM me about testing.
I will do this type of testing as a gift to the community and its developers.
Bring it on!

If you want app testing you better off going to the Xoom thread. This is a good place for it also.
I largely consider the Xoom "app thread" a place where Xoom consumers and owners are going to go look for apps that are already working or reported as working with their Xoom.
I want to spread a wide net to catch developers who may not be thinking of looking in that specific forum because after all, they would have to look in the app forum of every single android device.
Instead, I want developers who happen to care that their app looks right cross-device to notice and maybe help them update their apps

Hi All,
I have been a user of Android phones since the first Samsung Galaxy S phone was released. I loved that phone and still have it in prestine condition at home. I then moved up to the Galaxy S2 which i am still using to this day, as i have not needed to upgrade to the S3 yet, since the S2 has such great support on these forums.
Moving forward to the present date, i have developed a keen interest in learning how to program Android apps. However, I do not know where to start. So far I have downloaded and researched the following :
ANDROID SDK KIT AND SITE
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html#download
ANDROID EMULATOR - Jar of Beans
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1975675
APK file editor
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1189971
Very useful starters guide to ADB
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=872128
But am now stuck on the learning side of things.
So my question to you guys is, can someone point me in the right direction, with a couple of links and resources that they have used and found really useful. There is plenty of links after doing a google search, but I am looking for peoples tried/tested/succeeded links and resources, so that I have the very best material at my disposal for some upcoming ideas that I have for apps for the Android OS.
Any help in this area is greatly appreciated.
Hello,
This app is a free tool to navigate wikileaks's archives on Android .
Search by country to view all the documents & pages in its archives, there's also a search engine in the app to reach the desired document.
The app is a small contribution to the act of spreading awareness and providing easy way to access the truth.
You can download it from google play at :
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=backmycontent.backmycontent
Thanks for reading
Bump :/
another bump..
Thanks a lot for everybody who visited the post.
I If you think it needs translation to other languages, please tell me so I begin the translation ; which would mainly include the app's interface along with the opened wikileaks page -though documents would stay in their original documents to preserve the information provided by the site -.
Hi, thanks for this! However, when using it on my z3c the content is squeezed to the right. Is there any way to get the mobile view?

Thanks for telling me about the bug, there's a quick solution though, just press on "permanent link", you'll find it below the logo in the third box on the left, click it and it would open the browser of the phone automatically on the page your were at.
Though I'll fix the native app & update ASAP.

The bug was fixed & the app was updated ; the new version also includes a simple translation of the interface to Arabic language, based on the mobile's language.
Hello.
Please, if somebody can install this on S4 and try it ?
I already tired it on s3, s4 & xperia, it works perfectly on all those devices. Yet a review from a user reported that it doesn't work with s4 (even though I'm sure it does work).
Please, if you have enough time -and an S4 Samsung- try to download it & try.

The app was updated (to version 2.5) to include the following :
1)A more enhanced layout in the main page.
2)Showing the full title of documents via clicking & holding any article in the list below the "next page-pre page" buttons.
The new version would be available for download in the play store soon after this post.
Bump ; and I added a small poll
Just making sure that the topic is dead :/
Bumping this topic again. Please only 2 downloads remain & the app reaches "50 downloads" ; download if you can and rate
Hı dears!
I am using samsung Galaxy S3 Neo.
Thé problem is that the newly launched Microsoft Office for mobile is not compatible with multi-window feature of my phone, as I searched to solve the problem I found to reach Multi window manager pro to solve the problem. As I saw the post in your website, therefore I am writing to u on if you could provide me the App or guide me through another working one.
I tried to get the app from play store but due to region limitations it does not permit.
Thanks and I am looking forward to your kind reply on this regard.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
There are a few MWM apps out there, all look specific to particular devices. I found one that is close (for the S3 proper):
> Samsung Galaxy S III I9300, I9305 > Galaxy S III Themes and Apps > [APP] Multi Window Manager 1.3.1
You can ask there (once you have registered for an account):
If it will work for the Neo
If there are options for your region
Hope this helps, and good luck!
hello,i come looking to inquire about how dificult in would be to create a rom, that would boot directly to a browser (prefferably iceweisel) to run a series of html5 based apps my developement team is working on. security would be a massive factor. any developers that might have input please contact me and i can better fill you in on whats happening.
side note
the team i mentioned in the original post is very good with java script and the like but actual mobile devices are out of their line of expertise. thank you in advance for any help.

Maybe you should think of creating a Launcher app especially if you want your soft be able to launch on a different devices.
