Bodyguardz Crown installation video.......... Where's the Note 4 Version? - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Bodyguardz posted this video of the Crown installation on the iPhone but no mention of the Note 4 anywhere.
Maybe they scrapped the Note 4 version.

I just received my order from amazon, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PBC2KFK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
still waiting for my Note 4 to arrive. I think this one only covers the screen from the outermost visible part, leaving maybe 1 to 1.5mm on every side exposed. Similar to my S3, and similar to the iphone 6 that majority (actually all of them) have.

I want to try the crown too.
All the other protectors i've tried (15-20 different ones) are lacking in some way or another (mostly halo). Haven't tried the iloome .10, but I rather try the crown first.

They were asked about the Note 4 on their iPhone 6 installation vid on Youtube.

Just got my Bodyguardz Crown for my iPhone 6+. Installation is pretty much idiot proof. Absolutely the easiest install ever and the fit is excellent. Have to wait and see how it wears, but with a lifetime warranty, I don't have concerns.
I would imagine that the Note 4 version will be equally as good.
It fits fine with my Ringke Slim or Apple Leather cases. It really finishes off the front much nicer than any of the small tempered glass screen protectors that are cut short of the rounded edges.

Does the lip of the crown sit over the edge of the glass or just right up against it?

Right over the edge of the glass and butts up tight to the frame of the phone around the sides.
The crown, on the face, sits tight to the edge of the tempered glass, so right up against it rather than over it.

Since I don't have an iPhone I don't read their forums. Have iPhone owners had the same problem with halo free glass protectors that N4 owners have had or have there always been glass protectors that install w/o a halo available for the iPhone 6+?

I'm trying to procure a review sample for the Note 4; stay tuned.

iloome ScreenMate for Nexus 4

Hey guys, found this on amazon for $27.99 and I decided to buy it. It'll be getting here tommorow, so I'll review it then. For now, here's a link.

I was considering this Protector. Cant wait till you do the review its what ive been waiting for before buying or not buying!
Is there an option for a white N4 one? Can't seem to get it to select. Would like to preview how it looks like.
It isn't available in white... Yet.

Review!
Hey guys, got the review up. Sorry for the delay. This iloome ScreenMate is very similar to other tempered glass protectors. Reduced sensitivity, added thickness, etc. I would say this is better than the Fantom4, because it is cheaper, it has the same thickness, and has a 9h hardness, whereas the Fantom4 had a 8h hardness, for $34.99, whereas the ScreenMate has a better price tag, at $27.99
The edges are NOT beveled, thus creating a sharper edge and a lip, and the LED notification window is a little bit off, but no problem. The proximity sensor is a cutout, and the FFC is a window. This doesn't work with most cases, including silicone ones. I've been using this with a Nillkin Fresh (have a review on that soon), and the flap just has to accommodate to the added screen thickness, which can be easily solved by everyday use.
I DO recommend this protector, but it's not as good as others. Although, the screen sensitivity is pretty good, compared to others. No screen clarity is altered, and it is VERY smooth, almost like a new Nexus 4 smooth.
That looks ugly...

I own a Cruzerlite, and even that won't work with it. However, snap on cases work fine.

For over two months now I been using Skinomi Full Front/back and side protector with Ringke Fusion. So far its great. The sides are perfect.
I remember using Skinomi with Diztronic case -_-. It messed up the screen protector the 2nd day. Problem was diztronic case fits too tight which messes up the screen protector sides. I end up buying Ringke Fusion case.
Hmm im a little disappointed that cases dont fit and that it has the sensitivity issues like the other glass protectors and also that it seems so thick ( i dont see why it has to be when there S4 protector is like half the thickness of the N4's). So do you think the ringke hybrid would work? Either way thanks for the review keep us updated if you can or would like with how it works for you over time! like scratches and what not.

it actually gets onto the glass a bit. I had a full screen Xtreme guard and it bubbled up because of this.
Has anyone done a review on the Poetic Pallete? I really want that case T.T
Am willing to trade for one haha

Dust gets attracted under the protector after a few weeks. Not worth it, because the Nexus 4 is deigned with curved edges. And is incompatible with most cases. I would just stick with Spigen.

Waterproof cases and bags/pouches

Anyone know of any waterproof cases like the Otterbox preserver or lifeproof being developed for the Note 4? Anyone know of any waterproof bags or pouches that will fit the note 4? Or even works/seals out water?
I ordered an ipad mini waterproof bag/pouch that should be arriving today. I'll update when I get a chance to try it out. That seems to be the only option so far for making the Note 4 waterproof.

There are plenty of options for pouches out there without having to resort to one made for an iPad Mini. A quick search on Amazon will bring up several of them. Here are two of them:
JOTO Universal Waterproof Case Bag
Says it fits the Note 4, and it has great reviews.. Since there are several reviews that mention that it fits the Note 3 (without a case), I would wager that it does work with the Note 4 (also without a case).
DandyCase Waterproof Case
That one fits the Mega, so it should have no problem with the Note 4. Great reviews too.

I have an otterbox defender on my note 4. So the total length goes up to 6.5" x 3.75" approximately. My ipad mini waterproof pouch just came. My phone is mostly usable even with the pouch. There's a slight problem with being able to push the side volume and power buttons, as well as pulling down the notification shade. I think it's due the tightness/taughtness of the plastic - there's no slack.
I might try a pouch made for 7" tablet, instead of an 8"-incher. It'll be a tight fit and probably have even more tightness issues. All of the other pouches, even for the Galaxy Mega 6.3", were too small for my Note 4 with my otterbox on.
A waterproof case like the Otterbox Preserver would be best.

Not a case I would trust my phone to. Reviews for their other cases are poor, citing an inability to use the phone while it's in the case.
I don't think any phone can be used, with a waterproof case or pouch that has a touchscreen. Capacitive touchscreens use small electrical currents if I'm not mistaken, and when wet, the screen on any waterproof device goes weird. I have the Gear 2 which is water resistant, and I can't use the screen when it has water on it otherwise it goes all weird

There are actually many waterproof cases and pouches that are designed so that you can use your smartphone's touchscreen. In fact, essentially all of the good quality ones allow that. Of course, when the screen protector on the case gets wet, it can be difficult to use the screen for the reason you mentioned. But when dry, a waterproof case of any decent quality will still allow you to use the screen.
Bring up the post.. hopefully there will be many waterproof case coming [emoji1]

I'd personally go for a slickwraps or dbrand skin for the back of you don't like cases. It'll protect it, and you can get something like a leather to still keep the premium look.
thank you for thread , i hope we found soon good protectors
I hope someone will test out some of the crap on eBay, because I sure as hell am not going to pay 50+ dollars for a screen protector.

Hi Y´all!
I ordered this one yesterday:
https://shop.brando.com/brando-workshop-full-screen-coverage-curved-glass-protector-samsung-galaxy-note7-transparent_p14575c1547d8.html
I´ve had good experience with Brando for the screen protector for my old trusty SGN3.
But the shape of the screen on the SGN7 has got to be a challenge.
On a flat screen a 10TH of a mm / 5 100TH of an inch doesn´t matter.
Here the shape has to be just right for the sticky coating to make a bubble & distortion free experience.
I saw a screen protector review on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQXq0ewUJtU
This product tried to handle small differences in curvature etc. by only applying sticky coating on the edges.
I would have to agree with reviewer. That doesn´t work.
With 20/20 hindsight I might have thought to ask Brando about this before making the order - Oh well :fingers-crossed:
Regards
Elo
Can't wait to see the results!!

On the other hand, I currently have a Skinomi one on mine (wet application). I'm using masking tape to hold down the edges as it dries and adheres. So far it's almost invisible because I took my time. No rubbery feel either. If my case works well with it I might not even install the glass one.
Leaving the plastic sticker on the back glass for now, though.

Same here and keep Note 9 in a flip case. Prefer to spend money on case and not £40 On Whitestone solution.
I'm gonna go with the Zagg glass screen shield. Have one for my Note 8 and it works great. Full adhesive throughout so no issues with air gap and clarity is good. Expensive but I always end up buying 3 or 4 other cheaper ones that usually don't work, so might as well get a good one. Whitestone ones are good, but I hate the loca glue application process. Zagg one is way easier.

You can get the two pack for 41.99... use the code THRIFT30 at checkout...
I wanted to get the Dome but saw that it doesn't play well with the Gear VR. I'll try the screen protector they're giving with preorders where I live:
Pure Gear Extreme Impact: http://www.pure-gear.com/shop-by-de...act-screen-protector-for-samsung-devices.html
Cant say for certain as I don't have the Note 9 or the protector yet, but they say it will. I have it for the Note 8 and have no issues with using it with a case.

Had great luck with Armour Suit , works decent with the spen on my note 8. Until curves are gone I have given up on glass, just look at the whitestone dome thread in the note 8 forums. I dont want that kinda hassle. Might run naked also, depends on how the gorilla glass holds up to sand.

Awesome! Do you know how long the code is good for?
I also ordered the Dome Glass Full 3D Curved Edge Screen Shield. I got the 2 pack so if I mess up somehow, I have a back up.
So just ordered some of Spigens products. The Liquid Air and Neo flex. Since this phone is quite big the slimmer the better I feel

whitestone worth the premium?

I'm looking around for a tempered glass with decent touch responsiveness. do we know much about how well WSD will protect the screen vs other protectors? it costs quite a pretty penny. i was wondering if any of you had experience with cheaper ones that'll offer the same level of protection? this one (https://www.amazon.com/LK-Protector...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=YX5Y8Z1JQ3BMGQX5XTF8) is quite highly rated at amazon and has a fakespot rating of A. anyone tried it out?

The link you provided is a product that only has adhesive on the sides, don't waste your time there will be an air gap and the screen responsiveness will be garbage. Like you said those reviews are fake and you would be wasting your time and money if purchased. Yes the WhiteStone dome is expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have had mine installed since Launch and not a single issue, it looks and feels like there isn't even a screen protector installed. For a product that could potentially save your phone from breaking, why skimp out? Would you buy cheaper tires on your car that are much more likely to fail? No.
I do believe that the Whitestone is worth the price.
I have been using tempered glass screen protectors for a few years now and the Whitestone is much easier to install, bacause of the jig that comes with it.
I have installed the Whitestone on two Note 9s. One for the wife and mine.
The only issue I have is a minor one. It seems a bit of excess glue is around the edges and atractslint from my pocket.
The coverage and feel is awesome.
Once you buy the full kit that includes the UV light, only the replacement kit is needed for any other install or phone. The replacement kit comes with the jig, but not the UV light.
I refrained from purchasing a phon ewith a curved screen until this type of screen protector was available. I refused to deal with the ege only attached protectors.
It is a bit pricey, but I highly recommend it. After all, you are protecting a thousand dollar phone. Twice what I've ever paid for a phone.
My experience with the whitestone: It is ok if you dont mind the sharp edges when you swipe from the sides. In my case, air bubbles started to appear at the right edge. Whitestone sent me one replacement which I am trying to sell, because I don't see it working in my case.
Pros:
Clear;
Sensitive;
Warranty (although you have to pay for shipping);
Cons:
Sharp edges;
Air bubbles appear at the edges after some time, 2 months in my case;
The adhesive left exposed at the sides attracts dust/lint;
how do you get the glue off when removing? I bought a twin pack but the first is quite scratched

The glue is attached to the glass, not your phone. Once you begin peeling the screen protector off you will notice the glue is only on the screen protector and your phone is left clean.
does the whitestone dome work with the Note 9 included case? as im fairly happy with the included case for now, but i wanna get the dome screen protector if its compatible.
What is the included case? In my country there is no included case, but it is compatible with the samsung silicone case.

Oh what?! I didn't realise that. Well in Australia it comes with a clear rubber/silicone type case inside the box. I believe it's the same one samsung sell on their accessories page. So I guess it'll be compatible then, sounds like the same one you're talking about. Thanks

I think it's worth the premium. Been using it since S7 days and installed, I think 7, on friends/family phones. Killed itself for 3 displays from drops so far.

You're welcome!
A benefit of the vast research, conducted for the purchase of A Note 9 for the wife. Thru that and setting it up for her, I was so impressed that I got a Note 9 for myself. The 8/512 version, of course.
My first non rootable phone in about 6 years.
I am digging it!

I was really hesitant on spending $40 on a 2 pack of tempered glass. But after biting the bullet i couldn't be happier with the glass. It fits and feels great. Doesnt disrupt the touch sensitivity and keeps the premium feel of the phone. I hated that the cheap ones that only have adhesive on the sides and dot matrix on screen made the phone feel super cheap because it felt like you were touching a plastic screen.

be careful, however, if the phone falls and hits the glass film, it does not protect the display and breaks, it happened to me on note 8.
In other words, it protects only from the graff.

No tempered glass is going to protect your screen from cracking. It helps but doesn't prevent it if the hit/drop is right.

If you want a tempered glass screen protector then the only option that works well (IMO) is the Whitestone Dome. The issue is (and I've tried many times) with Whitestone Dome is that the sides of your screen protector may get tiny bubbles even after you think the install was perfect. Mine showed up after a day and spread to the enter left and right side of the protector.
