[Q] Is xtracted recovery.img from stock firmware ok to odin flash like TWRP was? - General Questions and Answers

Hi. I am comfortable with using Odin to flash TWRP recovery using the recovery.img file. I extracted the recovery.img file from my stock firmware that I downloaded. Would I be able to use that file to flash my original firmware's recovery back to erase TWRP and go back to stock recovery? Or would that not work?

Yes that should work.

[Q]How to reinstall firmware(radio)?

Hi, I formatted my firmware from clockwork recovery and I tried installing a ROM. Problem now is I don't have any radio(baseband) and I'm not sure if it has caused any other problems. Currently running Purity ROM 4.4.2
Probably need to fastboot flash cache.img
Search this forum for "cache.img" or something

Fastboot flash radio <name of radio.img> or simply adb flash a flushable zip of a radio.

The latest radio image from google radio-hammerhead-m8974a-1.0.25.0.23.img can be extracted from the Nexus 5 4.4.2 stock rom.
Then use zephiK's instructions to flash it.
The latest stock ROM can be downloaded from google at https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/hammerhead-kot49h-factory-02006b99.tgz

flash 5.1.1 rom

Can some1 give me a tutorial to flash a 5.1.1 rom after 6.0.1 rom xtresolite ?
I flash bootloader and modem în Odin ? But where do i put the files ? Bl and ap?
And after that i flash the 5.1.1 rom ?
If it's stock ROM, just flash ROM in Odin. Then immediately boot into recovery (it will be stock recovery) and factory reset. Then boot ROM.

You can try (1) flash PIT file to restore default partition map then (2) flash stock firmware then (3) flash twrp 3.2.1 and (4) flash magisk

Good luck...
