Help rooting moto g - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi people u was wondering is there a one touch root optionvfir moto g iv not updated to lolliepop yet on on 4.4.4 if not wot is the best option any links to how too's would b appreciated.

Is your bootloader unlocked? If it is, the simplest way to get root would be to flash a custom recovery and flash supersu from recovery.

Get CF auto root for your Moto G from the site. It's very easy to flash it.

[Request] Alternative ROOT

Hello you guys,
I would like to know if there's a way of ROOT Moto G 16GB without unlock bootload or format factory the phone?
In my Xperia L phone I was able to do that, but I cannot find a way to do in Moto G.
Thanks and regards.

Currently there's no way to do that on Moto G. The only concrete way is to support Towelroot (http://towelroot.com). Take a look this thread for more info: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/general/geohots-moto-g-pledge-t2795129

Did you figure it out, same problem here.
Motorola provides a convenient way to unlock your bootloader. You can just follow this guide to unlock and this to root.
I initially had problems with unlocking the bootloader but try the above method first.

I have the same phone and I done had about 5 of them. There has to be something you are doing wrong. All of my phones where able to get the bootloader unlocked. They are all XT1031's from Boost Mobile. If you would like some help just PM me.

I tried the tool but I don't think it supports my model I think it's only for GSM (XT1032) because it started to say no Sim card my but Moto G is CDMA so I doesn't need a Sim.
