[Completed] [Q] open task manager in android by pressing back button - XDA Assist

can i open recent apps(task manager) in my android 4.2.2 (intex aqua i 14) and samsung galaxy note 2(android4..3) by long press back button ??? :silly:

Hi
Thanks for writing to us at XDA Assist. Customising button actions is usually only possible when you have a custom ROM installed on your device. But, if you use a launcher like LMT Launcher you can configure it for many actions from many gestures. You'll find the app thread here:
[APP][ROOT] LMT Launcher
Good luck!

Menu button not working with using navigation bar
Hi there,
the 3-dot menu button is there but they don't work. Nothing happens if I click on it.
My hardware buttons don't work anymore so i'm using the navigation bar (qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 in prop.build).
On HTC One S3 (ville).
Thanks in advance,
Maik

[Q] GT-I900 4.4 Resurrection Remix remove persistent google search bar

Would have posted this in the relevant forum, but the site won't let me until I have enough posts...
I have a GT-I900 running Resurrection Remix kitkat 4.4.x based rom. Happy with it except I want to remove the persistent google search bar at the top of the screen. There are instructions for doing this for the ICS based rom but not for this. There are no apparent settings to remove the bar, despite the screenshots in the relevant thread showing an absence of this bar.
Please can someone tell me how to remove the bar on this rom, or if impossible, whether there is another good 4.4.x based rom for the GT-I900 which can allow this.

[Completed] [Q] CM-11 TREBUCHET stops Working!!

Hello.
I am new here and also to android. Please help me with the following.
Here's What happened:
I had rooted my LG optimus L5 e610/612 phone and installed CM-11 (4.4.4 - kitkat) on it.
After using for 6-7 months , Today I switched over from google now launcher to Trebuchet.
I held the home screen for 2s to set my default home page, then i saw an option for dropdown.
I got various options like setting screen transition etc .
There I changed the search bar from default to google now.
So after this whenever I open the trebuchet it stops working, and i'm forced to use google now launcher.
Please Help.

[Completed] Android app created shortcuts

Hello!!!
Recently I've installed dual boot on my phone, and this faced me:
The dual boot manager app has an option to reboot to specific ROMs using a homescreen shortcut, BUT the shortcut can only be created through the app. That means i cannot see it in the widgets page of any launcher, or the shortcuts.
I tried to see if there's a certain activity I can launch to change the ROM and failed.
I also tried to see if I can mimic the shortcut, but then saw it doesn't just change a little thing, but changes a whole file of 5mb and makes specific text changes I cannot mimic.
This is where my question comes in - is it possible for me to make start this shortcut via tasker or anything of the kind, withought simulating taps on the homescreen oe wherever?

I am using the Galaxy S5 SM-G900F running CyanogenMod 13 as the primary ROM and AICP (MM) as the secondary ROM.
I am using the dual boot app found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447534
Although at a first glance the thread seems to deal only with the galaxy s4, upon opening the app you see there are quite a few devices supported - including the galaxy s5.

Hi Benrap
Thank you for the prompt answer
Indeed that was my first thought as the APP OP states only supporting S4 devices but, as you say so ...
I would suggest you to post your inquire into that thread as it seems the most appropriate place for it

[Completed] Nova Lanucher App button missing

Hello
I have rooted i9506 with Nova Launcher.
Recently i removed step by step lots of bloatware apps with Titanium Backup.
Today i uninstall next portion of apps.
But after last removing apps, App button (circle in the middle) of Nova Launcher gone missing.
I have a backup of all apps, but the problem is that I don't remember name of the package responsible of that.
If only TB had logs with removed apps and dates ...
Can someone know name of this package ?
I can provide list of removed apps, but i need help how to do that, I'm using TB in free version.
