Hi guys,
Had a problem with my stock Android (4.4.4) when it softbricked - got a black screen during boot.
Flashed Stock EU 4.4.4 (RETAIL-EU_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_36_cid7_CFC_1FF) and all worked fine, got an OTA upgrade to 5.0.2 again all fine.
Yesterday the phone started playing, when I tried to close and app through the Recent Apps or Uninstalling an app that was in Recent Apps, I get a Black screen and in 5-10 seconds I have a freshly rebooted OS or Launcher (cannot say for sure).
Decided to do a Factory Reset.
Now the fun part, after the restart and I got my Google Account Setup, Chrome disappeared, after I realised this, installed it from Google Play and each time I wanted to launch it got the Black Screen and Launcher restart.
Did another Factory reset, Installed Chrome but selected the option to have Chrome tabs in Chrome rather than in Recent Apps (you can change that when you set it up)
Now Chrome works, but still any manipulation through Recent Apps (Closing and App) or Uninstalling an App that is in Recent Apps restarts the Launcher.
Any suggestions?
UPDATE:
After another reboot, the boot process was stuck at the M logo with ripples.
In the end Flashed 4.4.4 and did another OTA 5.0.2 Update...

I managed to get it back to stock rom and un-rooted but for some reason now when I try to install my natwest app it crashes my phone. So far out of all my backed apps its the only one that doe's this
Yesterday, I decided it was time to update my optipop build. So, I backed up, I grabbed the new version and the new 5.0.1 PA gapps package and dirty flashed them over the old build. After booting, the google services started acting weird (chrome was freezing, sync wasn't working and google play simply closed every time I pressed it) so I tried logging in again and a clean flash, to no avail. Even a restore from the old backup didn't work. If I try to add any of my google accounts to the device, it gets stuck at "the checking info" screen. The animation keeps running indefinitely. And I've run out of ideas besides reflashing a stock ROM which I don't think will help.
Can anybody help?

Download a Free VPN app, somewhere in the web, then try to reconnect.
Last weekend I flashed the most recent CM 11 version and the Pico GApps package (from here). The phone has worked perfectly since then, very fast, no issues at all.
This morning when I turned it on I immediately saw 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 42 apps.' I have all auto-updates and syncs disabled, and this is the first time this has happened.
When the phone finished booting, it told me that Chrome and my email app and AV crashed. Opening any user app results in the app crashing immediately.
I tried rebooting, same result, same Upgrading message.
I rebooted to recovery and cleaned the cache and Dalvik cache. This time I see 'Android is Upgrading' and 'optimizing __ of 132 apps.' When it finished booting, same thing - a few apps crash immediately, all other user apps crash when opening.
What's happened to my phone? I'm new at this, it's getting frustrating. I don't know why it was upgrading anything to start with...
I can't open any apps to look at Root Explorer, etc., can someone please tell me should I just reflash the CM 11? Do I need to flash the stock ROM first? I don't know what to do next. This is still new for me.
I have a 32GB Nexus 5. Yesterday, I made a backup, then attempted to flash this stereo mod. After reboot, the launcher stopped. I attempted to go into the settings via recent apps menu, and SystemUI crashed. I flashed the stock mixer_paths.xml file, rebooted, same thing.
I restored my backup, and oddly enough, it still didn't work. I followed this guide to flash the factory image of LP, and even after the factory image, it still crashed. I installed the task manager I normally use, noticed that it didn't show any processes. Literally says 0 Processes, 20 services.
What could be the issue? Any way to fix?
Edit: Problem solved.
Starting on the first week of 2019, I have experienced problems with my Tab3 7 Essentials tablet that I bought 7-8 months after its initial release. I enjoyed it until that following day.
The problem first started after I am updating some apps from Google Play Store. I tried to update it, but got an error of -504 after 5-10 minutes of trying to install (not downloading from WiFi). One reviewer even said that the same thing happened on his device which runs Android 5.0.
I tried numerous apps to install/update, but the same problem, even for the apps that are not installed yet. I restarted my tablet.
The tablet went to the manufacturer bootlogo (right after the initial bootscreen with "Powered by Android" text) and instead of taking the regular time (about 15-40 seconds), it went up to about 7 minutes of the bootlogo to just start up.
I then tried to install/update my apps again, but this time, Play Store gave me an error of 910 (again install). Even Play Store is unable to update itself, but it either gives up and makes me unable to open Play Store until I restarted my tablet, or the tablet automatically restarts which took about another 7 minutes. What's weird is if the tablet has automatically restarted (soft reboot) because Android crashed, the logo doesn't show up but it boots up normally.
Also, my apps are soon going to be dependent on Lollipop and above, by making them incompatible with Jellybean, or my apps that I'm going to install isn't compatible with Jellybean.
I scanned my device for suspected malware by Malwarebytes, but nothing is found except one of the system apps (related to system update) that has Adups. None of the ads show up yet.
My firmware is updated to its latest version, if it helps. It originally came with the S00025 firmware and I'm running S000028. Each upgrade took around 30-35 minutes to optimize all apps with the black screen.
I knew that Lollipop should run correctly, because I have another tablet, which runs Jellybean, that works correctly except the ghost touch issue. Is there any solution to get out of this problem where I can't install some apps and the tablet taking around 7 minutes to boot up?
