Sony said that the update will release in the next 2 weeks, but I doubt it. We'll have to wait a little bit.

Just wait till the Lollipop goes for any Z3 including D6603 just somewhere like Russia,Brazil,Germany. In that time you'll see update for D6633 too. But now, there is only Lollipop update available for Baltic and northern Europe regions where there is no Dual Sim version sold
well i also read somewhere that they would not roll the update for the z3 dual variant due to dual sim bugs in lollipop. I dont know if it is true i just want my official lollipop and if not then hello cm12

Wow what a news :laugh: It was an update which was certified by PTCRB 3 weeks ago and there is nothing related to Lollipop update in it. Please for god's sake just post news that is about our membership in XDA :crying:
Hope there is lollipop for D6633
I contacted Sony people in Saudi Arabia because according to the IMEI number of my z3 dual its belongs form there. I bought off ebay.
They told me lollipop update is rolling out for entire z3 range so its "highly likely" (exact words used in the email) it will come out for Z3 dual d6633.
Thats what was informed to me... so hoping its correct otherwise the day Z4 dual is released I am switching

So what i have undestood is that the current lollipop update that have been released is only for the Z series in the UK. And there is NO Z3 dual in UK ( like released in UK ) . We should be getting the update for our z3 dual when the update starts rolling globally.

I asked Sony Mobile HK the following: "Any update on D6633 (Xperia Z3 Dual) getting Lollipop update?". Their response was: "currently we just launched the Android 5.0 update for Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact Wifi version, the other models are on their way too, pls stay tuned."

I don't think it's a market question. I'm from Brazil and D6643 just received lollipop (23.1.A.0.690) from Oi BR. In the USA, D6603 just received lollipop too (Customized US - 23.1.A.0.690 / R4C). Both, USA and Brazil, for example, have D6633 in their market - and they're not the same as UK market. So, I think SONY has no plans of updating dual sim version right now. It's ridiculous all the Z series receives lollipop update before all the Z3 models.

Even the Xperia Z is waiting for the KitKat update when it should have had it long ago, the Xperia Z1 and Z Ultra are the only lucky ones till date but that’s no surprise as they were flagship devices until the Xperia Z2 was revealed back at MWC 2014. We don't need sony to give 4.3 update. We just need sony to give us update to unlock our device's bootloader. If we can unlock bootloader then we don't need sony to give us 4.3 update anymore as we can create our own custom roms

this phone is just released this phone must get lollypop update. that is why i bought this phone.
this phone has z3 looks so if z3 getting lollypop this will also get. but problem is we are not running 4.4.4 so that mean it is a bit difficult to tell next update will be 4.4.3 or 5.0.

Really, but what makes me sick about Sony is the very bad support!
I got a time ago a Xperia L and it was updated only of 4.1 to 4.2.2, fortunately i got non-official 4.4
My last Sony was a Xperia M and same thing happened, XM stuck on 4.3, iven it's launch was in time to get official kitkat update from Sony.
Now i'm with my XE3 waiting for the Lollipop update, maybe Sony disappoint me again?
Android 5.0 (Lollipop) is the most agressive change on the android plataform, the new runtime ART give us a lot of free RAM and battery life. I want it!

After seeing this post I think we ain,t gonna get official update to lollipop ? we have to make unofficial update. Sony has a pretty bad support.

sony has released AOSP for this device with 4.4.4 kitkat so i hope sony is gonna release official update to android 4.4.4 kitkat soon. and it showed that sony is supporting e3 for now.

Hehe not sure bro, with my XL was the same... We got a AOSP non-official KitKat with a few bugs from Sony and officially XL stay stucked at 4.2.2.
I think we will get a 4.4.4 major update and nothing more, but i wish to be wrong!

Great! We need a CM12 version, i got CM12 a time ago on my old XM and it's awesome, lots of free RAM, Battery use a bit lower and overall OS running smoothly.

Yeah! We need this new ART runtime, the blue and white look is awesome, clean backgrounds, amazing icons, fast boot, RAM and battery use improved, i'm really intersted on it.
we know the 'bad-support' of sony on updating, but I think the E3 should have got at least 1 major update, such as previous device. just take last year low end as example, such as E1 which jumped from 4.3 to 4.4 or M from 4.1/4.2 to 4.3. So the good may be we'll have 5.0 update, yet the worst we only have 4.4.4 update. But unofficial update surely will come, as S400 is really popular.

This device is in supported devices list of lollypop and even sony knows that and after aosp is released making lollypop update is become easier for sony and this device is famous for it,s z3 look and without lollypop it won,t look alike z3. They have to update it.

Any dual SIM variant of a phone released by Sony sticks to the same update schedule of the single SIM variant. It will get Android M, don't worry.

Doesn't specifically mention dual sim variant but I assume Z5 listing indicates all variants.

Ask the manufacturer, XDA has nothing to do with when your device gets a stock update.
Also, updates are controlled by your carrier. Do you and your friend have service with the same mobile carrier? If your network is different than his then it means his carrier has the update but yours doesnt.

I guessing it must have been the New XA-1 which ur friend got which comes with Nougat, Cause old XA is yet to receive Nougat. I Am using the same Old XA and waiting too :crying: And best guess it's gonna roll in June, like 60% sure it'll be in Early or Mid June, cause i had Xperia M4 aqua last year, it was supposed to receive Marshmellow in March but it landed in June so guessing it's kinda the same case here too.. everyone was expecting it in March no news yet.
