I have an alcatel 7040N, its from metro pcs, i need to flash it and cant be detected by alcatel upgrade tool. Then i wonder if someone knows where to get some rom for this model to load it from sdcard.

Sorry ... there is not much about your exact device on xda.
I found this thread: Alcatel One Touch Fierce 2 7040n Root/Bootloader/Recovery by DonSolo.
Maybe you can ask there ... you just have to register on xda first.

just open google and search alcatel onetouch idol x+ 4pda. click on the first link that appears,its in russian language so dont forget to translate the page in english
Uhhh hello, I have a Alcatel Onetouch Elevate and it got bricked. Wonder if anyone can help me out. Like, reinstalling stock firmware/rom again. Starting from the beginning.

As far as I know, the newer Tracfone devices are almost impossible to root. The bootloader is locked as well.
hi, were you ever able to get it rooted?? I just got the alcatel raven lte a574bl through tracfone and i have been having the hardest time getting it rooted! i have tried everything, and not getting anywhere so wondering if you were ever able to and if so how? thanks!

Any luck on finding a root solution that does not need a PC for this type of device?
