I think OTA's can take long time for the device to receive it. If you want it now just flash manually.

The roll out of a new version of Android for Nexus devices usually takes a few weeks for everyone to completely get it. I waited about 5 days then could not wait anymore since this was supposed to bring so many bug fixes and so many enhancements. So it is up to you if you want to update manually or wait for the automatic one. The good news is you can update it manually without it erasing anything on your device in most cases.

Nexus 5 still no OTA lollipop update

Good day,
Well, my wife has the Nexus 5 and her phone still hasn't got the 5.0 lollipop update by OTA. Which is wierd. I would do the manually image update on her phone. But she doesn't want to loose her game saves and all that crap. I am in Canada. Anyone else in Canada not get the lollipop update yet as well? And is there a work around. Probably a far shot of a question.
Thanks
Lol is everything stock?
my friend is having the same issue
i rooted my buddies nexus 5 and flashed the factory google image for 5.0, now that the patch has come out he wanted me to revert him back to stock
so i took him back to 4.4.4 where he was before the factory image.
he wasnt getting the update.
i read somewhere else that the bootloader has to be re-locked for ota's to work so i did that too. still no update.
Got my nexus today, hoping for lollipop update, and it says 4.4.4 is the latest one :/

Yup. Her phone is stock. Nothing done to it.
I got kind of the same problem. Got my OTA notification maybe 3 weeks ago. I didn't want to upgrade the phone just yet, had been hearing some battery issues and wanted to fint out if it was worth to upgrade.
Today I decided I would do the upgrade since the 5.0.1 has been moved out, I thought that 5.0.1 would take care of the first bugs. But when I try to upgrade it says I have the latest version. I'm on 4.4.4 stock, no root.
I did hide the notification for the updates right after I got the first notifications for it, but I have been checking back from time to time to see that the upgrade was in fact still availible on my phone. It was maybe a week ago, but not anymore.
Does anybody know if I'm supposed to do something to be able to upgrade now, or should I just wait?
Thanks
Should just be a waiting game.

Don't know if your answer was to me. But if it was, do you know Why the update is gone now? Any reason for that?
Yeah something vent wrong
I had kitkat 4.4.4 on my neuxs 5 Rooted. so when OTA lollipop came i went back to stock rom and updated My N5 from 4.0 to all the way 5.0 Lollipop.
but i had to go back to Kitkat because no game hacking software is working with lolipop so i wen back to 4.4.4.
Now again i m trying to get OTA update for 5.0 (no root) its not not showing me in update its stuck on 4.4.4. and its says that my software is up to date.
I am from Toronto Canada. I guess OTA update is gone for CANADA.
Lets just wait.

Ya, I don't know why her phone hasn't gotten it yet. I may have to unlock the bootloader and do it manually!!!!

Problem is that if her bootloader wasn't already unlocked, the act of unlocking prompts the phone to erase all userdata. Which is why you should always unlock the bootloader right away with a phone before doing anything.
I've read on reddit, that maybe cause it's 5.0.1 out, we have to wait in line again for it to become available on our devices, the same reason is with the guy who dismissed his notification

Sorry yes it was to you. Because the updates are delivered in batches. If you ignore the update for so long, you go to the back of the queue until it's your turn again.
OTA Update
Hey guys let us know if OTA update working again or not cos 5.0.1 is released i think it should work now...
any one?
this still doesn't explain why my wife's Nexus 5 is still on 4.4.4 and hasn't receiving the lollipop udate as of yet. It's been out for a bit now. This is screwed up beyond beleive!!!

You could always just purchase one those backup apps like Titanium that does not require root and then save everything. This way you could do a manual side load.

It does explain it.
OTA system is kinda of a lottery - either your device is a winner, or it isn't.
Just freaking get the OTA update zip and sideload it. You won't need to unlock bootloader for that.

Got mine a day later, was prompted to update to 4.4.3 followed by 4.4.4 immediately. No 5.0 or 5.0.1 updates yet but my nexus 4 is already on 5.0.1? Guess we'll have to wait.
OTA Update Working now
Hey guys OTA update is working now...
Were you previously under kitkat or did you get the OTA update from 5.0 to 5.0.1?
EDIT: Nevermind (at least for me), tired of waiting, I finally decided to manually load the OTA by following the tutorial here:
http://www.talkandroid.com/guides/b...on-your-nexus-device-download-links-included/
The funny thing is that after my phone was manually updated to 5.0, I automatically received the OTA for 5.0.1

[Completed] Nexus 5 not getting Lollipop

Hello,
I bought a Nexus 5 32GB not long ago. As of 1/14/2015, I'm still on Android KitKat, not getting the update. Tried checking manually. Any help?
Well theres no way of forcing the ota update to work. It happens when it happens. If you wish you can manually update by flashing the factory images via fastboot.
there's a helpful thread you can look at to show you how to do it here
Good luck

How long to wait for the OTA update

Hello everyone . I have since a few hours my new OPO (the Cyano's logo is gone). I have no intention for now to root it and I would to take it full stock for a while. I wondered , however, how long will I have to wait for the update notification to COS12 . Currently the version of Cyan I have is : 11.0 - XNF9XBS28K . I expected to see the update notification soon after boot , but after 5 hours still nothing . What experience have you had about it?
Just got two of these myself and from what I understand that is a bad build that should not have been shipped. I solved by unlocking my bootloader and flashing an older official zip. Then my phones took the OTA. I did hear on the Oneplus forums on their site that OnePlus is looking into it. If you are not familiar with flashing you should contact support.
You don't need to unlock your bootloader to flash official updates, just download to your phone and flash with the stock recovery. But why not unlock the bootloader, you'll regret having it locked if something goes wrong in future, trust me.
Thank you. When I wrote, I didn't still read that opo can be upgraded without having to unlock and root. So I have installed the upgrade simply downloading cm12s and rebooting in recovery (fine!). After that I received the last delta update available. @walter: I played with ROM, kernel and so on for many years. Now my job doesn't leave me much free time. At this moment the phone looks solid and stable, so I prefer simply use it as a dummy i-user and wait comfortably in a chair the new update. But I bought an OPO, so in the future, who knows, I might get back to powerly use it!

POCO X3 NFC stuck on MIUI 12.0.8.0 Android 10, can't seem to update

Hi, wondered if someone could help. I have just got my phone back from the repair shop and it has been factory reset, which is fine, but it has now got an out of date OS etc on.
I've tried downloading all sorts of ROMS from the xiaomifirmwareupdate page, and it just keeps failing whichever I choose. Wondered if one of you clever souls can help?
Many thanks!
Try to flash the latest MIUI via MiFlash-Tool...

Hi thanks I run the tool yesterday but it told me I have to wait 128 hours
Hello,
Same problem here.
I updated my X3 NFC EEA as soon as updates went out, so I'm on latest (12.5.4 R).
My wife didn't update and now she's stuck on 12.0.8.0Q.
I understand I could update with Mi Flash Tool, but doesn't it require to unlock device for fastboot (and then need to wipe) ?
tbh, you're all not stuck with 12.0.8.0. eventually you'll get the update. because not all phone/device got the update at the same time. some device got the update and some others not yet, i think you just need to wait

I hope you're right, as Xiaomi doesn't roll out updates for everyone at same time, but 12.0.8.0Q is pretty old (february).

I did. I tried it again just now, it says wait 96 hours grrrr
best bet is to keep trying the updater every few hours . im on the latest version now and not once was i notified of an update , just kept checking . also try clearing the updaters cache / data , i remember that tip from my note 5 days lol
I confirm. My device is Poco X3 Indian (Non-NFC. Karna codename). Software stuck v12.0.10.0 and last update time is April. I cant flash any roms. I must wait unlock the bootloader.

Question Android 12 update

Anyone that already got the update can comment any improvements or problems you are experiencing?
I have big battery drain with Android 12
My experience with Xperia phones is that there is often a period of increased battery drain the weeks after an Android version upgrade. Sometimes, I needed a factory reset to make it go away. But, I didn't have to do that when my 5 II went from Android 10 to 11.

Nope. And after the 12 update, phone doesn't get warm when charging
Any advice to get the update on the states?
I'm super curious how to get the update, OTA has nothing and the xperia app tells me I'm updated, but I'm still on Android 11 and https://xpericheck.com/XQ-BC52/23119804 tells me it's been out for weeks. I'm in Denmark so I'm guessing it's the right package in the URL.
Feel like a noob asking but it's super weird if they stagger it so long I think

True that. Also have the XQ-BC52, and I got the update via OTA about two weeks ago, I'm from Sweden. Really nice update since it seems like all the "heating issues" is gone now Now this phone is pure pleasure!

i'm afraid you are forced to flash your update via Newflasher. Probably you got my same problem (but with 5 II): your device don't receive OTA updates at all? If is this the case, then yes, you have to update it manually. Sorry.

Hi and thanks, my 5III did get two security updates so it's able to get OTA.
Interestingly enough the xperia companion also is stuck on Android 11 it seems telling me there is no new update...mmmm I'll wait a bit before trying to flash the official version manually

I made repair fon and get A12 from xperia companion. But its like a factory reset!
so I waited until the OTA update after Android 12 and that brought my 5 III up to 12 and on that OTA version so that was easier
Cheers guys !!
No issues with Android 12. Battery seems a little better. New UI is meh. Not a big upgrade, but not bad.
