Please help me out! So I previously had PA running on my Nexus 5, no problem whatsoever. Then, just recently my phone did not detect my sim card. I tried restoring my old nandroid backup, flashed multiple ROMs, and even restore the phone back to stock, still no progress. I have also tried my brother sim card but still it would not detect. One thing that is major problem is with the stock lollipop update the "cellular network settings" is blank out, so I can't even access the APN setting to input Tmo setting, even with a working sim card in the phone. Could this be a sign that it is a hardware problem and not a software one?
Thank you.

Hello all. I need some help. I recently traveled down to the US, and decided to place my blackberry (rogers) sim card into my fido nexus s, to avoid getting charged on the fido account. everything worked great. Until I came back to Canada, and tried to use the fido sim card. It will not recognize my fido sim anymore, it says emergency calls only and sos over the signal. If I try to edit the apn's they won't save. Thought it was a bad sim, so I went to fido, and asked for another, so they gave me one, and it doesn't work still, and they tried it in a different phone and it worked at the store. so I am lost. If I re insert the rogers sim, I am on the network right away. I called rogers, I called fido, I went down to the fido store in person. I searched the net. I've done a factory reset, I've done restores. I've tried to use unlocking apps from the market. The phone just thinks there is no sim card. I am running miui, and while in the bootloader, the carrier info says that it is at&t... I did flash the rom while in the US to an updated version, with the rogers sim. I have tried to reinstall the rom after that, updated the rom, flashed the kernel and the radio, but with no success. Can anyone please help?
I bought this device less than a month ago from the carphone house when I was in uk. Today it gave me no sim card error suddenly. the device is not modified not flashed. I did nothing to it. I tried reseting the device but still having the same problem. I tried a different sim but had the same problem.
However, what I did notice that the device ask for the PIN of the sim card but as soon as I enter it. it gives me no sim card error
Any suggestion well be hopeful. Sadly I also lost the receipt

Anybody Help
Please anything
Hi, i had the same problem a few days ago, but on another situation. My phone was rooted and i tried to install "original firmware" to get rid of CWM and root, but at 42% of the process"Windows just crashed the LG updater", i managed to restore my old ROM trought CWM but got a sim card error, everything else was working but telephony.
Just tried it again like on this simple tutorial and got the original firmware installed again, and for my surprise telephony was back.
If you lost you receipt and dont live where you bought your phone, maybe this is what you can try.

Hello all,
I recently got the XT926 from Ebay. The phone had CM 10.2 ROM installed when I got it and it could detect my SIM card. Everything worked almost fine. I was able to access the internet through HSDPA and I was able to make calls. However I had issues with not being able to send SMS and MMS. I couldnt save the SMSC number so I decided to install the stable release of CM 10.1. I wiped, and flashed CM10.1 using TWRP that already existed in the phone. Now, after that, the phone will no longer detect any SIM cards no matter what operator or ROM I use. I live in Sweden and I'm using the GSM network. Wifi and all other functions work fine.
I even installed the official VRZ_XT926_9.8.1Q-79-1_CFC.xml but still its not able to bypass the activation screen because it wont detect any sim cards.
Any idea or suggestions on how to fix this?
Thanks in advance
So, recently I bought this beautiful phone that came pre rooted with cuoco92's rom. I put my SIM in and was ready to go. But I messed up with titanium backup and deleted the system phone app.I could still call and all, but the menu while in call was gone so I could not hang up etc.
Then I obviously decided to re-flash the rom. Problem is when I did so, the phone's signal icon was grey with a small x . From there it went downhill. I flashed the rom and some others multiple times, I even returned to stock rom+recovery, and the problem changed from what I described to a simple No SIM Card.
The phone now does not acknowledge the SIM when i put it in at all, while before it did know it had a sim inside, it just would not work.
Is there any universal troubleshoot process I can try before contacting the shop and sending the phone back? Could this be hardware?
Note that today I changed my micro sim to nano sim since the phone takes both, in hope of solving it. But it did not work on both slots.
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
Verify that your IMEI(ESN) is still intact, if it is gone then you will have to restore it, the method to restore IMEI is different for each device so you'll have to research how to restore it on your device. I'm not saying that is your issue, I'm just saying it is something you need to check before going further because if it is gone then nothing else you do to troubleshoot/repair is going to work.

The experts there may be able to help. Good luck.
I checked my imei with the *#06# thing, it is there..
I recently bought a used Samsung Galaxy S10 (SM-G973F).
At first glance the phone was in excelent shape. The SIM Card was connecting to the mobile network, and calls, internet connection, etc was OK.
But then, I found out that the phone had been rooted. Probably, by the seller. In pannic, I rushed to unroot flashing the stock Rom.
Here what I did:
1- Forgot to check my precisly CSC code and assumed ZTA (cause I'm from Brazil, and the phone is from carrier "Claro")
2- Downloaded the stock rom using Frija
3- Using Odin 3.14.1 flashed the device.
The previous rooted system was on Android 10 and One UI 2.5. With this new rom went to Android 11 and One UI 3.0.
The problem:
The phone recognizes the SIM Card. But it simply doesn't connect to the network. When I try to make a call it says: " not registered on network"
The phone DO recgonizes the SIM Card. On the SIM Card Manager shows my carrier name (Vivo) and my phone number. Also, the SIM app is showing on the app list.
Things I tried:
Rebooting the phone
Changin the SIM Slot
Testing the SIM on another device to ensure it was working
Checked if the IMEI wasn't missing/undefined. It is not, the IMEI appears to be untouched
Checked if the IMEI had been blacklisted. It's not.
Flashed SEVERAL different stock ROMS with different CSC (ZTO, ZTA, ZVV)
Try to manually select the network. This also throws an error saying "error while searching for network"
I'm really desperate and don't know what to do anymore.
No one have a clue either? :C

How to Fix 'Not Registered on Network' on Android
Here is how to fix 'Not Registered On Network' error on Android. Mostly error occurs on Samsung phones, but this solution works for all android phones.

Wow,
This is exactly like my S10 right now.
At first, all is good, the signal was great, all working well, except cant connect to samsung pass and samsung health because it was root.
then i brought to sellular shop service, to flash the phone.
Then, “not registered to network” happened. The signal ok, the phone able to read dual simcard, but “emergency call only” and if i try to search network manually, “error while searching for network”
And the sellular shop service have no idea how to fix after they reflashed and try to fix it for several days.
Have you found any solution to fix your pho?
pls advice…

So, were you able to find a solution for this problem? I also bought a Note 9 N960F/DS recently and found out it was actually a N960N model that was changed to N960F/DS. So I did exactly what you did, I flashed the original stock rom, N960N, but now phone will not connect to network. I also did hard reset, reflash other stock roms, nothing changed. Anybody with insight should please give us some pointers.
