Just complete the installation and it works on my D838. The language is English.
Here is the steps.
1.Download the zip(FAT32) above and put into internal SD Storage.
2.Reboot to recovery mode.
3.Install zip from /sdcard then reboot. It's done.
I just installed the Tweaked 20C firmware for D838 twn and it's working fine but when I rebooted into recovery it was unable to access the external SDCard. The 64GB card I have is formatted exFAT. Is there any log that I could post that might help resolve this?

hi, is all the functions working? most important for me is backup restore.. I'm afraid to flash any rom if I can not backup my current ROM.. I'm on 4.4 stock rooted. we are kind of lacking full guide or tutorial compare to other phone.. I'm on d838 32gb
Anyone tried it with d838 10b? Perhaps the 16gb?
Also (sorry if this question is obvious), I'm currently on kk 4.4.2. If i installed this recovery, do I have to flash lollipop at the same time? Meaning, Is there a problem with running this recovery with 4.4.2?

Phone storage is missing after flashing
Dear Sir,
I successfully flashed the rom for my Q3000 (S011_25022014). What I did simply was replaced/merged the ROM contents as provided as per your post (only the ebr 1 and ebr2 files). After that when I started my phone the Internal storage has increased but the Phone storage is not accessible.
When I try to see it in settings It shows Mount Phone Storage option, when I click on that it tries to open and calculate the storage but goes in a few seconds with the message - Phone storage safe to remove.
Connecting it to computer as USB Storage displays the message that "the disk needs to be formatted before you can use it". Show the SD Card contents although.
Can this storage be accessed back? Or it is supposed to work like that only?

I followed the details in your link but I don't know where I should select the internal storage either 2.73 or 7 gb internal space) can you kindly help?
( Now chose your storage requirement, 193,246 or 273 or 7z which corresponds to 1.93, 2.46, 2.73 and 7 GB internal space. Both and respective EBR1 and EBR2 has to loaded and please take care. )

2.Is is required to root the device for the same?
3.Can i be able upgrade regular software updates from xolo after doing this.

Root the device, use philz latest recovery, then use rom edit for 8/16
Gb and select partition size, press ok n reboot to recovery. Now select factory reset n reboot. Done , it will take time as long as the 1st boot. Chk the phone storage n app storage. Prefer the partition size 4/5 gb.:thumbup::thumbup:

how can we flash xolo q3000 app installation memory with kitkat 4.4.2
sir i have read the posts regarding flashing the memory of xoloq3000 to 7 gb internal storage which seems very impressive.
currently my device zolo q3000 is running on kikat final version 4.4.2 by xolo , but as the problem prevails that the internal storage has not been increased due to some random reason.
i though of flashing the phone following the instructions which were provided earlier but the kernel version dated late 2013 begged the question that would this flash work or would it result in most dreaded outcome of bricking the phone?
not having much of the knowledge about how it works , there should be no harm in asking the experts about the solution or atleast the answer to the above question.
therefore, it's my very humble request to the experts please guide me and people like me through the flashing process of zolo q3000 running on kitkat 4.4.2 ver-28102014.
lastly a heartful thanks to all those who put in their important time in post solutions to problems faced by us technically challenged population.

have u taken any backup in recovery before flashing this??
If yes then restore
if not then u need to flash whole rom all over again.
If u want Jelly bean then read this
if kitkat read this.

SIr, Can you please explain in detail for a beginner. I have downloaded all the driver files & flash tool exe in my laptop. Do i need to connect the xolo q3000 to laptop. In laptop i clicked the flash tool exe & select this file "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" from XOLO_Q3000_S003_15102013 directory. May be i am wrong & please explain step by step. can it be possible for xolo q3000?

I flashed this kernel. After installation there was a drastic change. My phone showed internal memory as 0.00B and sdcard folder was changed to sdcard0 and it contains no file
Also when I connect phone to pc I can see no files in sdcard I.e internal memory folder.
Is there any possible way to remove this kernel

Maybe try flashing MoshKernel. Dunno if it works though.
1.Factory reset
2.flash stock rom with odin
3.Factory reset+wipe cache partition
4.Reboot and that's it.Everything is alright

Hey madrista can I get my data,apps back by doing so
I have done a backup after installing this kernel and when i stuck at rebooting i did factory reset is that backup useful or i have lost the apps and data.

I tried the grimlock 5.0 kernel and the Katkiss Lollipop with Data2SD. The dat2sd is working fine since my random write speed is incredibly high and I know that I'm using my microsd as my data partition because capacity of my mircosd is different from the internal storage capacity.
the problem is, as I checked my file manager, there was only 1 device storage mounted. If you use Data2Sd shouldn't there be 2? /sdcardi and /sdcard? I hope there's already a solution to this problem because my mircrosd capacity is only 16gb and my tf is 32gb if I can't use my internal storage I think I might revert back to the default kat kiss kernel and not use data2sd instead.

It's /data and /datai. Go to the root/top level directory in your file manager and you should see a datai folder.

Thank you!! I found it.
Also, I would like to ask. When i was using the data2sd the random write in androbench shoots up to 350mb/s but when i tried to turn off fsync using trickster mod. It drastically decreases the random write to like 0.50 mb/s.
Is it suppose to be like this? If i'm using data2sd should fsync be on?
Hello,
i used Grimlock 4.0 with CM11 in the past and it's working great with up to 1,8Ghz.
Now i use the Grimlock 5.0 with CM12 and i see the 1,8Ghz but i can only use 1,5Ghz.
I tried to set the CPU with Antutu - it shows the set to 1,8Ghz but CPU goes never over 1,5Ghz.
Any Ideas?

Sd Cart external_sd working in cwm!
Dear All G pro 2 lovers,
I just found a way to access external-sd card for backup and restore. Follow the following steps:
1. BACKUP your external_sd contents to a pc, etc.
2. Assuming that the sd card is inserted, in cwm go to mount and storage
3. Then click format external_sd
4. format it to exfat (depending on the recovery support for FAT 32 or Exfat)
5. Voila! Backup and restore and Cwm now recognizes the external_sd for you backups galore
Hello All. I’ve run into an issue with my new Moto G4+. I rooted the phone a couple of weeks ago and all was well with that. I downloaded the AOKP rom last Friday and was going to flash it over the weekend. To my surprise, TWRP does no see my external SD card so I can’t do a backup. The internal storage does not have enough space to backup. I have the 16gb model. I can see/use the SD card with no problem when the phone is running. I’ve searched the forums for a solution, but the only thing I’ve found is to format the SD card as internal storage. However, folks seem to be really, really divided on this solution. I really want to flash AOKP, but I need to do a Nandroid backup first. I tried doing an on-line backup with the TWRP app, but it doesn’t provide me with an MD5 for verification. Any help with getting TWRP in recovery mode to see the SD card would be greatly appreciated. TWRP file manager and terminal allow me to see the card (sdcard1 is its name in TWRP recovery), but it does not show up for "select storage" or "mount" options.
