Hi All,
Sorry if my question its not related to our oneplus one phone. But I just wondering, any steps to sync the personal dictionaries in our keyboard to google or another? I always input some of new word as my personal dictionaries when I'm typing with keyboard, it can make me more fast n easy for typing.
But every time I do clean flash for new ROM, my dict always gone even I'm already back up my keyboard with titanium backup and restore it.
Any suggestion?

This is something that has annoyed me in Palm and continues to do so here (though not as badly).
What I would like is to be able to search my Chinese contacts by entering just the pinyin for the contacts, as opposed to having to open up Pocket Informant, grab the search bar, and enter characters (this is still better than Palm OS, where I had to scroll to the bottom of the list to find them...).
If anyone knows of a way to do this, ideally one that would work with Pocket Informant, that would be fantastic! I assume that such a thing must exist as part of a Chinese ROM, so could that not be extracted and ported to an English ROM? If it doesn't exist, then I'm probably SOL, but there we go.
For reference, I'm using a Treo Pro, default unlocked ROM, with PI8 as my default contacts manager.
Thanks in advance
Hello. I have an HTC One S with Cyanogenmod 11S installed. I came to CM from HTC Sense 5 and backed up all application data with Online Nandroid Backup and Helium. I also have an HTC keyboard dictionary file (*.htcudb). So after changing Android versions I successfully restored all my application data with Helium. But cannot restore user dictionary and SMS database.
When I select SMS in Helium, it starts the restore procedure but no old SMS messages appear in SMS app.
The Keyboard dictionary file is invisible for standard keyboard at all. It just keeps saying "No user dictionary found in Downloads folder" or similar.
Is there any solution for these two things? Thank you!
Guys
I just moved to a Nexus 6 where I'm using the stock AOSP keyboard. When I go to swype settings on my old S4, it shows me personal dictionary but no way to export it to a text file that I can use on my nexus 6. Any ideas on where swype stores this file in the system or any other tricks I can use to do this?
Thanks
Swype's personal dictionary is linked with the email address you put in it. Then your words are synced to their servers and re download when you change devices. So the best way is to use the Swype app on your Nexus 6 too.
You can't import it as a text file and mount it in the stock keyboard app as far as I know.
Hope I helped.
Hi all,
Making this post with a totally frustrated mind. I am looking for an app which will allow me to select few contacts and export them to csv or any other format which can be imported latter. Tried several apps. Not even single one does the job.! Please suggest an application which does this job.
OR
I am even ready to remove my unwanted crappy contacts. But still can't find an app which allows me to select multiple contacts and remove them together.!
I am wondering years older Android lacks this feature.
I am on Android 5.0+ AOSP ROM. Device is nexus 4 (I know it doesn't matter. Just saying)
Any idea about this ?

Why aren't you using the build-in contact app? You can select several contacts to delete/export them by pressing the menu button and selecting the delete/export button and then selecting contacts.
Hi. I backed up keyboard user dictionary form Nexus 5 but after enabling sync on Galaxy 7 nothing happens. No account prompt, no sync, no dictionary
For somebody managed to restore user dictionary?
Same issue here. Haven't found a fix yet.
I use SQLite debug application to move google keyboard dictionary between phones. Search User Dictionary application. Get the user_dict.db file. Backup to SDcard1. Restore this in another phone.
