[KERNEL]Htc-Pico kernel 2.6.38.6 with ext2,3,4 support
PLEASE MAKE A FULL NANDROID BACKUP BEFORE I CAN'T ASSUME A BRICK
Well , I post here my work :
-clean-update.zip :
This is an official update , I just remove some command in the update.script because I cannot install it : I use a custom boot and recovery !!
Well , I modify the update.script and apply it : It work !!
Made some test : it patch some official apk and files , and upgrade boot + recovery + hboot +radio
You don't lose data , you have a new official rom : stock boot , recovery + new hboot +new radio
You lose custom boot , recovery and ext partition .
Your ext partition is on your sdcard but the stock kernel have no ext support
If you have unlocked your pico it's great you don't lose it and you can flash a custom boot or recovery
WARNIG : IF YOU USE AN EXT PARTITION YOU LOSE YOUR DATA BECAUSE YOU LOSE CUSTOM BOOT
MAKE A FULL BACKUP WITH NANDROID OR OTHER TITANIUM ...
IF YOU USE THIS UPDATE :
1) full backup with titanium or other and recovery mode -> nandroid backup
2) apply update
3) reboot the phone : it will reboot in 3 time
4) reboot in fastboot mode
5) Now we apply a fake flash to boot with over-recovery.img :
Code:
fastboot boot /full/path/to/over-recovery.img
The phone reboot in recovery
6) nandroid backup
Like this you have a stock rom with update
7) That's all
You can now flash boot system recovery , install rom , make what you want you can back to official rom (not system !!)
Revert back to stock rom with latest update :
-new boot.img with wifi modules
-new recovery
-new radio.img
-new hboot.img , always unlocked
-patch system update
Find it here
With this package you have a full clean rom
- zImage.7z :
The last kernel compiled on the source code by Htc-dev (2.6.38.6)and mod by me :
-Ext2,3,4 filesystem support , if your sdcard have an ext* partition , you cane move your data partion on it , like this you can install more applications .
You can use app2sd,link2sd ,etc,...
-Overclocked kernel , you can now manage your gouvernor , the cpu is boosted : 600MHz -> 800MHz .
- modules.7z :
All modules compiled with the last kernel .
- overboot.7z :
The last boot.img overclocked and ext support .
You can test it with :
Code:
fastboot boot /full/path/to/overboot.img
You can install it with:
Code:
fastboot flash boot /full/path/to/overboot.img
If you install it you must add all module or only bcm4330.ko and kineto_gan.ko in the /system/lib/modules directory
- over-recovery.7z :
The chinesse clockword recovery , mod by me with my kernel you can now more quickly make your backup and make a full nandroid backup with ext partition support !
You can test it with :
Code:
fastboot boot /full/path/to/over-recovery.img
You can install it with:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery /full/path/to/over-recovery.img
For a full nandroid backup you must install it
- install-over-boot.zip :
The all in one package , copy it on sdcard , reboot in recovery and install the boot.img with all the module , that's all

Thanks but I activate a ftp account to free.fr , when this is done I'll post the link to it.
But my link work well , I try it again and all is good , I'm on ubuntu lucid , maybe your antivirus don't like *.7z or install it but my archives don't be corrupted !
Thanks for your proposition but I must manage my work the most easly possible for me , I've made a lot of zImage and more (bash scripts , tools , and binaries ...) and share it with some friend
Really thanks , are you tried to re-download my archive ?
Here the md5sum :

AAAAAAAAAAAAA I bypass the limitation , I can now post direct link , great !!!!
You can test it now
Great !
Ahh, Thanks downloaded successfully.
Now trying your instructions in the first post to flash.....................
Another proposal, as i have my main device as Dell Streak5, so htc explorer is not much important to me even if it bricks. so here is propose is , If beta tester needed i can be the first one u can remember
I will post back as i successfully flash
Please TRY THIS BEFORE FLASH IT !!
fastboot boot /full.path/to/boot.img
or
fastboot boot /full.path/to/recovery.img
I don't want someone tell me it brick the pico , it's not the goal
I love gnu/linux , I love to dev a lot of application , I love to help everyone I can , I'm a "cool" man
Don't tell me you want to destroy your phone just to test , it's not something to do
Try it and tell me
I've made my own rom too , some update.zip to flash boot + recovery and install app2sd
I must have some fellback to know if I can post all my work .
Well be patient

Tryd flashing before u posted this (sorry to me). with the help of this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735660
and below is the error i am getting to flash zImage
HTML:
HT1A1VN09469 fastboot
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>fastboot boot zImage
creating boot image...
creating boot image - 2897920 bytes
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.717s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: reproduce boot image with on-flash ramdisk error)
finished. total time: 0.735s
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>
You don't do what I tell to you :
Your command rebuilt the boot.img with the zImage :
C:\android-sdk-windows\tools>fastboot boot zImage creating boot image... creating boot image - 2897920 bytes downloading 'boot.img'... OKAY [ 0.717s] booting... FAILED (remote: reproduce boot image with on-flash ramdisk error) finished. total time: 0.735s
It's not the good way , you must test the boot.img , and not recreate it :
fastboot boot /full/path/to/boot.img
To do what you try the zImage and the boot.img use by the pico must have be build in the same way
are these all commands i have to run/flash. or is there any other i have to do.
-boot.img :
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot /full/path/to/boot.img
fastboot flash boot /full/path/to/boot.img
adb shell mv /system/lib/modules/bcm4330.ko /system/lib/modules/bcm4330.bak
adb push /full/path/to/bcm4330.ko /system/lib/modules/bcm4330.ko
-recovery.img :
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot boot /full/path/to/recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
but i didnt understand what i should do with zImage??
In a word : NOTHING
To use zImage you must dump boot.img or/and recovery.img , extract it , remove the old zImage and rebuild the boot.img/recovery.img .
When this is done you try it with :
fastboot boot /full/path/to/boot.img
or
fastboot boot /full/path/to/recovery.img
And if you like this you can flash :
fastboot flash boot /full/path/to/boot.img
or
fastboot flash recovery /full/path/to/recovery.img
If you do what you says you have my kernel :
kernel version :
2.6.38.6 [email protected]
To just try my kernel on boot :
fastboot boot /full/path/to/boot.img
To just try my kernel on recovery :
fastboot boot /full/path/to/recovery.img
Thanks sir for so much help.
Heres what i did
flashed recovery in ur 3rd post
flashed boot.img in 3rd post
push ***.ko file in post.
so i guess now i have ur's evrything (completed job?)

when u will be releasing ur custom rom??
---------- Post added at 08:29 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:22 PM ----------
After every flashing, i.e. getting ur kernel on board. when i try to mount ext3 partition in link 2 sd . it looks like it will take years to mount.
stuck on please wait Ok figured out , ext3/4 partitions nt able to mount.
i already have an a fat32 partition and moved apps using links to sd...(so i dont need the custom kernel as of now) i came across this post looking for overclocking ready kernels.. so let us know when u manage to successfully overclock the device.. and post screenshots of ur custom rom if possible..

Now open your New folder and copy the (karnel).go to TWRP Folder and paste it there and click on Replaced...
Now again go to new folder and Copy

Now again go to TWRP Folder...Then in Ramdisk folder...Then go to etc folder and open (recovery.fastab) in notepad...
You will see sometings like this ->

/recovery emmc /dev/recovery flags=display="Recovery";backup=1
/misc emmc /dev/misc flags=display="Misc";backup=1
/nvram emmc /dev/nvram flags=display="Nvram";backup=1
/uboot emmc /dev/uboot flags=display="Uboot/LK";backup=1

/usb-otg auto /dev/block/sda1 /dev/block/sda flags=display="USB-OTG";storage;wipeingui;removable)
__________________________
First find this line ->
system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p5 flags=display="System";backup=1
Here paste the mmcblk no of -> [email protected] you copied in notepad..
Like my [email protected] blk no is -> mmcblk0p4...
So just replaced mmcblk0p4 with mmcblk0p5 and the line will look like. ->
system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p4 flags=display="System";backup=1
Do same with this lines ->
/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk06 flags=display="Cache";backup=1
In this line just replaced your [email protected] blk no...like myone is -> mmcblk0p5...
So the line will look like this ->
cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk05 flags=display="Cache";backup=1
Now search this line ->
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 flags=display="Data";backup=1
Here just replaced your [email protected] blk no...like myone is -> mmcblk0p6
So the line must look like this ->
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6 flags=display="Data";backup=1
Now search this line ->
/emmc vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p8 flags=display="Phone
and Replaced your [email protected] blk no...like myone is -> mmcblk0p7
so the line must be look like this ->
/emmc vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p7 flags=display="Phone
all done now save it...
Now go to TWRP folder again...and open Default.prop...this file are same like your build.prop...So change this as your edit your build.prop...but don't change all line...just product names,etc,etc...
N.B -> Sometimes you may not find this file (ueventd.goldfish.rc)...If you don't find it in your unpacked TWRP,then don't copy it from Stock Recovery and just ignore this file...I hope you understand...

Hello Guys
In this tutorial i will tell you how you can downgrade back to Lollipop from Marshmallow
You can use this method to flash 360OS Lollipop also from Marshmallow. i.e 3.18.xx kernel
*IT WILL WORK ON BOTH NOTE 3 & NOTE 3 LITE
TUT-1
Requirements
TWRP Recovery on any MM Rom
Brain
SP flashable of CoolUI 6
[System.img | Boot.img | ik.bin | trustzone.bin | logo.bin |
TUTORIAL:----
First things first Change the .bin extension to .img then only TWRP will read these files
Now you need a Lollipop based TWRP -
Boot To TWRP
Make Proper Backup if you want to of System , tee1 , tee2 , frp , secro , logo , nvram , nvdata , Data (if you want - it will occupy most Space ) , boot , logo , recovery.
After Backup
Click on Install
Select 'Install Image'
Now locate to where you Extracted your Lollipop - COOLUI 6 Files.
After Locating Install one by one to these mentioned PARTITIONS:-
BOOT.IMG >> BOOT
TRUSTZONE.IMG >> TEE
IK.IMG >> UBOOT
LOGO.IMG >> LOGO
SYSTEM.IMG >>SYSTEM
Flash SuperSU
First boot will take 5 minutes don't worry.
DONE!
*END*
WANT TO FLASH 360OS LOLLIPOP FROM MARSHMALLOW ( KERNEL 3.18.XX ) ??
Follow TUT-1 but don't flash System and Boot but flash 360OS.zip ROM and flash those mentioned Partitions
.
.
.
.
==============UPDATE==================
Not indeed - but if you want to flash Secro partition use this method to flash Secro.img. First, copy Secro.IMG of lollipop to sdcard and boot to TWRP.
NOW,
To flash Secro you can use terminal TWRP ,
Type ::::-----
Code:
"dd if=/secro.img of=/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.o/by-name/secro"

Without a backup it's hard to restore your efs/imei.
Have s look at this guide:
[GUIDE] Recover phone from a formated /efs partition
I'm just writting this because i've recently had this problem. I managed to sort it out by my own but didn't really find it written anywhere, just bits and pieces scavenged from so many pages that might point to a solution (granted, part of my...
forum.xda-developers.com
If you use Repartition Tool then revert it back to its original (pls find its thread) before flashing its stock firmware (you may use other country firmware). I restore my own when flashing stock rom from samfirm (pls. flash updated firmwares using odin).
After 4Months of no mobile data I Successfully legit Restore my EFS Files/SerialNumber/Baseband.
So Here's the step it's very very simple
1). Download Custom ROM name Arrow OS.
Link https://sourceforge.net/projects/ar...x/GSI/27_Jan_2020/system_arm64_a.zip/download
2). Download Project Treblue.
Link https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/treble-arm64-vendor-project-treblue-for-g610x.4098877/
3). Download CreateVendor.zip.
Link https://drive.google.com/drive/mobile/folders/1aX0WBy9juWZpIlFWTw9L6P_PR46JCj0H?usp=sharing
4). Download UniversalRepatitioner
Link https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...epartition-script-for-vendor-support.4143541/
After you download all the files above follow this steps
1). Reboot to Recovery
2). Flash CreateVendor_2.0.zip
3). Wipe All Include/Exclude Vendor and Internal Storage
Note before step 4 : Flash Universal Repartitioner if System Partition is less than 4GB see recovery log for the size
Edit: BTW wipe all partition as universalrepartitioner sad in the log.
4). Flash Arrow OS 10 that you've downloaded earlier after flashing Rom
5). Flash Project Treblue
Optional: Resize System Partition in Wipe>AdvanceWipe>RepairOrChangeFS
6). Reboot
Edit: I'm the one who created this thread but different account!
And As I promised I reply to this if I fix or restore the problem.

First off this tablet is Chinese clone i think its from Alibaba
this is my first android project i flashed it, then rooted it then created a ClockWorkMod Twrp recovery img,
before this i backed it up, well i thought i did,
i used MTK DROID tool and Sp flash tools to backup
not knowing much i backed up these files you can see i didnt do a full backup (no preloader.bin, firmware.info or file.md5)
Spoiler: files i backed up
boot.img
ebr1
ebr2
expdb
recover.img
frp
logo.bin
MBR
misc
Mt6952_Android_scatter.txt
nvram.bin
pro_info
protect_f
protect_s
seccfg
secro.img
system.img
uboot.bin
i wanted to install LineageOS
but it twrp was having trouble and wouldn't mount /system dir so i googled and found a few guides.
Spoiler: Guide i followed
Reboot your device into TWRP again.
Navigate to Wipe > Advance Wipe > Data, and choose Repair or Change File System.
Press Repair File System to see if this fixes the issue. If not, continue.
Press Change File System, choose Ext2, and swipe to confirm.
Now switch back to Ext4 and swipe to confirm.
Go back to TWRP main menu, then the Mount menu, and check if your partitions can be mounted now
it worked it Mounted /system and i did what i need but when i rebooted it was stuck in bootloop, so i tried to to reflash boot.img/recovery.img to restart but nothing was working happening. so in a dumb moment i chose format+download option in SP Flash tools, and click it and i think it may may of deleted the preloader.bin :
so either its a Corrupted/Missing Preloader or when i did the stuff in twrp it screwed something like the Directories???
i have tried to find the rom/firmware but since it a china device its hard to find any info
so i would love someone that has this just laying around or what not, to if they could do a full backup i would love to unbrick it.
here is a guide how to full backup a mtk device
