Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong section. Anyway, I have decided to create my own custom ROM and today I setup the build envirnment and downloaded the source etc. Now, I have a few questions:
1. I just cherrypicked something from another ROM and I'm being told I'm not in a project branch. Is that okay or was I supposed to create one?
2. I noticed many other popular ROMS have a gerrit page that shows the changes that have been made. Is there any way I can access something like that with or my ROM?
Thanks in advance!
Sir,
Please remember that here isn't the right place for such a questions/share because isn't an help desk.

Hey guys. Can anyone help me finding an Android 4.4.2 KitKat ROM for a Prestigio MultiPhone 7600 DUO? The only thing I found, is this http://www.442kitkat.info/mp3-0/prestigio-multiphone-7600-duo-6205.html
But when I try to download the ROM, it's asking for some survey or something, and there's actully no survey, just nothing happens. sigh.
any owners of this phone here? thx in advance.

The Purpose of XDA Assist [Please Read]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The mission of XDA Assist is to provide basic help to those who have tried searching but can't find what they are looking for and need assistance. This is not a "helpdesk" providing technical assistance but more to point you in the correct direction with your problem. Perhaps you can't find posts on how to root your phone, install custom recovery or maybe you have questions about how to navigate and use features on the site.
Our XDA Assist team will give you links to threads/forums that are relevant to your problem. You may be pointed towards guides and instructions that can be quite complex, so you will still need to read carefully and be cautious before attempting to make software changes to your device. It is essential you are in the correct forum for your device model; what works for one can ruin another.

Hey guys,
So I am thinking of porting a custom rom for my MT6572 device which I am sure you have never heard of: QMobile A170. I already have it rooted using Farmaroot 1.9.3 (thankgod for generic tools) and seeing as there are no roms for this specific model out there, was thinking of porting one myself. So here are my queries.
1. Which ROM do you suggest I port (in terms of features, ui, stability and chance of success etc)? Where can I find an android 4.4+ rom? I only found one but it has an annoying dev picture everywhere: droidbuzzz.blogspot(dot)com/2014/10/mt6572-custom-rom-pure-l-custom-rom-for(dot)html
2. Which porting guide do i follow for MT6572 porting? there are alot of guides out there, and more alarmingly, with different steps and procedures.
I had this in mind: en.miui(dot)com/thread-32469-1-1(dot)html
3. Should I use a porting tool or something?
4 Any tips, wise words etc?

Hello friends,
I have a broadcom based device which I would like to reset to its original stock rom. I am running Windows 8 64 bit. When I am installing the drivers mentioned in forumms on xda, it fails. Now i am stuck with a partially working device. Can anyone tell me what should I do to make these drivers work? Kindly check the attached image.
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device and issue.
I see you've already asked about this in one thread. If that doesn't help you, you can ask for help here,

Good luck!
Thanks for reply

Thank you, there is a thread seperately dedicated for Lava X604. I have messaged the author of thread also, I just want to get the broadcom drivers running so I can reinstall the stock firmware. Any help would be nice.
Then you can post in the thread you discovered, or the section I linked. ?
Hi,
We are currently trying to port CM11 to the Samsung Galaxy Beam Gt-i8530. This phone has practically zero support from developers nor does a device forum exist for it on XDA. We have problems with the camera on CM11. The cam crashes a couple of seconds right after it starts up. I have the logs but I would like to know in which XDA section I should post a specific CM related question. In the general Q&A?
thanks

Thanks. I thought there is another place to look at but I found the general thread for source building which is exactly what I needed.:good:
Excellent, thread closed, thanks.
