[PROJ] Morphing Voice during phone call

Development thread for a software method to morph your voice during a phone call
The idea is to develop a software method which let's you morph your voice during a phone call. There are many ways to achieve this and I am amenable to suggestions.
Since I was not able to find any API which let's you configure the voice or the stream from the microphone or something similar I came up with the idea to write a driver for the microphone, which would give me the ability to change my voice directly within it, but after some research it was clear to me that it can't be that easy.

05.05.2010 - Microphone driver solution died. Researching for a new way...
Windows Mobile doesn't seem to have any influence on the microphone during a phone call. Deeper research about the hardware of the phone is necessary (processors, DSP/MDSP,....).
HELP IS APPRECIATED AND ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME

You've posted in a HD2 specific forum, but that one is specific to Windows Mobile software development.

Device specific
The reason why I posted it here is that I am going to develop the driver on this device (HD2 Leo) and because the only solution so far i figured out is developing a driver, which is device specific.

good idea, i have been after an app similar to the "i am t-pain" (autotune)app from iphone
please can you use autotune?

Fair enough, but surely it wouldn't be a device specific driver to do this? Never mind.

This will be great for extortions. The question is whether we can find a way to disgiuse the phone's ID and location (which can be found using cellular triangulation) otherwise we have achieved nothing here.

lol this would be a fun one... hopefully you can work some magic and create a special treat for us hd2 users

Autotune is an app for iphone, which obviously can't help us here.
In addition autotune doesn't morph your voice during a phone call.
The main problem here is not the morphing itself (such apps already exist for WinMo), but the fact that it needs to be done while you make an active call.

Live morphing during a active phone call would be nice..
There is a software name Voice Twister for Windows mobile which can do live morphing but not during active phone calls..

HTC incredible S -looking for native video calling feature

Hi Experts,
I use HTC Incredible S and looking for native video calling feature which is not available in default calling feature in the Android itself, since the hardware itself supporting video calling.
I thought it will be addressed in the new updates 2.3, but there is not any features which can help in video call.
I posted HTC for this problem, but replied me to wait till next update which is not fixed and they are not sure if this will be addressed. They adviced to use Skype, but I dont want to use any third party application or anything to make video call to make it more expensive & more difficult.
I wish there could be an answer in this XDA forum, so you experts can help me in this. Pls giude if is there any custome updates available. I will be greatful to you for all your help.

[Update] [No Root] WhatsApp Call Feature

The latest WhatsApp feature is generating a lot of duplicate threads on XDA, drowning other threads in the process. Many are also posted in the wrong section. We're closing down all invite threads to keep the clutter down to a minimum. ***UPDATE***​ As of the 21st of February WhatsApp has again paused the roll out of the calling feature, so you cant call a person anymore to activate it. It has also rolled back the version from 2.11.531 to 2.11.527. I will post an update here once the activation process works again. Hopefully the next time we see WhatsApp Call, it'll be in a public release.
Users who have already activated the feature can continue using it.
***​WhatsApp Call has been re-enabled on the newest update of WhatsApp available on the Google Play Store.
Although the feature has not been listed in the What's New list, it has been officially included in the package. However the feature can only be activated if another user who has already activated the Call Feature, calls you first.

I get the call collimation but as soon as I try to call it decry disconnect

Call Recording Feature - India - Must

Dear Experts especially Indian users,
Call recording is a must feature for me due to nature of my profession. I am based out of india.
I have booked redmi k20 pro but i can still cancel the order.
I have compared with oneplus seven.
My requirement is call recording must.
Having gone through tonnes of posts still not clear whether -
1. Does MIUI ( i guess android modified for xiaomi) supports always native call recording?
If yes is it stored in cloud compulsory for synching?
2. Does OnePlus seven in india support call recording after android latest update which disabled call recording bcz of google.
Kindly clarify. Need to decide soon.

While i am also in india i have never used the call recording,how ever it is available on op7.
I just did a test and it was successfull. I am on the latest OS 9.5.7 on op7.
Not sure about disabling of call recording because of an update.

OnePlus 7 does support native call recording & recording quality is good too!
