[Q] Update SU Binary, automatic recovery reboot, unresponsive - Note Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
So, I was perusing my phone when super user popped up and asked me to update my su binary, so I said yes, then it asked me to do it manually or automatically with TWRP or CWM, well, I have CWM installed on my phone, so I hit the automatic button.
The phone reset and rebooted into recovery, only the screen started just flashing a picture of the recovery android, and the phone is completely unresponsive, I have tried resetting the phone with the buttons, and by taking out the battery but it just goes back to automatic recovery which isn't working. I have also tried to access it through my computer but it isn't showing up even when connected to USB.
Has my phone bricked? I am pretty worried, what can I do?
I tried to drain the battery as well, which didn't work.
Thanks so much.

Help Please

I downloaded the z4root app and started it. I started the install for permanent root. It appeared that everything started up fine, a screen came up stating that it was "running exploit in order to obtain root access..." this ran for approximately 10 minutes then stopped processing. The phone is now stuck on the Blue z4mod screen showing no activity. The little circular icon has stopped moving.
I have not done anything to the phone to disturb it, but......
Is it locked up? Should I pull the battery and reset? Not sure, this is my first Droid (Blackberry before).
Some help ASAP to get the phone going again would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Use z4root 1.1.0 instead and it will work immediately. Some bug in newer version causes it to hang like that.
Hey, thanks for the reply. I actually pulled the battery and it reset itself.
I then tried the temporary root and it worked, but...
It said there was a new version of the su binary available. Press ok to attempt to install it automatically. When I pressed ok the message came up
An error occurred and the su was not updated. A zip file (su-2.3.1-bin-signed.zip has been placed on your SDcard, please reboot into recovery mode and flash it to update your su binary.
?
How do I reboot into the recovery mode?
Thanks

[Q] Huawei IDEOS Restore WiFi and adb issues

Hi, rooted my u8150 last night, no problems (except for my antivirus, which wouldn't let it download). Had some issues with backup, but managed to do that through recovery mode using pre-kitchen and by pressing VOLUP + GREEN. Flashed a new ROM after using recovery mode to wipe everything on the phone (or so I thought). Restarted to check how it was going, and found my phone reset to factory default!
Well, not exactly.
Turns out the WiFi displays "error" every time I try turn it on.
Because of the wiping, the only app available that isn't stock is superuser.
Recovery doesn't seem to be possible, as when I try nand restore on recovery mode it comes up with the message "error run nandroid-mobile restore via adb"
Well, seems this is at least a double whammy with problems. I've probably missed something simple, feeling pretty noob right now.
At least I haven't bricked it, mobile coverage still works.
Feel so stupid...

[Resolved] SuperSU Update Then Stuck on CM logo

All was well until this morning I got a notification that SuperSU needed updating. I said yes, and it gave me two options: 'Normal' and TWRP, or something similar. I went for normal. After a few moments a message appeared saying that the update was successful and that I should reboot my phone. I clicked reboot and now the device gets to the animated CyanogenMod logo and stays there forever.
I booted into recovery (by holding the volume down button at the same time as the power button), and from the main TWRP screen have backed up the phone (and copied the contents to an external device) and tried clearing the cache. This has not helped.
Can anyone advise what I could try next please?
UPDATE: Fixed it . I found a copy of UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip in the Download folder of the phone's internal storage, installed that using TWRP and rebooted the device. It has started fine, with the only strange thing being that SuperSU no longer appears in the Android Apps Drawer. Any idea why this might be? Is this likely to be a problem? I'm not sure I fully understand what SuperSU really does.

Question Bricked can't Seem to access anything

Hi everyone.
Last night my phone ran out of power and when I charged it back up it wouldn't boot at all, so this morning I decided to try and fix it but I think I have just screwed it up even more to the point that its completely bricked.
I could still access TWRP and tried to reinstall the firmware and flash TWRP through the checkbox execpt about 1 minute in the screen went off due to the time out, but the screen wouldn't come back on at all so I left it for an hour just in case if it was still running in the background, after this time I hard restarted the phone and entered TWRP again and but it didn't install the firmware properly and my computer wasn't reading the phone properly so as a test I tried to swap bootloader from A to B stupidly and now I can't seem to access anything, only thing I can do is the menu where it says start, power off, recovery mode and restart bootloader. Pressing any of these settings seems to just put me back in to this menu again.
When plugging in the phone in to the PC it make's no noise at all as well.
Have I completely hard bricked my phone? Or is there a way to fix it?
Thanks Ben
All fixed I flashed the RAW firmware

Interface restarting after screen unlock

The phone has completely run out of power.
I charged it up, turned it on. But after I unlock the screen, after a second the interface starts rebooting. That is, not a complete reboot, but exactly the interface, a few times, and then a complete reboot.
I can use the curtain, turn on and off wifi, but until the phone unlocks.
I tried resetting the cache via recovery, it didn't help.
I also put the latest update through odin with save data, that didn't help either.
Really need to save the data of one installed app. Please, if you know what you can try, advise me.
Was thinking of updating one ui via adb sideload in recovery, but don't know how.
