Here you go. Custom recovery for your Lollipop.
Since you have rotted, just enable USB debugging and run d838recovery.bat.
You will have permanent recovery on your Lollipop.
If you want to enter, press volume up and power till korean word appear then release both button.
You are in recovery in chinese language.
Only this recovery can access Ext SD so far. Enjoy.

Enable USB debugging mode and run d838recovery.bat. You will have permanent coustom recovery on your D838 lollipop.
This recovery can access Ext SD card. Enjoy!!!! Please hit thank if it help.

I have used this recovery and ofcause I am not responsible for your phone brick. But it very easy to follow the flashing method. After flash you can translate using google. This recovery quite good. I got it from bbs chinese forum. I use google to translate.

You can use adb for backups. There is the 'adb backup' command that will save a full dump of your user data and apps.
This is the best GUI I've found for it if you are too lazy to use command line:

sure no problem I've just uploaded the recovey I'm using on the 10f software as I can't fine the original link for it, simple enough just download the apk file I've linked install then open the app and click flash F350 recovery don't worry about the f350 it works fine on D838 once done click reboot recovery and your done!

Hi, I have d838 with stock 20a firmware. I rooted it with 1click root, but do not know how and which recovery to install.
I tried F350D838RECOVERY_KK_LOLLIPOP.apk- it said installed ok after grant root access, but when say reboot recovery it stuck at LG logo...
please help...

Move to Q/A section .
U cant install recovery like that , u have to be at 4.4 then root it , and flash recovery , then flash Lolipop rom . Only like that u will be able to go in recovery and flash what ever u like . Search forum before posting . But first of all u must flash KDZ file to your phone to get rid of bootloop .

Download this Package and unpack it.
Enable USB Debugging on GP2
Klick exe in the unpacked zip Folder.

I can't say is the Bootloader really unlocked.
This files are from chinese Forum.
Important is the Recovery and root works.

aha,my cam doesn´t work with the english recovery,with chinese recovery works fine,no idea why.

So you don't know who made this recovery? I would like to know if this is using a KK bootloader or a LP bootloader.

Go to the developer options. You should see something like "superuser". Tap it and choose for apps. Can take screenshoot of developer settings?

It's very simple just flash TWRP last version through fastboot then go to recovery then flash Supersu
Just that's it
No need to wipe anything

Well maybe I'm not sure but yes you need unlocked bootloader (just unlock bootloader and forget it )
Be careful unlocking bootloader remove everything on ur phone including photos..songs... Etc

Well < I know the methods of rooting the opo , but unfortunately the supersu with what I had tried to root made my phone to hang on the boot screen. Guess I used a wrong file. Please someone provide the right link for supersu download which i can use through TWRP

First, download this update.zip and then copy it to your device (internal or MicroSD is allright, up to you)
*You can download file update.zip via attachment below
1. Go to recovery mode. Turn off your F1 Plus, wait for a second and then turn it on again with Power + Volume Down
2. Select language (english of course ahh is up to you)
3. Choose Install from storage and select update.zip
4. Wait the process (below 1 minute) and when it done just reboot system
5. Finishing updating and then check in your app drawer SuperSu should appear
6. Update SuperSU binary if needed
7. Done

Works like a charm. Having recently purchased the phone I didn't want to root it. But after I realized that Oppo released the May firmware (around 1.3 GB) on their website. Everything works as it should. I'm hoping for an official forum with more stuff.

What is FlashFire? I'm new to this, I had a Samsung S3 earlier so CWM was the king. Also, I get notifications for software updates but it just won't download. Even after unrooting and factory reset.

Flashfire is a tool that can flash zip / backup ur phone without unlocking bootloader or install custom recovery.. So u can install xposed.zip.. But there is no one try it for x9009 oppo f1 plus.. Make sure u check ur hardware info first so u download the right thing for ur phone if arm64 u must download for arm64.. Do it on ur own risk..

No brick, no bugs but xposed app do not detect it
There was a link for TWRP in the YouTube video. Anyone tried? If you want to try it's in Chinese but TWRP has a translate option.
I am now able to get OTA after 5th factory reset.
