Facebook messenger's notifications don't appear when I receive a new message on my moto g LTE. Is it an hardware issue (ram full) or a software issue? Is there a way to make it work correctly? Thank you
I noticed this as well on my LTE Moto G
Same here since like 2-3 weeks... notifs come about 2-10 minutes later or not at all. No difference if on wifi or mobile data.
receiving them instantly, with no problem
on 5.0.2 Stock brazil optimized xt1032
Are you guys using greenify to hibernate the messenger app?
I had this problem with apps that ran with the GCM service.
The following link solved it (Root and no Root avaliable), but this should not be treated as a permanent fix.

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem with my Moto G. It keeps telling me message not sent (every maybe 15-20 text messages it adds 1 message not sent) but when I check my messaging app no message has an error sending. Is this a CM specific bug or something? I feel like some of my messages are not going through but I don't know which ones.

I'm getting this exact same behavior on Paranoid Android Beta 5, my Moto G is a Virgin Mobile Canada running on Bell Canada network.
What network are you on? What carrier of Moto G do you have?
P.S. The only way I was able to clear the message was using Handcent SMS, setting Handcent as the default SMS app, and going to
Menu button->More->Undelivered
then clearing the blank undelivered "message" (see screenshot)
But even after clearing it, it came back three days later, blank again.
Help me!
Everyone keeps saying to get the Handcent app and I have but I dont see a "more" button on the menu. Do I have the wrong Handcent app? Am I missing something? I have tried deleting all of my messages all together and everything. I am stuck...
So when running Skype on my galaxy s6 (t-mobile variant but it's an app so I thought it might be all variants with this issue).
It will stay logged in and I will keep receiving messages for a short time. Even when I keep running skype in the background I will not receive notifications after a while like more than 30+ mins.
So, I have to launch the app or go through my recents and it acts as it's signing in and then I get my new messages.
It even says before you log out for the first time that you can stay logged on and keep receiving notifications without consuming the battery (which I think is bull, too).
Anyone else have this issue? Is it the app of the phone? Or the provider? This happens on data or wifi.
Also have same problem, was solved with "clear app data" and login with own account again

I'll try it out, thanks. Did you log in with your microsoft account or skype account, btw?
I believe since you mentioned you are not getting notifications after a while it is related to the same bug as email notifications.
check this out.

Hey guys,
Couple of days ago I have installed the Sultan XDA ROM based on CM13 and Android 6.0.1 and since this time I am experiencing a strange problem with the Facebook messenger and couple of more apps. I can't send messages to anyone using the mobile data, I can only receive and when I am in the main menu it shows the connecting notification but nothing more. This is actually happening on other apps as well like Viber. Initially I thought it is because of some lack of permissions but then I have granted everything possible to the messenger and I still can't chat with my friends over the mobile networks. When I switch to Wi-Fi it works just fine. Anyone else experiencing such a problem? I will be glad for any advices. My phone is One plus One.
[SOLUTION] Check your APN settings and change the used APN. It appears that the ROM has chosen different than the default APN and probably on it the Internet traffic was filtered.
Hey guys..
I recently updated my s6 to the official 6.0.1 (G920FXXU3DPBQ) ota.
since then i am experiencing some really annoying connectivity issues with instant messaging apps like Messenger, WhatsApp and Viber. I am getting disconnected every few seconds. The result is,you can send and reveive a text message with some delay but you can not make a call!
Does anyone face the same problem?
Are there any possible suggestions/solutions?
I would aprreciate any help! Thank you in advance!
So I have a H950 with 5.1.1 AT&T ROM on T-mobile network. I have root and TB to freeze apps for better battery life. I also have xposed with couple of module installed. Everything was working perfect for about a month but for the last couple of days I have problems with texts. I would not receive any texts all day even with good signal. I still get email notifications but not text. I can browse the internet with LTE. When I receive or place a call, all my texts started coming in.
I tried to clear the cache for the message app but still the same, reboot the phone., switched to hangout with the same problem. Anybody seen this?
