after lots of reading i decided to try out cyanogenmod 12!
after full backup (even ta-partition) i downgraded my z3 to .93 and then root it succsesfully with giefroot!
everything went fine until i tryd to install the boot.img over fastboot....
i dont know exactly what went wrong but now the normal boot hangs on the sony sign and if i want to boot into flashmode (vol+ & power on button) it just throws me into fastboot mode! so i kinda stuck here and dont know what to do
how can i get out of fastboot mode? what did i wrong?
please help!
a fastboot devices gives me a device back
an adb not
i hope there is some recovery option from fastboot
It sounds like you didn't unlock your bootloader? If so either try to unlock it with flashtool (just search for a tutorial on XDA) or reflash an official fw with flash tool to recover your device.
You should be able to enter flash mode by just pressing volume down (powered off device) while plugging in the USB port.

Not only does it sound like you have not unlocked the bootloader, but you probably have not backed up your TA, as you said you did that before you downgraded and rooted, however, you have to backup the TA partition AFTER rooting and BEFORE unlocking

Hello Guys.
I have a little problem after succesfull unlocking bootloader and adding a CWM Link. My d2303 has a bootloop , ill try to flash it with flashtool but when i go in flashmode and choose the file phone will go ON without using a power button... Still i can enter in CWM but i cant install a zip with stock 4.4.4 (I dont try older versions yet)
So i cant flash it and now i need help .
@edit: After download stock 4.3 recovery will see rom but cannot flash it cause of error "failed to load keys installation aborted" . Any ideas how to fix it?.
really sorry for my bad eng but i learn it at home alone
You can try to flash stock kernel with Flashtool but using fastboot instead of flashmode. You can try entering fastboot holding Vol + and connecting the phone to PC.

ill try it but when i choose "select system to flash" FT see just *.sin / *.img / *.ext4 and yaffs2 .
@edit: aw my bad i didnt read properly, will try with stock kernel.
@edit2: now bootlooping 1 sec after a home screen.
@edit3: Problem solved, just need to relock bootloader then flash in FT... i dont know the difference but work...
If you relocked bootloader now you can flash it using Sony PS Companion to get a full stock OS with right customization and start from scratch.

My mistake, my bad mistake, I was trying to gain root and to flash a CM rom, but after first successfull flash of a boot.img with fastboot, I have tried to flash the rom with TWRP but my device was recognized as a wrong model, so I couldn't to flash the rom (in settings it was recognized correctly as D6603), so I decided to flash another boot.img, but it was for Lollipop instead Kitkat and now I can't put my device in flash mode or in fastboot mode to flash the correct boot.img or a fw, turning on the Z3 the display lights on and seems to have a bootloop, I see the splashscreen, but nothing else.
Is there a way to recover it?
Thanks in advance.
Hold volume down and connect USB will take u to fastboot. Tried to flash a FTF yet?

Yes, I've tried with volume down (flash mode) and volume up (fastboot mode), nothing seems to works.....
EDIT: wow! now I was able to reboot it into recovery, but I don't know if it's useful, it's the Cyanogen recovery.
EDIT2: Yeaaahhh, from recovery I could reboot it into fastboot mode and to flash the correct boot.img, the device is recovered, I've tried one hour before, sorry to bother the community.
Hi,
this is what happened.
I unlocked the bootloader of my z5, afterwards I flashed the twrp recovery.
After that I rebooted my phone and it only hangs on the kernel screen, it wont enter recovery neither boot into system.
Then I tried to flash the stock rom with flashtool but it wont go into flashmode either.
Tried it even with fastboot mode and nothing.
Any suggestions?

After unlocking the bootloader you should have flashed a custom kernel like Androplus V36 first before flashing the recovery img.
I had a similar case I think but with my old z1 compact. When you connect your phone via usb, is anything happen? What color is the led?
What I did was just make sure fastboot and flashmode drivers are installed. Kept plugging the phone while pressing volume button up and down and keep playing with it.
Make sure battery is fully charged and maybe try a different cable if you have another one.
If you succeed and manage to get into flashmode then reflash your ftf file and then let it boot.
If all is good and well, then download androplus kernel for example and extract the boot.img
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z5/development/kernel-andropluskernel-v1-t3246100
Install minimal adb and fastboot and connect into fastboot mode
Place the boot.img file extracted from androplus kernel in your minimal adb folder and type fastboot flash boot boot.img
if it says okay two times u can then flash twrp recovery by using the command fastboot flash recovery twrp.img where twrp.img replaced by the name of your recovery img file.
Sorry if im not clear enough, but I hope this helps you.
Well, the led only flashes shortly in red, after that comes the kernel bootlogo and nothing else.
When the bootlogo shows up the is not flashing in any color.
When I try to connect it to pc it wont recognize it, and the phone starts booting and hangs on the kernel bootlogo again.

Have you tried connecting and opening xperia companion to see if you can do a software repair there?
Or else, I would just leave it connected to a charger for the night and try again, and just keep playing with the volume up and down button while connecting it.
Also you can try installing your drivers another time, and try an older or newer version of Flashtool.... this has helped a couple of times too for me in the past so thats another thing you could try.
Good luckk:good:
Well at this moment my pc just decided to recognize the device so I am flashing now the stock firmware ATM
Thanks for the assistance

Good to hear you revived your phone
Remember if you wanna flash custom kernel:
First unlock bootloader if it isnt ofcourse
Via minimal adb and fastboot flash boot.img from a custom kernel of your choice, I would recommend androplus kernel v36.
Next you could flash a twrp recovery.img via fastboot right after flashing the kernel, but I would first boot the system for a time to see if it boots okay.
Good luck

Hello
I bought a Huawei x2 and brought a Chinese rom that gave me many problems.
I tried to ask him for updates using the "dload" method but he gave me an error.
The fact is that I formatted it from Flashtool thinking that I had the bootloader open.
After trying everything, he discovered that the bootloader is closed, but now the phone does not boot because I think I have flashed the entire system.
Flash a recovery, it makes me ok but then it does not pass Huawei's logo.
I guess without opening the bootloader it will be impossible to fix it.
I can access the Fastboot mode but I do not know what to do.
I also tried to flash img from the Huawei Extractor, which had previously worked on another X2 that I had brickered.
I guess without the open bootloader it's impossible to do anything.
I need your help. Thank you
Checked in fastboot, bootloader is unlocked.
But I cant install Twrp
I erase system, boot, user data etc
And now I dont have fastboot mode
Running error
boot image security verify failed
Help, please

Flash this boot.img in fastboot which should still work. This boot.img is from B212 but should work on any B2xx rom. I'm not sure how else to help you when I don't know much about your device.

Thanks ,but now I dont have access to fastboot mode
You have to use a usb cable and connect your phone to your PC first.
Then press volume down first + power to boot into Fastboot.
I know how use fastboot but now phone cant enter in fastboot..
Boot from B212 dont work

Now I can enter in fastboot.
I tried ALL but dont works.

anyhelp ? ive tried to do the fastboot rom flash but my pc doesnt detect my phone

Your bootloader needs to be unlocked to use a fastboot ROM.
Is it unlocked?

Yes it’s unlocked , any help
Search on the fast boot rom thread for the fast boot rom version you were last on, i have used this many times and it worked.
One thing to note, after it flashed everything , I ended up in crash dump error. I went into stock recovery and wiped/formatted my device and it boot up great.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/msm-tool-guac-for-all.3934691/ - just follow this guide
One thing that worked for me is when your phone is plugged into your pc open a command prompt and type fastboot boot twrp-*.img (make sure it is the .img not .zip), and from there download the twrp installer .zip and flash that, reboot to recovery, and install the OTA for your device (OTAs can be found at this thread).
If it fails to boot and gives you an error, try fastboot getvar all to see which slot is currently active then do fastboot --set-active=*inactive slot letter* then fastboot --set-active=*original active slot letter* then try to boot to the twrp .img from fastboot again. If fastboot doesn't detect your device at all, try seeing if adb devices outputs anything, and if it does type adb reboot bootloader
