[Completed] [Q] android device name meaning - XDA Assist

Hi,
in BOOTP / DHCP my default android device name appears as "android-327985af2a39fe75". I want to know the meaning of the number (after the "-").
It seems like some sort of unique ID but it doesn't match IMEI or MEID.
Thanks.

Hi,

[Q] Softbank 003SH Caller ID issue

Just bought Softbank Sharp 003SH running Android 2.2
New user for Android switch from WM, anyone knows how to change the country code / regional code to resume the caller id? I believe this is something similar to the registry tweaks on WM regarding the telephone mask among countries.
e.g. USA is reading the 10 digit to identify the caller, but it failed when you are using the Asian device which reading only 8 digit.
Maybe this will help: http://www.fayid.com/20100927/android-phones-caller-ids-contacts-country-code-prefixes/

Modify code to register with test IMSI

I am looking at modifying the ROM of an Android device and wanted to know if anyone knew where the code to register with the mobile network is located (ie. the place where the IMSI and KI are used from the sim to initially register with the GSM Network.) I didn't know if that was a kernel function or buried in some subsystem.
bump ...
I think the modem is responsible for that but don't take my word for it.

[Q] Changing the Kernel Version

Hi guys,
On a board my company is building, we are using a version of ICS. Therefore, I have several question :
How can I change the "Kernel Version" username in the Settings menu ? There is the name of one of my coworkers, I would like to put my company name (he's ok with that).
Is it possible, when I build the ROM, that it includes several apps we build ? If Yes, where to put them ?
Thank you very much for your help,
Good day to you.

[Completed] [Q] Mac change app for kk 4.4

Hello! I'm searching a app for changing the mac adress for android kk 4.4. devices. Everything what i found was working only whit 4.3 soft. My phone is Sony Xperia Z.
MAC Address is very specific at hardware level. It is also unique to each device's hardware. There is a reason it can not be changed. Can you please specify details around why you need to change it ?
I received a ban in the workplace. A friend of mine has an older version of Android and it has no problem replacing mac address. In fact, when I change my mac address, I do not even connect to the home network.

[Completed] Push wifi configuration file to unknown android devices.

Hi All,
I'm having a little trouble finding out how to do this.
Let me first explain what i want todo :
anyone visiting home just needs to go to a website and recieve a wifi config in order to connect to the visitors-wifi.
Setup an domain > does mobile device detection > based on that will either try to push a Iphone .mobileconfig or and android config file.
domain is ready , mobile detection somewhat ready , iphone config confirmed working.
I read something of Microsoft Intune capable of pushing xml config to android devices joined to the network.
I just want a file they can download & requests then if they want to install it , like on Iphone.
Thanks for reading!
Kind regards,
