Sony Bravia Engine for rooted Desire with init.d support

Hello mates,
(originally made for MIUI)
I have adopted files and instructions from This thread and created additional boot script to make a flashable zip for Desire (although it should work for other devices which support init.d and have "/system" mount point on "/dev/block/mtdblock3", so we can test Sony Bravia engine on our videos and pics.
What the flashable zip does:
it puts needed files in "/system/etc/" and "99braviaengine" boot script in "system/etc/init.d".
What the 99braviaengine does:
it checks if your "build.prop" file has needed lines so the Bravia engine can work. If it does not have then it remounts /system as RW and appends needed lines in your "build.prop".
This flashable zip can be used for any build, as it only appends needed lines to your current "build.prop", if needed.
Flash zip from recovery, boot phone and reboot once more so the new "build.prop" is taken into account.
Hope you'll notice some difference, I did.
Nandroid backup to be on a safe side.

Basically it should if ROM:
supports init.d and have "/system" mount point on "/dev/block/mtdblock3 (All desires should have this mount point)

Ok, does this really works? I mean there is no .apk to launch the code. Here are more informations (thanks Droidzone).

No it doesn't, as Droidzone clearly explained.

It should enhance photos and videos, some ppl notice it, while some do not.
Lots of members here are giving arguments it is not working. Could be.
TBH, if its not working, at least I learned something new in terms of shell scripting out of this.

the same as all here...some say yes some say no...myself..:think yes...also unsure but i think its a bit more clear..(not easy to test as if you changed to on or of you have other view in camera)

Hi All,
As you all know that for each ROM, we have a discussion thread. This is the discussion thread cm 11.
Discuss all that what is working, what is not working, how can we improve the ROM, performance etc....
Please read all the instructions before flashing. If you come here and ask without reading it, then probably you will have to find it your way.
Pre - Requisite
Backup all your Apps, Apps Data, contacts, messages etc.. anything that is important to you.
You should be on Latest TWRP recovery. if not then download and flash through recovery from here
You need to have CM-11 Rom zip file from here and 4.4.2 Google apps zip file from here
Alternately you can download Gapps from this thread
How to install CM 11
Make sure all the pre requisite are met
Reboot to twrp recovery.
Locate your rom zip file and flash it
Locate the gapps zip file and flash it
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Reboot.... Thats it... You are know on Android kitkat.
Now, if you are coming from any other ROM except CM 11, then do Wipe data from recovery.
But if you encounter boot loops, then sadly, you need to wipe your data.
Note: first Boot will take a lot of time.
ROM itself Rooted, but you just need to download a superuser App from play store.
Bugs:
Same as Omni 4.4.2 (might be mass storage is working)

cm11 is good .i found camera not woek well. and cm11 not as soomth as omni4.4

Yeah did a clean Install.. Tried changing different governors too.. By lag I meant scroll lag n opening of apps
The recovery for omni n cm r same right? I din flash d recovery from cm thread again.. Used the old one itself

Yep it is same... Might be some app is causing the lag... I am not seeing lag.. It is same like omni for me...

bugs:
while booting sometimes stucks on galaxy r logo..
some time hangs and screen goes blank....
rapid connection break during download big games from play store...
if made any changes with language and input touch button wont work any more..(hard reset)
device gets heated...with this rom...
very rapid battery drain after reboot...
karthik can you fix it..
i dont know android programmings..
i knw c#.vb.cpp.c.js.java
bt dnt knw hw to use these in android...

So I'm on a i337 ATT unlocked don't use safestrap cause I'm bootloader unlocked is this only for device with SS? Wouldn't mind trying but don't want a brick

No doesn't boot at all stuck on Samsung splash. Tried various kernels no luck. No PC so all work being done on phone.

I had to edit the updater-script to get it to flash. Yeah from full wipe. Been a while since I done any kind of mods. Takes time to move and replace files using powergrasp lol

Not sure having no PC doesn't help. Replacing libs/bin might get some movements but without logcat it be hard
