Bootloader unlocking problem!!! - Sony Xperia M2

Im trying to unlock bootloader and got error!
Im on 18.3.C.0.37 4.4.2 firmware
FAILED (remote: Command did not succeed)
finished. total time: 0.102s
Where is problem?

Have you checked to see if it is unlockable. It does say bootloader unlock allowed: yes, in the service menu because if it says bootloader unlock allowed: no then it can't be unlocked ever. I think I'm right in saying that sim free handsets are usually unlockable and carrier/network locked devices are usually locked down. My m2 is unlocked to use any network and mine bootloader is unlockable.

Yes on every reboot I checked and it says Bootloader unlock allowed: Yes

Have you enabled USB Debugging?
Send the whole log if you can.

Yes! But i forget to menton that im restored my TA partition early to lock bootloader again!
does it affect unlocking afterwards?

Hmm... I don't know, because I lost my TA Partition when unlocked bootloader :silly: But I think that's not a problem, just try again.

I tried but still the same error
And if I do enter command again its says. "remote: Device already rooted"
But service menu says "Bootloader unlock allowed: YES"
And I just tried to flash kernel via Rashr and it worked I think. I flashed stock kernel over stock (Created backup Stock and flashed Stock kernel)
One thing would be like service menu tells wrong info...
Im looking info from peole who has advenced knowledge or faced same problem

Try with Flashtool, they use Sony's official unlock code, and it will tell you if you have unlocked bootloader or not.
Xperia M2 D2303 on K.K. 4.4.4

It still not work i tried another pc but still says "remote:command did not succeed"
Drivers connot be a problem. I think something is wrong with my TA or Cusomization...

Try if PC Companion can fix it, if it's something messed up it will tell you that your phone is modified. Yesterday i unlocked Xperia E with Flashtool. It was 5 minutes job. You doing something wrong, but you'll get it.
Xperia M2 D2303 on K.K. 4.4.4

Not sure if this is the case, but I've read you can't re-lock the bootloader if you have a custom kernel (or ROM) installed. Or better, you should be able to, but then the phone won't boot.
I would try flashing the whole stock ROM and then try to lock it again. At least as a test.

But if PCC says im modified how can i fit it then

You got an update on your Xperia M2(d2305) to 4.4.4.So you didnt unlock the bootloader. Right?
First when you root your phone that makes a file name su in your system.Factory data doesnt change system folders. So you have still root access.
All you need to do is;
-install supersu
-Get into setings
-Click unroot botton That remove your root access.
i am not sure but if you instaled xposed you may need to remove it.You can find it in firmware options.
(Just in case: to relock the bootloader Connect your phone (into flash mode) to Flashtool and click the "BLU" button )
Good Luck
@XlseS
Did you try to relock it with Flashtool? There was option for that i did it on my Tipo.

I had an update to 4.4.2 via PC Companion, so files are all there.
If I reflash my phone, will the TA partition get reflashed too? In other words, will it get back my DRM keys?
There is method with TA script to backup and restore TA, but if I have backup of original ROM that came with my phone, so I'm asking will it do the job, because I have TA.img without md5sum.
Another reason is this one: http://www.xda-developers.com/restore-lost-functionality-on-your-unlocked-xperia-device-part-two/
Camera seems to get loss of functionality with removal of DRM keys.
EDIT: The answer is: nope. TA partition must be restored first.

Don't use latest Flashtool (0.9.19). Use 0.9.18.6.
hi, first of all, i ve got a D2203 LTE . My bootloader cannot be officially unlocked. If i flash the open devices bootloader, does it mean, i get an unlocked bootloader. If so, what do i do next because i have flashed it and all i get is a black screen. P.S. i am on stock Sony Rom
the new bootloader doesn't work with sony roms,
you have to flash cyanogenmod or aosp.

Is there a way for us to know which partition from /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name is the bootloader?
So to clarify if I have a DD2203 with sony bootloader that is unlock allowed = NO, so its locked I can flash this and have a fully working unlocked bootloader that I can load cyanogenmod with?

Xperia Z5 Bootloader unlocking not allowed after having unlocked it once before?

When I got my phone, the unlocking status was unlock allowed: yes
I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom from androplus that had supersu.
after the rom was installed the unlocking status is unlock allowed: no
now I have a nagging notification to update android on my phone and it can't because I'm running a custom rom, and I can't update the rom because the bootloader is locked. what do I do?

So, basically you unlocked your bootloader to flash a custom rom and now you want to receive official ota updates from Sony?
If so, you have to stay in stock roms (flash with flashtool in flashmode or Xperia Compation in repair option) otherwise you need to wait for developer of custom rom you installed for an update.

no not quite, as I said I want to update the custom rom, but I can't flash another rom because my bootloader has been locked and I can't unlock it again.
the escape plan would be to flash stock rom back onto it, but I'd like to keep supersu if possible.

no, the site that provides the guide and key to unlock the bootloader specifically says I can't unlock it if the status says unlocked allowed: no
are you saying I should try anyway? other forums says there is no way around it if unlocked allowed is no.
the reason I haven't tried is the threat of having my data wiped without actually unlocking it

Unable to unlock bootloader?

Hi, I have a Tipo s21i.
Looking to flash a custom rom and possibly root. Although looking through a few guides it says I need to unlock bootloader. But when I go on service menu suggested on sony website it says my bootloader is not unlockable.
Do I need to unlock the bootloader to install custom roms?
If so what can I do to do it as it says its not unlockable?
Thanks
First check if your bootloader can be unlocked. Open Phone and dial *#*#7378423#*#*
Service Menu should appear, go to service info, Customization Settings, at the end if Rooting Status: Bootloader unlock allow No you can't unlock bootloader. If it's missing you can't unlock it. If it is said Yes you can. You can use Flashtool or official Sony way to unlock it. Search XDA there are plenty tutorials on how to.
Good Luck!

Can't flash 7.0

I got a unlocked bootloader XZ dual 8332, download tft from Xperiafirm, and at the end of flash session i got a erro :
Code:
[COLOR="Red"]01/025/2016 17:25:54 - ERROR - Have read only 524256 byte(s) instead of 780004 byte(s)
01/025/2016 17:25:54 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted[/COLOR]
What does it's meanning ? My phone got a "update failed" when turn on now.
Do we need check some "check box" or anything before flash a tft file ?
And is anyway to relock bootloader if we want repair by Xperia Companion or update through OTA ?
Thanks.
AFAIK flashtool is not compatible with 7.0 yet and there is no way to relock your bootloader yet.

When you flash a modified kernel with drm fix your drm is working. When you relock your bootloader your phone got factory reset itself and drm still in your phone.
Try to update via ota
After that because you are unlocked try to flash flashfire and install supersu to be rooted and searsh to drm fix file and flash it manually from any root file manager.
Another step
Uodate your unlocked phone ota update
Restart you phone
It should be working now with no drm fix
Poweroff your phone
Enter falshmode (power button + volum up) you see a purpul led
Enter adb and flash supersu sr5
It should work after flash drm manually
Try and reply please

So much wrong info here.
Firstly, once you unlock the bootloader the TA partition where the DRM keys are stored is formatted. They are gone forever. Relocking the bootloader does not bring them back. The DRM fix replicates (Not 100% fixes) the missing functions and this fix only works on rooted phones, which you cannot have with a locked bootloader.
Secondly, do not try and update OTA with an unlocked bootloader. It could brick your device.
Are there any known issues when unlocking the boot loader?
A: Yes. When you select a device, any known issues for that device will be displayed. In addition, the following generic issues have been reported:
•Some users have experienced problems when they are accepting over the air upgrades. Therefore we do not recommend users to accept over the air upgrades, after having unlocked the boot loader. For additional information, check out the XDA Forums for hints and tips from the community.

Everything you wrote is absolutely correct.
PC companion detects that the device is unlocked & OTA's automatically fails to install.
So apparently, relocking & updating is possible but relocking means you can no longer use the stock camera anymore.
